Xiao Feiran sat up in bed, rubbing his head, and said, "Wow, isn't this a good thing? Now all the women and children on the ship are safe."
They were so calm, without the slightest bit of surprise.
Cheng Ye began to have doubts. He sat down in a chair and asked, "You guys didn't do this, did you?"
Cheng Zhi waved her sleeve at him, "Can't you smell the alcohol on us? We were drinking and chatting this afternoon."
This wasn't a completely negative answer, and Cheng Ye didn't intend to ask any further.
Cheng Zhi knew that Cheng Ye wouldn't completely believe it, but since he didn't say anything, she didn't say anything more either.
After a while, Cheng Ye said, "I just hope you are safe."
Cheng Zhi went over and patted his head. "Don't worry, we will."
That chapter is closed now. Cheng Zhi sat down on the edge of the bed. "So what's the situation now?"
Cheng Ye told them the news she had just heard from passersby and crew members: "He died in the restaurant's toilet. He was already erect when he was found. Nobody dares to go into that restaurant now. The crew said that starting tomorrow, we'll eat at the Western restaurant next door. As for the body, the captain hasn't made a decision yet."
Xiao Feiran picked up the water bottle from the bedside table and took a sip. "Aren't we going to find the murderer?"
Cheng Ye shook his head. "It seems like someone is checking the surveillance footage, but none of us are professionals, and he's offended so many people, who knows who the murderer is."
As Cheng Zhi combed her hair, she said, "If it were me, I would just throw him down and return him to Mother Earth."
The three people were talking when suddenly there was a knock at the door.
Cheng Ye went to open it, but to his surprise, it was the captain.
Cheng Ye's heart skipped a beat, but she remained calm on the surface. "Good afternoon, Captain."
Zoe smiled and replied, "Hello, isn't this the ladies' double room? What are you doing here?"
Cheng Ye nodded, pointed inside, and said, "I've come to see my sisters."
After he finished speaking, he turned to the side and asked, "Would you like to come in and sit for a while?"
Zoe stepped inside, saying, "That's exactly what I was thinking."
When Zoe came in, she sat down in the chair very naturally.
Cheng Ye sat on his sister's bed.
Cheng Zhi didn't rush to speak; she was more interested in knowing what Zoe would say.
"There's a smell of alcohol in your room. You didn't start drinking in broad daylight, did you?" Zoe asked them with a smile.
Cheng Zhi smiled sheepishly, "I only intended to have a little, but we ended up drinking more than we should have. Please excuse me."
The captain definitely didn't come over just to chat with them.
After a brief exchange, Zoe said directly, "I believe your brother has already told you about Mr. Luo."
Cheng Zhi nodded gently, "Yes, he just came over and told me about it. It sounds really scary. I talked to him at noon, and when I woke up after a nap, he was gone."
Unexpectedly, the young girl in front of him made no attempt to hide anything and directly confessed that she had spoken with him at noon.
Zoe looked at the siblings and asked, "Judging from the surveillance footage, it seems that you and him have a conflict. You argued the first time you met, and the second time you met, things were very tense. He was the one who provoked you the first time, but this time you were the one who spoke to him first."
This surveillance footage is incredibly clear.
Cheng Zhi remained calm, brushing a stray hair behind her ear. "It was indeed me who started it at noon. I wanted to laugh when I saw his bruised and swollen face. He's disgusted me so many times, can't I at least give him a sarcastic remark?"
Zoe burst out laughing when she heard her say that. "Hahaha, Cheng, you're really blunt. He was killed at noon. Aren't you afraid that your words will make me suspicious of you?"
Cheng Zhi shrugged. "You've already seen the surveillance footage, so you know very clearly what I did."
Zoe nodded, though it was unclear what she meant.
After saying a few more words, she got up and left.
The two older sisters didn't react much, but Cheng Ye felt inexplicably nervous.
Deep down, he still felt that the matter was inextricably linked to his sisters.
Xiao Feiran ran her fingers through her hair. "Why don't you stay in our room for a while? Zoe might come to your room later. After all, Qi Yanche and the others beat him up, so they'll probably interrogate him a bit."
Seeing their calm expressions, Cheng Ye couldn't help but ask again, "His affairs really have nothing to do with you?"
Cheng Zhi was making the bed, and she didn't even look up. "Everything I just said is true."
After tidying themselves up and their room, the two prepared to go upstairs to find their parents.
After knocking on the door for a long time, Cheng's parents did not respond.
Xiao Feiran pointed to the next room, "My intuition tells us that they are definitely talking about this at Siyu's house right now."
In the past, when she knocked on the door, not only her parents would be there, but also Zheng Wan's four older sisters, filling the entire room with people.
The three siblings squeezed in with great difficulty.
Zheng Wan's father was vividly recounting the incident, saying, "I heard that when they found her, she had a huge hole in her neck, and all the blood had drained out. Her eyes were wide open, as if she had been scared to death."
Cheng's mother also said, "I heard from Sister Zhang next door that he was never a good person. He did a lot of bad things, and no matter how many Buddhist amulets he hangs, it's useless. Today he is being haunted by vengeful spirits."
Hearing Cheng's mother say this, the third sister, Zheng Yi, also nodded. "When we were eating at the restaurant before, the aunt at the next table told me that he used to be a kidnapper who trafficked women and children, and he had even been to jail."
