Chapter 188 Believe in Science

When Geng Ying woke up in the early morning, Song Shang was still fast asleep in his arms.

She stared blankly at the warm, white bundle in her arms, and subconsciously patted his head.

"Gurgle, gurgle..." A faint snoring sound came from Song Shang's mouth, and Geng Ying froze on the spot.

She glanced at the hamster plush toy on the floor out of the corner of her eye, then cautiously looked at the spot on the pillow where Song Shang had slept last night. There wasn't a single wrinkle there, clearly indicating that he hadn't slept there in a long time.

Geng Ying's eyes lit up, as if she suddenly realized something. She abruptly pulled the sleeping Song Shang up, buried her head in his soft belly, and screamed, "Ahhh!! Baby's jealous! He crawled into Mommy's bed tonight!! Hahaha!!!"

The loud tremors and high-pitched noises woke Song Shang.

He opened his eyes, somewhat dazed, staring at the woman on his stomach who was laughing so hard she was shaking. He rolled his eyes speechlessly and said, "Meow~"

You stinky woman! You woke him up!!!

Geng Ying looked up and met Song Shang's accusing eyes, her smile becoming even more wicked. "Hahaha! Sweetie is so good! Mommy has decided! I'll take you out to play again this week during the holiday! Okay?"

"Meow~" Song Shang shook his white fur, struggled out of her arms, stretched, and looked disdainful.

He didn't fall asleep in her arms just to go out and have fun; he just couldn't stand that this woman would ignore such a cute creature like him and turn around to hug that ugly mouse on the ground.

This is a blow to his charm as a nine-tailed fox!

He absolutely will not allow it!

Mental hospital.

Fang Ling lay on the hospital bed with a numb expression, her limbs bound to the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.

Knock knock knock...

There was a knock on the door. Fang Ling's eyes trembled slightly, and she stiffly shifted her gaze to the doorway.

Fang Ming, sitting in a wheelchair, came into her view.

“Xiao Ling…” Fang Ming’s face showed heartache, and his voice choked with emotion.

He maneuvered the wheelchair toward the hospital bed, "You..."

Fang Ling's expression was blank, devoid of emotion, as if she hadn't even seen him.

She moved her pale lips, trying to say something, but found herself unable to utter a single word.

With tears in his eyes, Fang Ming bent down and hugged her tightly, sobbing as he said, "Xiao Ling... Xiao Ling... I'm sorry."

She licked her dry lips, and a weak, rough voice rang out, "Brother..."

"I'm here...I'm here..." Fang Ming immediately stood up, his eyes fixed on her, brushing away the messy hair on her face, "Brother is here..."

Fang Ling opened her mouth, "I...I'm not crazy..."

Fang Ming's eyes widened, and the fingertips that were twirling her hair paused for a moment. "What do you mean?"

"I've been framed," Fang Ling said with difficulty, explaining haltingly, "Tang Song... it was him..."

As soon as she finished speaking, Fang Ling coughed violently, and blood spilled from the corner of her mouth.

His whole body convulsed as if he had been electrocuted, and he was unable to control his body.

Before Fang Ming could process the information he had just heard, he quickly called for doctors and nurses.

After a period of chaos, Fang Ling stopped vomiting blood and lay quietly on the bed with her eyes closed.

Fang Ming sat on the edge of the bed with a deep expression, his fingertips tapping on the armrest of the wheelchair. After a moment, he made a phone call to his father.

Half an hour later, Fang Ming hung up the phone, stared meaningfully at Fang Ling on the bed, and sighed softly.

He bent down and pulled the blanket in front of her up, then maneuvered the wheelchair away.

National Research Institute.

Fang Ming and his father met at the gate.

Fang Ming: "Dad... is everything you said true?"

Father Fang: "Really."

Fang Ming: "Is Tang Song really a wolf?"

"Hmm." Mr. Fang lowered his eyes, staring at the recording chip in his hand. "Zhu Hao is stubborn and won't listen to reason. We have to give him some serious information."

Fang Ming hesitated, "But if we can't even determine the authenticity of a recording, will anyone believe it?"

Mr. Fang glanced at the cast still on his body and asked, "Have you forgotten how you got these injuries?"

Fang Ming paused, recalling what his father had said earlier: Tang Song had dismantled the nearly 300-pound wooden door all by himself.

He felt his injuries begin to ache again.

"Mm," Fang Ming replied in a muffled voice, "I understand."

Mr. Fang took a deep breath, picked up his phone, took a picture of the sign at the entrance of the research institute, sent it to Zhu Hao, then put his phone away and went inside.

Fang Ming followed behind him, his face somber, lost in thought.

*

On the other side, Zhu Hao, who was training in the back mountain of the manor, was excitedly climbing from the foot of the mountain to the top.

The moment my feet touched the ground, my phone rang in my pocket.

She paused, glanced back at Tang Song who was watching her nervously, and took out her phone.

It was a text message that didn't say anything, only a picture of the National Research Institute.

Zhu Hao frowned, recalling the threatening text message Fang's father had sent her earlier, and a bad feeling rose in her heart.

Could it be that Fang's father really revealed the information that Tang Song is a wolf to the research institute?

"What's wrong?" Tang Song walked to her side, bent down slightly, and glanced at her phone screen.

I wasn't peeking! I was just checking on the cubs because I was worried about them!

That picture caught Tang Song's eye.

He frowned and said emotionlessly, "Ignore him, continue training."

[That old fool, does he think he can threaten me and the cubs like this? I've been so busy training the cubs these past few days that I forgot about you, you old bastard! You just wait!]

[You keep harassing my cub like this, I'm not done with you!]

Tang Song took Zhu Hao's phone and said, "Let's continue training."

Zhu Hao raised an eyebrow slightly, nodded obediently, adjusted the pink protective gear on her body, and turned to continue practicing her running speed.

These past few days, she has been getting up very early, training with Tang Song in the back mountain for two hours, and then going to the library to study.

To be honest, she does feel that her body is stronger than before, both in terms of limb strength and the sense of touch in her face.

During training, she suddenly felt that her body was really like a wolf, swift and agile.

When I was studying in the library, I had much more energy than before, and I felt that my efficiency had improved by more than one level.

She's much more enthusiastic about training now than Tang Song is.

Tang Song stood on the mountaintop, watching Zhu Hao's retreating figure running down the mountain, a gratified smile curving his lips.

He took out his phone, glanced at the picture on Zhu Hao's phone, and sneered, "Overestimating yourself."

He pulled out his contacts, scrolled to the bottom, and called the number labeled "Dean".

A minute later, Tang Song put away his phone and ran towards the direction Zhu Hao was heading down the mountain.

"Damn it!" Mr. Fang swept the computer off the table and onto the floor, cursing, "Why don't you believe me?"

Fang Ming stared at the computer wreckage on the ground, pursing his lips and remaining silent.

Mr. Fang was so angry that his chest heaved. "Those people are clearly interested in all sorts of strange and unusual things!"

"Why is it that when I mention werewolves, they suddenly want me to believe in science? And they even kicked us out?!"
