They were indeed talking at the door, and Chen Siyu apologized.
The man wasn't too difficult to deal with, and he was about to go in when he saw something and stopped in his tracks, his eyes darting between Chen Siyu and the little girl.
Seeing that look made Chen Siyu feel very uncomfortable.
Mr. Chen handed his younger sister to Mrs. Chen so they could go inside first, and then stood in front of his daughter, saying, "Sir, it's late. You're not dressed warmly enough. Go back to sleep now, or you'll catch a cold!"
The man realized his gaze had been too blatant. He didn't say anything, just chuckled twice, and went inside.
Chen's father felt that this thing had ill intentions, so he wanted to send Chen Siyu home first.
Chen Siyu shook her head, "Mom and my little sister are still here. You take care of them first. I'm fine."
Unable to persuade Chen Siyu, Chen's father had no choice but to return to his room.
Chen Siyu also quickly walked downstairs, wanting to get back to her room as soon as possible to avoid any more trouble.
Chen Ma carried Zhiyu back to the room, quickly put her down, and took off her mask so she could go to sleep.
Unexpectedly, Zhiyu's eyes widened, and she clung tightly to Chen Ma, as if she had seen something terrifying.
The child looked unwell immediately, so Chen's mother quickly hugged Zhiyu tightly. "What's wrong, Zhiyu? Did you have a nightmare?"
Zhiyu gasped for breath, shook her head, and said with great difficulty, "That uncle, I...I've seen him before."
It's not surprising that I've seen it before.
Mr. Chen came over and sat down, patted Zhiyu to catch her breath, and then asked, "Have you seen him? When did you see him?"
Mentioning this, Zhiyu seemed even more frightened. She buried herself in her mother's arms, sobbed for a while, and said, "During the earthquake."
Chen's mother and father understood immediately.
Chen's mother patted Zhiyu on the back, "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid. Your father and mother are here now, no one can hurt you."
Although they were eager to know what the man had done to frighten Zhiyu so much, they refrained from asking further given Zhiyu's unstable emotional state.
So they simply stayed with her quietly, comforting her and trying to help Zhiyu escape from her fear.
