Chapter 191 Shopping

Yu Jingchen pulled the person closer to him, somewhat helplessly asking, "Shall we go take a look ahead?"

"Okay, let's go to Jin Yu Xuan." Nan Zhiyun snuggled up to Yu Jingchen. Looking at Nan Zhiyun like this, Yu Jingchen felt as if his heart was filled with something, and the corners of his lips curled up slightly.

Then he led the people forward to Jin Yu Xuan, the most famous jewelry store in Kyoto. Many noble ladies like to come here to buy jewelry. Before Nan Zhiyun got married, she loved to come here to buy jewelry and was a regular customer.

Yu Jingchen led her over, but as soon as they reached the door, Nan Zhiyun broke free from Yu Jingchen's grasp and went inside as soon as she saw the words "Jin Yu Xuan".

Yu Jingchen initially wanted to stop her, but after thinking about it, he let her go. Jin Yuxuan had been here for many years, and Nan Zhiyun had been there often, so the people at Jin Yuxuan all knew her.

However... they all knew Nan Zhiyun's identity and that she was now Consort Shu, so when they saw her, they almost thought they were seeing things.

How did she get out of the palace? And isn't it said that His Majesty doesn't like Nan Zhiyun? Could she have sneaked out of the palace?

Despite thinking this way, the shopkeeper still stepped forward.

"Miss Shu... Nan." The shopkeeper's tone was still respectful.

"I want to buy something..." Nan Zhiyun said, bewildered.

The shopkeeper was about to ask her what she needed when she looked up and saw Yu Jingchen walk in. The shopkeeper's eyes flickered, and she subconsciously reached out to bow, but Yu Jingchen stopped her with a look, and the shopkeeper bowed even lower.

Yu Jingchen walked up behind Nan Zhiyun: "What do you want to buy? Let's choose first?" Yu Jingchen put his arm around Nan Zhiyun, and Nan Zhiyun looked at Yu Jingchen: "Your Majesty..." Before she could finish speaking, Yu Jingchen interrupted: "It is my husband."

"Yes, my husband." Nan Zhiyun was still dizzy and somewhat disoriented. It has to be said that the aftereffects of that wine were really strong. Yu Jingchen didn't even tell her beforehand and deliberately lured her to drink. I don't know what he was up to.

Hearing Nan Zhiyun call him "husband," Yu Jingchen raised the corners of his lips, and a slight smile appeared between his eyebrows and eyes.

“She usually likes those kinds of things, you should know that. Just go with those and let her choose for herself,” Yu Jingchen said to the shopkeeper.

"Yes..." The shopkeeper concealed his shock and immediately ordered them to retrieve the items.

"Young master, why don't you go upstairs to the second floor to choose? All the items are kept there," the shopkeeper said respectfully.

Yu Jingchen didn't say much, but simply took Nan Zhiyun's hand and let her climb upstairs by clinging to him.

The display was filled with a dazzling array of ornaments. Nan Zhiyun, after looking at them, immediately abandoned Yu Jingchen and headed towards the other display. There weren't many people there, so Yu Jingchen let her be.

“This looks nice,” Nan Zhiyun said, picking up a bracelet from the side.

"This one looks good too," Nan Zhiyun said, looking at all the beautiful things in front of her.

Yu Jingchen remained silent, simply standing to the side watching Nan Zhiyun choose. Whether it was the increasing effect of the alcohol or something else, Nan Zhiyun was now truly confused, and in the end, she simply gathered everything in front of her into her arms.

"I don't want to choose, I want them all." Nan Zhiyun leaned over the display stand. The shopkeeper, unsure what to do, cautiously looked at Yu Jingchen.

To his surprise, Yu Jingchen wasn't angry at all; instead, he smiled. Yes, that's right, he smiled. Was this the cold-hearted emperor? Was this the emperor who was rumored to dislike the Nan family's daughter?

"Wrap them all up for her," Yu Jingchen said, then walked up behind Nan Zhiyun.

"Come on, get up first. I'll have someone wrap these things up for you after you get up, okay?" Yu Jingchen pulled the person up.

Nan Zhiyun leaned against Yu Jingchen's chest: "Your Majesty..."

“It is my husband,” Yu Jingchen corrected.

"Husband, I feel dizzy," Nan Zhiyun said, sounding somewhat aggrieved.

"How about we go back and rest for a while?" Yu Jingchen coaxed her.

"No, you have to play a little longer. You can't come out anymore, and you can't go back to rest." Nan Zhiyun said seriously, and even pushed Yu Jingchen away, about to leave.

Yu Jingchen couldn't do anything about her, so he simply let her play by herself. However, what was unexpected was that Nan Zhiyun wasn't paying attention and bumped into someone. Yu Jingchen also didn't expect someone to suddenly come over.

"What's wrong with you? Can't you watch where you're going?" The person opposite was a woman, who looked like a young lady from a wealthy family. The one who spoke just now was her maid.

Yu Jingchen was about to step forward when he saw this, but... he noticed that Nan Zhiyun was looking at those people with "unfriendly eyes," and his heart wavered slightly. In the end, he decided to take another look.

So Yu Jingchen simply crossed his arms and leaned against the side without making any other moves.

"You're the one who hit me," Nan Zhiyun said, her tone lacking any real threat.

The woman opposite was dressed in a blue dress, which had a distinct Jiangnan feel to it. She had an elegant demeanor, but she frowned when she saw Nan Zhiyun's appearance.

"Whose daughter are you? How can a young lady be so drunk? It's so disrespectful!" said the maid beside the woman.

"You can't talk to me like that. You have to apologize to me." Nan Zhiyun said in a slightly fierce tone.

"You're the one who bumped into me. Do you know who our young lady is?" The little maid was quite arrogant.

"I don't know. Who are you and what does it have to do with me? Is your young lady His Majesty?" Nan Zhiyun was confused. Yu Jingchen, who was behind her, watched with great interest. Even though he heard Nan Zhiyun say this, he did not stop her. Instead, he acted as if he was watching a show.

"How dare you! Do you know what you're saying? If you want to die, don't bring trouble to others." The maid didn't expect Nan Zhiyun to say such a thing.

“You’re not dead, you’re not dead… then apologize…” Nan Zhiyun confronted him directly.

"Get out of the way! Who do you think you are? How dare you approach our young lady?" The maid pushed Nan Zhiyun aside. There was a railing behind them, and the maid was quite strong. Nan Zhiyun lost her balance and fell backward.

Yu Jingchen's pupils contracted as he watched, and the next moment he leaped forward, even using his lightness skill.

Fortunately, the person was protected. Nan Zhiyun was held in Yu Jingchen's arms. Then, he glanced at the two people opposite them. The maid had just been frightened, fearing that someone might actually die. Now, she was so frightened by Yu Jingchen's look that she almost knelt down.

The woman in green beside her was also somewhat at a loss for words at this scene. In the end, she still mustered up the courage to step forward and gave a slight bow: "Please forgive me, sir. My maid didn't mean it. May I apologize to you and this young lady on her behalf?" The woman immediately composed herself, bowed gracefully, and spoke in a gentle and charming voice, befitting a lady of a prominent family.

"My husband..."
