Chapter 235 One Year Anniversary

For the next three hours, the three of them played cards.

Three hours later, Cheng Zhi couldn't sit still any longer. She used a card to fan herself, saying, "It's supposed to be three hours, why isn't he coming out yet? I'm about to fall asleep waiting."

"Three threes."

After playing her cards, Chen Siyu mocked her, "You're clearly super energetic, look at your eyes, they're almost bulging out!"

Xiao Feiran strongly agreed, "You check your watch every ten minutes on average; you're clearly extremely curious."

Exposed, Cheng Zhi immediately lay down. "I was just curious, aren't you curious too?"

Xiao Feiran was busy looking at the cards. "I'm curious, but I'll see soon enough, so there's no need for me to be in such a hurry."

Cheng Zhi could only admire such a calm person. Looking at the ceiling, she said, "I'm not that calm anymore, I'm really anxious."

"Alright, alright, you don't need to rush anymore."

No one knew when Zheng Wan appeared; she was leaning against the wall talking.

Upon hearing Zheng Wan's voice, Cheng Zhi quickly got up and asked, "What are you doing? Tell me quickly!"

"Okay, okay, calm down first, you'll know soon." Zheng Wan said as she took the cabinet out.

After opening the cabinet door, Zheng Wan gestured for them to enter.

The three men put down their cards and went inside.

They almost didn't recognize the space when they entered. The space had been decorated by the two of them, with colorful lights hanging in the living room and colorful balloons piled on the floor.

There was a cake on the table, along with some other snacks and treats.

This makes it sound like someone's birthday is coming up. Cheng Zhi thought for a moment, "What's going on? Does anyone have a birthday coming up? Nobody does. Who has a birthday in October?"

She glanced at her roommates' faces; they all seemed to know what they were celebrating. "You all knew?"

Zheng Wan pulled her to sit on the sofa and said with a smile, "After 12 o'clock, it will be October 10th."

Huang Yiyi, who was standing next to her, added, "This can be considered as the first anniversary of our rebirth, or as our five-year birthday."

Cheng Zhi suddenly realized, and she slapped her forehead, "I knew this date looked so familiar when I looked at the calendar!"

Sitting across from me, Xiao Feiran had already opened her drink. "Although our achievements aren't that great, they're still worth celebrating."

Chen Siyu, who was standing next to her, disagreed with her statement. "What do you mean by not too high? Looking at the whole world, many people have logged off this year. It's already amazing that we've managed to last this long."

Regardless, this is a happy thing.

Cheng Zhi looked at the small cakes, starch sausages, meat skewers, and fried chicken collarbones in front of her, and the more she looked, the more familiar they seemed.

She picked up a meat skewer and examined it closely. "Why does this setup look so much like the barbecue stall on the third floor of our cafeteria?"

Chen Siyu patted her chest proudly, "You forgot? We took it when we went to the cafeteria."

Xiao Feiran's focus was on the cake. Although it was quite small, it looked decent. "Wanzi is really amazing. She can still make cakes now."

Zheng Wan was clearly still not satisfied. "If I had enough time and materials, I could easily make a three-story building."

Since everyone had already started chatting, Xiao Zhi wanted to leave quietly.

When it was halfway there, Cheng Zhi spotted it and immediately stopped it, saying, "Xiao Zhi, don't go! Stop working! We have to celebrate this anniversary together!"

Holding a starch sausage, Huang Yiyi said, "That's right, you're also part of our 806. Without your help, we wouldn't be alive now. You have to stay and live with us. Even if you can't eat, you can at least rest."

Since its owner had spoken, Xiao Zhi had no reason to leave. It replied "Okay" and obediently returned.

I don't know where it got the candles from. "Masters, the data shows that humans usually light candles and make wishes when they eat this kind of cake. Would you like to light some?"

Why wouldn't they grant a wish? All five of them nodded in unison, "We absolutely have to grant it, what if it comes true?"

Cheng Zhi, who was sitting next to her, took the candles and lit six of them. "Xiao Zhi, you can make a wish too."

After lighting the candles, the five of them closed their eyes and made a silent wish in their hearts. Xiao Zhi followed their example and stretched out his two mechanical little claws and clasped them together.

After blowing out the candles, they began to eat.

This time they didn't drink alcohol, but only some orange juice and cola, because they wanted to be sober to welcome tomorrow.

We've almost finished eating and drinking.

As they raised their glasses for the last time, Cheng Zhi said, "One last toast to ourselves, and to a bright future!"

The next morning around 8 a.m., Cheng Zhi and the others woke up. Thinking about Xiao Zhi's divination the day before, Cheng Zhi didn't even have time to wash her face. She just brushed her teeth and ran outside.

She walked around the boat, but unfortunately saw nothing. She stopped in place, feeling somewhat disappointed.

Just then, Cheng Zhi heard some noises behind her. She immediately became alert and pulled out a dagger as she retreated.

The person behind her was clearly startled and immediately raised his hands, saying, "Don't get excited, it's me, Qi Yanche."

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Cheng Zhi put down her dagger. "You scared me! You came up without saying a word. I thought someone was going to ambush me."

After calming down, the two stood together by the railing and looked at the vast expanse of sea fog.

Qi Yanche asked first, "I saw it up there just now. What are you looking for?"

Cheng Zhi nodded. "I consulted a fortune teller yesterday, who said I would find land today, so I was very excited when I got up, but after looking around, I didn't see anything."

After telling him about her own situation, Cheng Zhi asked him in return, "What about you? Why did you get up so early?"

Qi Yanche pointed to his room, "The three of us agreed to go to bed early and get up early and exercise every day, but we couldn't stick to it for more than three days. Now I'm the only one left."

Now that they had finished talking about what happened, they fell silent.

Cheng Zhi didn't speak because she was still sleepy, but she wanted to wait a little longer to see if there would be anything new when the fog cleared.

Qi Yanche remained silent because he was thinking about what happened after they got drunk that day.
