Chapter 254 Your Majesty Accepts Punishment

Yu Jingchen kissed Nan Zhiyun on the forehead.

"Yun'er, be good. I don't really want to punish you, but you really can't do this, okay?" Yu Jingchen was reasoning with her.

"Your Majesty, I truly know I was wrong." Nan Zhiyun's voice inexplicably became choked with sobs, which startled Yu Jingchen.

"What's wrong?" Yu Jingchen quickly went to check.

"Hmm? What's wrong with the sound? Why are you crying?" Yu Jingchen looked at the person in his arms. There were no tears, but there were still tears glistening in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, I scared you. Be good, don't cry, I won't hold it against you, okay?" Yu Jingchen really didn't like Nan Zhiyun crying, or rather, he was afraid of Nan Zhiyun's tears.

"No, I didn't cry." Nan Zhiyun pouted, but she still wouldn't admit it.

Yu Jingchen was both amused and exasperated by Nan Zhiyun's appearance. Seeing her like this, he roughly knew that she was probably not really scared.

"Okay, you didn't cry. Then why are your eyes so teary? And why are you crying? Is your foot starting to hurt again?" Yu Jingchen wiped Nan Zhiyun's tears.

"I was wrong." Nan Zhiyun said, feeling wronged, without answering. Just that one sentence was enough, just like a child.

"If you made a mistake, correct it. Don't do it again next time, okay?" Yu Jingchen hugged him tenderly.

“Hmm…” Nan Zhiyun nodded.

"She's become quite spoiled; you can't scold her, you can't hit her, you can't punish her," Yu Jingchen said helplessly.

"Your Majesty, I accept the punishment." Nan Zhiyun snuggled against Yu Jingchen's chest.

Yu Jingchen's heart has truly softened after Nan Zhiyun's actions.

He looked intently at the little girl, so delicate and soft, and the next moment he kissed Nan Zhiyun's tender little lips. Nan Zhiyun's pupils dilated slightly, but she didn't resist.

Yu Jingchen didn't go too far, because he was afraid of overdoing it and losing his sense of proportion.

“This is the punishment, okay?” Yu Jingchen said.

“So now we’ve been punished.” Yu Jingchen helped Nan Zhiyun tidy her hair.

...Well, didn't we just say we were going to teach someone a lesson, the kind that they'll remember and learn from?

"Don't refer to yourself as 'Your Majesty,' and don't call me 'Your Majesty.' I told you before that you should address me that way, hmm?" Yu Jingchen lay down next to Nan Zhiyun, gently embracing her as he asked.

"Yun'er has been called the wrong name so many times already." Yu Jingchen's meaning was clear, but Nan Zhiyun was too embarrassed to say it.

Nan Zhiyun's tears had all stopped. She quietly pulled the blanket up to cover herself, and Yu Jingchen watched as she slowly covered half of her face.

Yu Jingchen was amused, and then... "Yun'er, call me husband..." He leaned close to Nan Zhiyun's ear, his warm breath tickling her.

“…Husband,” Nan Zhiyun said slightly, but Yu Jingchen felt a surge of heat from that single word.

"Yun'er... I've really been holding back for a long time." Yu Jingchen's voice grew hoarse.

Nan Zhiyun's face flushed red instantly, not because of what Yu Jingchen said, but because... she felt it, after all, they were too close.

"Your Majesty!" Nan Zhiyun was somewhat flustered.

“I know Yun’er is scared, but… Yun’er, can we take it slow?” Yu Jingchen asked.

Nan Zhiyun did not answer. Not hearing Nan Zhiyun's refusal, Yu Jingchen slowly leaned down, but he was also observing Nan Zhiyun's expression, afraid that Nan Zhiyun would not be able to overcome it.

Yu Jingchen kissed Nan Zhiyun's lips, and Nan Zhiyun gradually tightened her grip on the quilt; she was nervous.

"Don't be afraid, okay? Yun'er, trust me this once, okay? We can take it slowly..." Yu Jingchen comforted, trying to ease Nan Zhiyun's fear.

Nan Zhiyun, a young lady from a sheltered family, had no idea what those things truly felt like. They were merely shadows she had acquired later in life. Because of Yu Jingchen's repeated brutality, Nan Zhiyun always felt that such things were excruciatingly painful, humiliating, and shameful.

She simply couldn't understand why people in the world would do such a thing. The experience was truly worse than death...

"Don't be afraid, be good, okay?" Yu Jingchen sensed Nan Zhiyun's fear and unease; Nan Zhiyun's body had already stiffened.

Nan Zhiyun suppressed her discomfort. She... actually had no right to refuse, after all, she was just a concubine. Moreover, given their relationship, without these things... she didn't know what she would do.

Yu Jingchen gently pulled back the blanket covering Nan Zhiyun. Nan Zhiyun's body trembled slightly; she was shaking.

"Don't be afraid, everything will be alright, okay? Yun'er, let's try, okay?" Yu Jingchen wasn't insisting on doing this himself, but he genuinely didn't want Nan Zhiyun to continue like this; such a shadow could be removed...

"Mmm..." Nan Zhiyun responded softly.

Yu Jingchen smiled gently, then kissed her again, without taking any further steps. No rush, take it slow. Nan Zhiyun was very nervous and fearful at first, but with Yu Jingchen's kiss, she was gradually guided to relax.

As his body temperature slowly rose, Yu Jingchen felt the restlessness within him. He reacted normally, after all; he was a normal person.

Yu Jingchen placed one hand near Nan Zhiyun's ear, while the other hand slowly moved to her lips, neck, and then to her throat, before finally touching her collarbone, causing Nan Zhiyun's body to stiffen.
