Nan Zhiyun was throwing a tantrum and wanted to stand up by herself. But she didn't realize that with her meager strength, how could she possibly escape Yu Jingchen's clutches?
“I already told Yun’er not to move around. Is Yun’er trying to do something? And why does she want to be on top? Nan Nan doesn’t seem like the type to be so proactive,” Yu Jingchen continued.
"Your Majesty!" Nan Zhiyun was truly provoked.
Yu Jingchen knew he had to be moderate. He found it somewhat amusing to see Nan Zhiyun blushing from his teasing. He picked her up and they stood up together, and Nan Zhiyun breathed a sigh of relief.
"You're not hurt, are you?" Yu Jingchen asked with concern, "Did you twist your ankle?"
No, when he fell, Yu Jingchen caught him in his arms, so he wasn't injured.
“You’d better learn your lesson. What if I’m not here? The swing is here, but don’t overdo it. Pushing it so high, what if you fall? You’ll be the one who gets hurt in the end. If you ever get hurt playing on this swing, you can forget about ever touching a swing again. I’ll take this one down too.” Yu Jingchen was like an old father lecturing his daughter.
Nan Zhiyun was speechless after hearing his words, because she was in the wrong. But... if Yu Jingchen hadn't suddenly spoken up behind her today, she wouldn't have been frightened, and she wouldn't have fallen.
Yu Jingchen knew Nan Zhiyun was daydreaming again the moment he saw her like this. So he raised his hand and flicked her forehead.
"Ah!" Nan Zhiyun touched her forehead; it hurt a little.
"Distracted again? Did you hear what I just said?" Yu Jingchen is really becoming more and more like an old father; even his own father doesn't nag this much. Of course, he could only complain to himself; if Yu Jingchen actually heard him, he'd be in big trouble.
"I heard you, I'll be more careful in the future. Today was just an accident," Nan Zhiyun replied sincerely.
Yu Jingchen was finally satisfied with the answer, but whether he believed it or not was another matter.
"I'll have someone plant some grass here tomorrow, or lay down a rug, just in case someone accidentally slips and falls." Yu Jingchen felt increasingly unsafe as he thought about it.
He didn't know what was wrong with him lately; he felt conflicted. He had initially installed the device hoping it would make Nan Zhiyun happier, but now that it was actually done, he was starting to worry about her safety.
It's like when he got a kitten for Nan Zhiyun. He thought it was this kind of kitten—soft and cuddly—that would please her and keep her entertained when she was bored. Plus, he thought Nan Zhiyun was somewhat like a kitten, so he had one picked out and sent over. But when he saw how much Nan Zhiyun liked that cat, he felt uncomfortable.
"It's not that exaggerated, is it?" Nan Zhiyun felt that Yu Jingchen seemed to be making a mountain out of a molehill.
"Is it really that exaggerated? Didn't I tell you? No matter what, your safety should always be the top priority. So you need to protect yourself and not do anything dangerous. If I ever find out that you've done anything harmful to your health, I won't let you off easily," Yu Jingchen said with a strong "warning."
Nan Zhiyun is no longer so afraid of Yu Jingchen, and she no longer fears his words of "never letting him off lightly".
