Chapter 265 Extra: Xiao and Ye (4)

After the winter vacation started, Cheng Ye returned home, and Zhi Yu also stayed home for the holidays.

I don't know if it's because the Spring Festival is approaching or because of the two of them, but everyone is going home more and more often, and every time they come back, they take the two of them out to play.

Everyone else did the same, but Xiao Feiran was the only one who broke her promise.

Cheng Ye had reprimanded her many times at home, but unexpectedly, her parents spoke up for her instead.

"Feiran is in finance, and finance people get busier as the year draws to a close. It's one thing if you can't help, but can't you at least be a little more sensible!" Cheng's mother said, glaring at Cheng Ye.

Cheng Ye was still angry when this was mentioned. He spread his hands and said, "Is this my fault? She has a cafeteria for meals and dormitories for accommodation. I don't see her every day. How can I help her?"

The mother and son were arguing when Cheng's father suddenly called for help.

Cheng Ye ran downstairs, and his father placed a thermos in front of him.

Cheng Ye thought it was for her, and chuckled foolishly before reaching out to unscrew it. "What good stuff did you prepare for me... Ouch, Dad, why did you hit me?!"

Cheng's father slapped Cheng Ye's hand aside, tapped the lid, and said, "This is black bean, astragalus, and black chicken soup that I made for Fei Ran. Take it to her later."

Cheng Ye covered the back of her hand and glanced at the clock on the wall. "It's only two o'clock. She just started work. By the time I deliver it, it will be completely cold."

Following behind, Cheng's mother placed the key on the table. "Of course, you're not just delivering soup. This is Fei Ran's dorm key. Go over there and help her clean up. Oh, and bring a clean four-piece bedding set with you. She's been sleeping on it for about a month, so change it for her."

Cheng Ye: "..."

Seeing that his simple-minded son was not moving, Cheng's father punched him again, "What's wrong with a man doing some work? Sweeping the floor won't kill you."

Cheng Ye picked up the keys on the table and nodded. "I didn't say I wouldn't do it. Uncle and Aunt, please don't scold me. I'll go right now."

Upon first hearing this nickname, Cheng's mother almost didn't react. She laughed and patted Cheng Ye on the back, "You're such a chatterbox, hahaha..."

After arriving at the destination, Cheng Ye found Xiao Feiran's dormitory with the guidance of her mother.

After putting the soup in the pot, Cheng Ye began to tidy up the one-bedroom apartment.

Throw away what needs to be thrown away and put what needs to be put back in its place on the coffee table and TV cabinet, and then wash and wipe everything.

In one afternoon, Cheng Ye cleaned the kitchen and toilet, except for Xiao Feiran's bedroom.

He said he didn't want to do it, but in fact he took off all the sofa covers and washed them, and took the cushions out to air them.

Xiao Feiran was shocked when she returned. She stood in the entrance hall and looked at the house number several times, wondering if she had gone to the wrong place.

Just then, Cheng Ye, wearing an apron, came out carrying a bowl.

He said casually, "What are you standing there for? Come in."

Xiao Feiran breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Cheng Ye. "You scared me to death! I thought a fairy godmother had wandered into my house."

Cheng Ye shook his head. "Read less mythology stories, come and eat."

After putting down her things, Xiao Feiran sat down at the table and looked at the stewed pork ribs with potatoes, hand-torn cabbage, and black chicken soup on the table, and sighed even more.

"You cleaned the house, cooked, and even made soup?" Xiao Feiran rubbed his face wearily. "I'm really living a life worse off than my parents and children."

Cheng Ye brought over the food and said, "I didn't do everything. I didn't clean your room, and Dad made the soup."

After the two finished their meal around the small table, Xiao Feiran insisted on washing the dishes.

Cheng Ye blocked her out of the kitchen with one hand, saying, "You must be tired after a long day. Sit down for a while to digest your food and take a shower."

Xiao Feiran leaned against the door frame, looked at Cheng Ye for a while, and said, "My sister-in-law is so lucky in the future."

Cheng Ye, holding the plate, trembled upon hearing this and almost dropped it.

Not knowing how to respond, he simply elbowed Xiao Feiran out of the kitchen, saying, "You can take this opportunity to change the sheets now; Mom specifically asked me to."

After saying this, Cheng Ye closed the kitchen door.

Standing outside the door, Xiao Feiran looked completely bewildered. Why did this guy seem so strange after coming back from his vacation?

Despite having a lot of questions, she still went to change the sheets.

As Xiao Feiran changed the clothes, she tried to remember what the problem was, but she couldn't recall at all.

Unable to come up with an answer herself, Xiao Feiran dragged Cheng Zhi into it and sent her a message.

A moment later, Cheng Zhi replied with a voice message, "Are you in love? Or is it unrequited love? It's not surprising that people become a little strange."

Xiao Feiran put down her phone, still feeling something was off.

She always felt that Cheng Ye's eyes had something to say, but why didn't he just say it directly? She was sure she could comfort him.

After washing the dishes and tidying up the kitchen and table, Cheng Ye knocked on the open door. "Are you ready? If you are, I'll take you back."

Upon hearing that Cheng Ye was leaving, Xiao Feiran became anxious and wanted to get out of bed to keep him there for a while. However, she tripped over the bed sheet that had been changed and fell off the bed.

No matter how fast Cheng Ye ran, he couldn't catch her. When he helped her up, Xiao Feiran's elbow was already scraped and bleeding.

Having just tidied the living room, Cheng Ye immediately went out to get the medicine.

From the moment I bumped my head to when I bandaged it with gauze, it took less than three minutes.

Xiao Feiran stared at the gauze, still in shock, and asked, "You secretly went to study medicine?"

Sitting next to her, Cheng Ye glanced at the wound and said, "Does it really take that long to treat this little injury? As for you, there's a whole bunch of stuff on the bed, what's the rush?"
