Chen Siyu got off work and just walked out of the building when she saw Shen Lingfeng standing under the streetlight.
Chen Siyu looked around, then walked up to him and asked, "Are you here to pick me up?"
Seeing her suspicious expression, Shen Lingfeng wanted to laugh, "If you're not here to pick up you, are you here to pick up your boss?"
Chen Siyu pursed her lips, "That's hard to say, maybe you'll suddenly change."
After making a couple of jokes, Chen Siyu casually opened the passenger door and was about to sit down when she saw the flowers on the seat.
It was a bouquet of blue and white flowers. Chen Siyu only recognized the white roses; she had never seen the fuzzy blue ones before, but they looked very special.
"Wow, what kind of flower is this? It's so unique and cool!" Chen Siyu bent down to look at it and asked.
Shen Lingfeng stood to the side, recalling what the florist had just said, "It seems to be called... Cilantro."
"A gift for me?" Chen Siyu straightened up and asked Shen Lingfeng.
Shen Lingfeng blinked, leaned back in the car, and asked, "If I said yes, would you run away?"
Shen Lingfeng spoke lightly, but he was actually quite uneasy inside.
Unexpectedly, Chen Siyu burst out laughing and punched Chen Lingfeng's arm. "How could that be? Thank you! Mother's Day is coming soon, and you still remember to give me a gift!"
Shen Lingfeng: "..."
Who would have thought it was Mother's Day? Shen Lingfeng mentally pounded himself a hundred times, realizing he hadn't even checked the calendar before choosing the date.
Although Chen Siyu misunderstood, fortunately, with this excuse, she was willing to go out with him.
As they drove towards the restaurant, while waiting at a traffic light, Chen Siyu suddenly remembered her son.
"Where's Xiaoshanzhu? Why didn't you bring him along?" Chen Siyu asked.
How could Shen Lingfeng possibly bring his son on their date? He had already arranged with Xiaoshanzhu and Qi Yanche to have Qi Yanche, who was on vacation, take Xiaoshanzhu to the park to fly kites.
Since he couldn't tell Chen Siyu directly, Shen Lingfeng said, "Qi Yanche bought him a kite during his vacation. The two of them put down their bags and went out, and we couldn't call them back at all."
Upon hearing that someone would take care of the child, Chen Siyu stopped worrying and even started clapping, exclaiming, "Great! We don't need to bring Xiaoshanzhu anymore, so we can order all the dishes extra spicy!"
Shen Lingfeng doesn't eat spicy food very well, but it doesn't matter. As long as Chen Siyu is happy today, his goal is achieved.
They ate Hunan cuisine, got manicures, and watched a late-night horror movie, finishing their entire trip after 1 a.m.
On the way back, Chen Siyu looked at her nails and suddenly felt a little sad. "We've played for so long, our son must be asleep by now."
While driving, Shen Lingfeng handed his phone to Chen Siyu. "Qi Yanche just texted me. The two of them had a great time and even ate pizza. They're sleeping in Qi Yanche's room now."
When Chen Siyu clicked on the photo, she saw a picture of Qi Yanche and his wife sleeping around a small bamboo plant.
She couldn't help but smile, "We're really good parents. We ran off to have fun and left the kids in the care of others."
"But it was really awesome!"
The second half of the sentence was spoken with great vigor, and Shen Lingfeng laughed, "If you like, we can go out to play every week. Anyway, they all like Xiaoshanzhu. Each family can take turns taking care of her for a day, which can last for a month."
Chen Siyu burst out laughing, "Hahahaha, I was just thinking about it, how come you actually made it onto the schedule?"
They arrived home just in time. Shen Lingfeng parked the car, turned to Chen Siyu, and said, "I'm serious. As long as you're happy, we're willing to hire a housekeeper."
Chen Siyu could feel the seriousness in Shen Lingfeng's words.
Chen Siyu was very touched by the flowers and company she received today. She reached out and patted Chen Lingfeng's shoulder, "Oh, no need, this is fine too, I'm not tired."
Shen Lingfeng felt the warmth on his shoulder and wanted to say something, but he was afraid of scaring Chen Siyu away, so he just nodded.
After finishing her sentence, Chen Siyu got out of the car.
Shen Lingfeng saw the flowers forgotten on the back seat, immediately picked them up and chased after them, "Flowers, you forgot?"
Chen Siyu stopped at the gate. "Oh right."
Shen Lingfeng handed her the flower, and Chen Siyu looked at it a couple more times. "I've forgotten again, what kind of flower is this again?"
