Chapter 17 Who wouldn't be confused after reading this

This is how this marriage came about.

Luo Jiuyu pulled the corner of his mouth, looked at Hua Meimei, biting a smile: "Satisfied."

Mrs. Luo took Hua Meimei's hand and asked, "What about you? Do you like Xiaojiu?"

Xiaojiu?

Only then did Hua Meimei know that his nickname was Xiaojiu.

But the scene of her hugging and kissing him last night flashed in her mind. She couldn't help but laugh awkwardly: "I like him. Grandma, he's so handsome, who wouldn't be confused when seeing him."

Luo Jiuyu read something in her eyes, probably trying to make excuses for her own misconduct last night.

He snorted in his heart and glanced at her.

She took advantage of the elders' inattention and looked back at him, her eyes saying: What can you do to me?

Everyone walked home together. As they walked, Grandpa Luo asked Luo Jiuyu what he had been busy with after marriage.

Luo Jiuyu lied calmly, "To accompany my wife."

"Did you have your honeymoon?" asked the old lady.

"No," he said. "It's too cold."

The old lady continued, "What's the big deal? If you're afraid of the cold, just go somewhere warm for vacation."

Hua Meimei listened quietly on the side and didn't want to say a word.

Let her go on a honeymoon with him? No way. Absolutely not.

This marriage is just a decoration, she and he know it very well.

When she got home, Li Xiang had already put the food on the table.

The family sat together and started to eat.

"It's such a sumptuous meal! How can we finish so many dishes?" Old Mrs. Luo said, looking at the table full of delicacies. "Your grandfather and I are old, and our appetites have decreased."

Luo Jiuyu said: "Hua Meimei did it with all her heart."

Is this a compliment to her for her hard work in cooking, or a blame for doing too much? Hua Meimei just wants to laugh.

"I can't cook. I learned it from Aunt Xiang. I just helped and fried two dishes. I hope grandpa and grandma don't mind."

"I can see that Meimei put a lot of effort into this dish. It's one of our favorites," said Grandpa Luo.

"Don't mind, Meimei is such a good child. Everyone is hungry, let's eat." Old Mrs. Luo picked up the chopsticks first.

After dinner, they sat in the living room with Mr. and Mrs. Luo to watch TV.

Old Mrs. Luo waved for her to sit next to her and began to care about the details of her and Luo Jiuyu's life.

Hua Meimei blushed and answered vaguely, her eyes occasionally drifting towards Luo Jiuyu for help.

Luo Jiuyu pretended not to see it, but the corners of his mouth rose slightly, as if he was enjoying her embarrassment.

You didn't even help me out? Okay, wait for me.
