Chapter 388 One More Time?

Seeing this, Yu Jingchen didn't insist on touching it. Why is he still so thin-skinned?

"Okay, if you don't want me to watch, then I won't." Yu Jingchen didn't insist. Nan Zhiyun's face was still flushed and she hadn't recovered.

"The spring hunt is still a little over two weeks away, so you can start preparing early. Just tell me what you need, and I'll have someone prepare everything for you," Yu Jingchen changed the subject.

"Okay," Nan Zhiyun agreed, but what do we need to prepare for the spring hunt?

"Forget it, you don't need to worry about these things. I'll have someone prepare everything for you." Yu Jingchen felt that letting Nan Zhiyun prepare everything herself might cause many problems.

"Okay," Nan Zhiyun readily agreed. She had no objections; it was good that she didn't have to do it herself. But then, as if suddenly remembering something, Nan Zhiyun called out, "Your Majesty..."

"Hmm? What do you want to say?" Yu Jingchen sat down next to Nan Zhiyun and pulled her into his arms.

“I heard that Consort Bai…did not go to pay her respects today, and they said that Consort Bai couldn’t stand up after serving the emperor yesterday…” Nan Zhiyun hesitated several times before speaking.

Upon hearing this, Yu Jingchen raised an eyebrow: "What is Yun'er trying to say? Don't you know where I was yesterday? Besides... didn't Yun'er personally verify my identity last night?" The last sentence was whispered by Yu Jingchen into Nan Zhiyun's ear.

"Has Yun'er gone astray lately? Has she been reading or learning things she shouldn't know behind my back?" Yu Jingchen teased her deliberately.

"I didn't, Your Majesty, please don't talk nonsense..." Nan Zhiyun blushed at Yu Jingchen's words.

Yu Jingchen laughed out loud: "Still so easily teased. Nothing happened between her and me last night, Yun'er, don't worry about it." Yu Jingchen didn't mention what happened yesterday, because she was afraid Nan Zhiyun would think she was too cruel, especially since those things were quite sensitive.

Nan Zhiyun pouted, but didn't insist on getting to the bottom of it. However…

"Who will Your Majesty summon today?" Nan Zhiyun seemed only curious, but the emotions in her eyes were impossible to hide.

Yu Jingchen found Nan Zhiyun's behavior quite amusing, so he decided to tease her.

"Yun'er, do you perhaps want to personally verify every time I summon someone else?" he said, gently nibbling on Nan Zhiyun's ear. Nan Zhiyun trembled, instinctively trying to pull away, but because she was completely encircled in Yu Jingchen's arms, she couldn't escape.

"It itches~" Nan Zhiyun said softly.

"But I remember you said it hurt yesterday?" Yu Jingchen hugged Nan Zhiyun tightly.

"You said you didn't want it anymore." Yu Jingchen pressed his forehead against Nan Zhiyun's forehead.

"Your Majesty~" Nan Zhiyun didn't want to hear it anymore.

“Being coquettish won’t work. Yun’er did cry out in pain yesterday. You told me you didn’t want it anymore… but what can we do? Unless… we do it again, and this time Yun’er will endure it without saying anything.” Yu Jingchen reached out and rubbed Nan Zhiyun’s lips.

Nan Zhiyun was startled by Yu Jingchen's words. Again? But it's daytime now, and...

"I'm still in pain..." Nan Zhiyun said pitifully.

"Heh, how can Nan Nan be so cute?" Yu Jingchen pulled away from Nan Zhiyun and gently patted her forehead.
