Chapter 203 Tomato and Potato Soup

It's been almost a week since Cheng Zhi and her friends arrived at Jiufeng Mountain. Apart from going out once, they've stayed in the Tulou (earthen buildings) the whole time.

The past few days had been peaceful, but Cheng Zhi was still uneasy, so she went into the space again and found Xiao Zhi.

"Xiao Zhi, what's the weather like for the next week?" Cheng Zhi asked.

Xiao Zhi immediately replied, "The temperature in Jiufeng Mountain will be between -50°C and 24°C in the coming week. Due to the influence of multiple air currents, there will be heavy rain in the next two days. Please remember to wear warm clothes and bring an umbrella to avoid catching a cold."

Cheng Zhi shivered just hearing about the temperature difference.

When she left the space, she also took out all the thick quilts and clothes for the whole family, a total of ten compression bags, which made her arms almost break from carrying them.

Xiao Feiran, who came up from downstairs, couldn't even push the door open to come in. She struggled to open it a crack and looked at the mess on the floor, asking, "Why did you take out your thick clothes?"

Cheng Zhi saw that the door was blocked, so she quickly went over to take the things away and let Xiao Feiran in. "I checked the weather forecast. It's going to get colder next week, so I took the things out in advance so I wouldn't be in a rush later."

She knew without asking that it was Xiaozhi who told her.

Xiao Feiran came in, stepped over the things on the ground, found a place to stand, and together with Cheng Zhi, sorted and put everything away.

First, pick out Mom and Dad's clothes and blankets, and then I'll take them to them when I go downstairs later.

By the time they had sorted everything out, both of them were covered in sweat.

They sat on the footstool in front of the bed when Xiao Feiran suddenly thought of something and quickly turned to Cheng Zhi, asking, "Won't Qi Yanche and the others be doomed? If they come out now, they'll either be swept away by the water or freeze to death!"

Cheng Zhi stopped fanning herself. "It shouldn't be that bad, right? They wouldn't come without any luggage, would they?"

That's true," Xiao Feiran nodded. "Hopefully they'll arrive soon."

Hearing this, Cheng Zhi snorted coldly, "Quick? The time is almost up. I wish them success."

Cheng Zhi seemed very angry. Xiao Feiran patted her on the back, "Seriously? Why are you still angry? Didn't Huang Yiyi already explain it to you?"

Cheng Zhi shook her head. "I understand, but that doesn't conflict with my being angry."

Xiao Feiran: "..."

Since Cheng Zhi had said that, Xiao Feiran had nothing to say. Feeling that she had rested enough, she and Cheng Zhi moved all their things to the third floor.

When carrying things with both hands, the hair that wasn't tied up would often block the view or brush against the face.

Xiao Feiran shook her head many times, but her hair would still fall out after a while.

She was getting annoyed, so she went back to the fourth floor, picked up a pair of scissors, and prepared to cut off her waist-length hair with her bare hands.

Cheng Zhi watched her holding the knife and gesturing in front of the mirror, and felt that it was still a bit inappropriate. "Sis, shouldn't we be more careful? If you ruin it now, no one can fix it for you."

Xiao Feiran was someone who listened to advice. She put down her hand, thought for a while, and said, "Why don't you cut it for me? Just a little bit will do."

Unexpectedly, Xiao Feiran said that. Cheng Zhi was stunned for a moment, and then immediately refused, "I'm clumsy, I can't do it."

But who would cut hair? Xiao Feiran thought about it for a while, but couldn't think of a suitable person.

Cheng Zhi suddenly remembered the instruction manual she had read a few days ago, and she said with a smile, "Who says no one can cut hair? Xiao Zhi can!"

Oh right, how could I forget about Ash, this all-around player?

Without further ado, Xiao Feiran vanished in a flash.

Cheng Zhi blinked. She originally wanted to follow up and see what was going on, but then she thought that Xiao Zhi was high-tech after all and should be more reliable than a human hairdresser, so she went downstairs to do something else.

Huang Yiyi, who was boiling water, didn't see Xiao Feiran come down, so she asked her about it. When she learned that Xiao Feiran had gone to get a haircut, Huang Yiyi was overjoyed.

Cheng Zhi, who was standing next to Huang Yiyi, was adding firewood to the stove with fire tongs. Seeing Huang Yiyi laughing so happily, she was a little puzzled. "It's just a haircut, what's so funny?"

Huang Yiyi calmed herself down a bit. "Haven't you heard the saying, 'No one can walk out of a hair salon with a smile on their face'?"

Cheng Zhi had heard of it, but she still thought that Xiao Zhi was a robot and would definitely not be like an ordinary hairdresser.

The two women stuck to their own stories, and Huang Yiyi, the gambling addict, started again: "Should we bet or not? If she cries, you'll boil water for me for three days?"

Cheng Zhi retorted, "Fine, let's make a bet. If she doesn't cry, you have to wash my clothes for three days!"

Chen Siyu, who was chopping wood behind them, got anxious. "You two, can't you keep an eye on the pot? It's already boiling!"

The two, reminded, then turned their attention back to the pot.

Half an hour later, Xiao Feiran came downstairs. Her waist-length hair was gone; it was now shoulder-length.

Cheng Zhi and Huang Yiyi immediately rushed over and surrounded her, asking, "How is it? How does it feel?"

The two suddenly got close, and Xiao Feiran was almost pushed over. "Nothing happened, I felt great. I'll ask Xiao Zhi to cut my hair again next time. Also, could you two please stay away from me?"

Having gotten the answer she wanted, Cheng Zhi happily distanced herself from him.

Huang Yiyi was different; she got closer and closer, trying to find a tear in Xiao Feiran's eye, but unfortunately, she didn't.

Xiao Feiran: "..." Can someone tell me what's wrong with this kid this time?

Huang Yiyi was disappointed. She looked at Xiao Feiran and shook her head repeatedly, "You don't play by the rules at all! Xiao Zhi cut it so short for you! Aren't you sad?"

Xiao Feiran laughed, "No, this is exactly what I expected, why should I be sad?"
