After daybreak, the group from 806 accompanied Chen Siyu home.
The boys didn't go with them. They had originally intended to go, but Zheng Mo needed their help, so they stayed behind.
When they returned to Chen Siyu's home, her aunt and uncle were incredibly excited to see her.
Chen Siyu was also very excited. After hugging her parents, she looked around but couldn't see the little figure. "Mom, where's Chen Zhiyu?"
Chen Ma wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, pointed in the direction of the door, and whispered, "She's in her room. She's probably angry with you, otherwise she wouldn't have stayed inside."
Cheng Zhi and the others, not being involved, naturally didn't understand why, but Chen Siyu herself knew.
It was because of that last phone call a few months ago. She was in a great hurry and rushed to explain the situation to her family, neglecting her younger sister. She even scolded her because she was too anxious. Chen Zhiyu was naturally very angry. The two sisters argued and parted on bad terms.
Ultimately, it was her fault. Chen Siyu knocked on the door twice and then pushed it open and went inside.
As soon as the door opened, a unicorn doll was thrown at her, and a chubby little girl stood with her hands on her hips, glaring at her angrily without saying a word.
Chen Siyu reacted quickly, grabbing the soft doll. She squatted down and looked at Chen Zhiyu, saying sincerely, "Little Zhiyu, I was wrong. I shouldn't have scolded you. I apologize."
Chen Zhiyu was still glaring at her, seemingly still angry. But as she glared, the child's eyes reddened, her lips pouted, and she burst into tears.
This left Chen Siyu completely bewildered. What was going on? Are all kids these days so temperamental? How could she cry after all this time?
Chen Siyu was completely confused and wanted to go over to her and comfort her.
Before she could even stand up, Chen Zhiyu ran over and hugged her sister tightly around the neck, crying as she said, "Sister, how could you... only come back today? I... I thought we had a fight, that you were angry with me, and that's why you didn't come back. I was wrong, I'll never... fight with you again, waaaah..."
Zhiyu cried as she spoke, her words incoherent. Even so, Chen Siyu understood what her younger sister meant and patted her back comfortingly. "No, it's nothing. How could I be angry with Zhiyu? It's just that it's really far from school that I came back so late. I'm sorry for making Zhiyu worry about me."
At first, they were worried that Chen Zhiyu would throw a tantrum, so Chen's parents quietly stood by the door. Seeing that they had finally made up after so long, they were relieved.
Chen Zhiyu's room was opposite the living room. The group of people in room 806 sat on the sofa watching, and they all felt their eyes welling up with tears.
As Xiao Feiran watched the two sisters, she was about to remark to the person next to her how good their relationship was when she turned her head and saw Cheng Zhi and Zheng Wan with envy, jealousy, and hatred in their eyes, almost crushing their water glasses.
Cheng Zhi: "I also want a sweet and soft little sister, I don't want a smelly little brother!"
Zheng Wan: "Is this some kind of fairy tale? I also want such a gentle older sister. I can trade all four of my sisters for this one!"
Xiao Feiran: "..." This is like telling your mom you want a brother—it's too late to say anything!
Huang Yiyi, an only child, tapped the two of them on the head and said, "Wake up, sisters. Don't think about these impossible things during the day. Think about them in your dreams when you're asleep at night."
