After learning about Cheng Zhi's request, Xiao Zhi spun around twice and summarized, "You need me to help you 'smuggle' things, right?"
It was very concise and to the point. Cheng Zhi nodded, "Yes, I just want you to help me transport a few books. That should be possible, right?"
Under the expectant gaze of his friend, Xiao Zhi said "okay".
Cheng Zhi's heart immediately relaxed. She picked up Xiao Zhi and spun him around twice, praising him wildly, "Xiao Zhi, you're amazing! You're incredible! How can there be such a perfect robot in the world!"
Xiao Feiran, standing next to him, put on a fake smile and muttered in a low voice, "Isn't that a bit too much..."
Taking a break, Cheng Zhi kicked Xiao Feiran, "Never mind, just praise her!"
Helpless, Xiao Feiran joined Cheng Zhi in the commotion, the two of them singing and dancing around the robot, making quite a racket. This caused them to completely miss Cheng Ye's knock on the door, "Sis, can I borrow your storage box..."
As soon as Cheng Ye pushed open the door, he saw his two older sisters dancing around the robot vacuum cleaner. He looked at them with a puzzled expression and asked, "What are you two doing? Are you performing a shamanic ritual?"
This is hard to explain. Cheng Zhi put Xiao Zhi down somewhat awkwardly. "Don't meddle in adults' affairs. Did you put your things away properly before running around like this?"
When the topic of packing came up, Cheng Ye remembered the important matter. "I came here to pack my things. Where's that storage box you used in high school? If you don't need it, lend it to me to store my books."
Cheng Zhi had a storage box, but she hadn't used it since graduation. She didn't know where she had put it for a while, and after wandering around for a long time, she finally found the box under the bed.
After taking out the miscellaneous items inside, Cheng Zhi handed the box to Cheng Ye, saying, "Remember to wipe it clean before using it."
Cheng Ye agreed and left with her suitcase.
After Cheng Ye left, the two looked at each other. Xiao Feiran pointed to the things in the room and said, "Come on, Ye, pack your things."
The two of them started with the wardrobe and packed all the clothes they wouldn't be wearing for the time being into compression bags.
As he was putting things away, Xiao Feiran pulled out a black and gray tie-dye camisole from the corner of the closet, and his expression immediately turned into a freakish look. "Wow! A sexy camisole! I've never seen you wear one at school before?"
I don't even know when she bought the clothes. Cheng Zhi grabbed them and stuffed them into the bag. "It's hard enough to get up at school. It's already pretty good if I can just put on a short-sleeved shirt to go to class. A sexy tank top? Impossible, impossible in this lifetime."
Xiao Feiran retorted, "Fine, you're too lazy to wear it to class, but I've never seen you wear it when you go out to play."
Cheng Zhi explained, "We're all so familiar with each other. The fact that I washed my hair before going out with you guys is the greatest respect I can show you."
Xiao Feiran was about to speak when Cheng Zhi quickly covered her mouth. "Let's not talk about each other. You only wore a skirt on the first day of school, and I haven't seen you wear one at other times. You want me to wear a tank top? Unless you wear a skirt too!"
To find out she was waiting for him here, Xiao Feiran made a gesture of surrender. "I was wrong. Let's live a simple life together. Let's not bother with those fancy clothes."
That's more like it. Cheng Zhi sat back down and continued tidying up.
After they had packed up most of their things, they went out to check on everyone's progress.
Cheng's father was the fastest to pack, having already packed everything he needed to take with him.
Cheng Ye had almost nothing besides books and clothes, so she moved quite quickly.
Things weren't going so well for Cheng's mother. She was sentimental and reluctant to throw anything away. When they went in, she was holding a small box, looking worried.
Cheng Zhi leaned closer to take a look and was surprised to find that they were two very old pacifiers.
When Cheng Zhi arrived, Cheng's mother said, "These are the things you and Cheng Ye used when you were little. I've kept them all this time as a keepsake. Now that we're moving, this box of things, although meaningful, is also in the way, so I can't bear to throw it away."
Cheng Zhi glanced into the box; inside were baby bottles, nipples, and the red footprints they had been born with, all treasured by Cheng's mother.
Before Cheng Zhi could speak, Xiao Feiran, who was standing next to her, said, "It's very meaningful. Let's not throw it away. This box isn't big; we can fit it all in."
After saying this, she went to the living room and repeated it to Cheng's father and Cheng Ye: take everything you can and try not to leave anything behind.
The day passed, and it was evening again, time for the girls to gather in their online space.
When they told everyone that they were going to move, Zheng Wan and Chen Siyu were overjoyed.
Chen Siyu was quite sentimental, and she started crying while laughing. "It's so great that you can move to Yangzhou. Before, Zheng Wan and I could take care of each other in Yudu, and you two were also in the same family. Yiyi was all alone, and I was really worried about her. Now that you're moving there, Yiyi will have company."
Huang Yiyi was moved by Chen Siyu's words and hugged him, crying together. She was so surprised that Chen Siyu was so worried about her.
The two of them were laughing and crying at the same time. Zheng Wan's eyes were even a little wet. She leaned against them and said, "Oh, such good news, why are you crying?"
The three of them hugged each other, and Cheng Zhi and Xiao Feiran squeezed in as well. The five of them huddled together, and in no time Huang Yiyi and Chen Siyu stopped crying.
After calming down, Chen Siyu wiped away her tears and inquired about their moving plans, "How are you planning to move? Have you found a place to stay?"
Speaking of accommodation, Huang Yiyi raised her hand, "I've already secured a place. It's right upstairs from my house. It's our house. It was rented out before, but now that family's child has graduated from high school, they gave up the house and haven't been able to rent it out since. I told my parents about it, and they gave me the keys right away. You can come and relax, there's furniture and everything!"
