When Xiao Feiran first went to the cafeteria for a meal, she almost cried when she saw the communal meal that Cheng Ye had ordered.
"No matter how much time has passed, no matter how much the world has developed, the staple food will never change." After saying that, she took a bite of the potato on her plate. "It's still so awful."
Cheng Ye scooped up a mouthful of rice. "Three dishes. I've already bought you the top-of-the-line option."
Xiao Feiran smiled and patted Cheng Ye's head, "You've gone to so much trouble. I'll finish the whole plate even if it's not very tasty."
The study session ended quickly, and Xiao Feiran had to go home.
Before leaving, Xiao Feiran left Cheng Ye a lot of things, including food, drink, and other necessities.
Cheng Ye laughed as she looked at her. "Sis, I'm going home in two months. You really don't need to make such a fuss."
As Xiao Feiran took them out, she said, "These are all everyone's kind gestures; they'll run out soon enough."
Cheng Ye glanced at the half-bed of items and asked expectantly, "So what did you prepare for me?"
Upon hearing this, Xiao Feiran stood up straight and tapped Cheng Ye on the head. "Hey, you're quite greedy, young man. Without me, we wouldn't even be able to deliver all these things, yet you're asking me for more?"
That meant there was no preparation. A hint of disappointment appeared in Cheng Ye's eyes.
Cheng Ye's mood visibly dropped, and Xiao Feiran didn't want to tease him anymore.
He awkwardly pulled something out of his bag and handed it to him. "Take this. These are my old notes. I've compiled some things you might need. If you don't need them, just use them as scratch paper."
Cheng Ye took it and opened it. Inside were handwritten notes in distinct colors and clear organization. It was hard to imagine that Xiao Feiran had made them.
Cheng Ye was looking at it intently, while Xiao Feiran felt a little embarrassed and wanted to take it back. "Oh dear, it's not well done, why don't you give it back to me?"
Cheng Ye immediately pulled it into her arms, saying, "No, if you give it to me, it's mine."
The way he was acting was as if he were protecting some precious treasure. Xiao Feiran's hand froze in mid-air. "Alright, alright, it's yours."
Even after being escorted to the bus, Cheng Ye still refused to leave.
Xiao Feiran patted him on the shoulder, "Hurry up and go back, it'll get cold if you stay any longer."
"I'll be back during winter break."
"Okay, I got it~"
