Chapter 394 Riding a Horse

Nan Zhiyun was a little unsure. She looked at the horse in front of her. To be honest, she really wanted to give it a try, but...

"Mm," Nan Zhiyun nodded.

Yu Jingchen chuckled and picked up Nan Zhiyun, saying, "Be careful."

Nan Zhiyun carefully mounted the horse. It was so high! The feeling was strange. She looked at the horse she was riding with some nervousness.

"I'll guide you through this slowly. Don't be afraid, I won't let you fall." Yu Jingchen said gently, leading the horse around the riding arena.

Nan Zhiyun was a little scared at first, but after walking for a while, she found that the horse seemed to be quite docile, so her nervousness gradually dissipated.

"Your Majesty, may I ask the grapes to walk a little faster?" Nan Zhiyun's interest gradually grew.

"Don't rush, you might fall if you walk too fast." Yu Jingchen was worried and only felt at ease when he had the horse's reins in his own hands.

"Okay," Nan Zhiyun said obediently. She was feeling good now. So this is what it feels like to ride a horse.

Yu Jingchen led the horse for about half an hour before stopping, waiting for Nan Zhiyun to fully adjust.

"Your Majesty, please rest for a while. I can do it myself." Nan Zhiyun was quite bold.

"Really?" Yu Jingchen raised an eyebrow. Seeing Nan Zhiyun nod at him, he had a mischievous thought. He then loosened the reins and handed the rope to Nan Zhiyun.

Nan Zhiyun took the rope and gripped it tightly. Yu Jingchen looked at her without saying anything. Grape seemed to sense something as well, as it kept turning its head. Nan Zhiyun was extremely uneasy, her heart hanging in mid-air.

Yu Jingchen found it somewhat amusing. When did this girl become so "competitive"? Seeing Yu Jingchen laughing at her, Nan Zhiyun pouted, feeling looked down upon...

"Are you sure Yun'er can do it?" Yu Jingchen deliberately provoked her. For some reason, Nan Zhiyun was more vibrant than ever before.

"I can..." Nan Zhiyun lacked confidence, and the next second she pulled on the reins. Grape lifted its front paws, and Nan Zhiyun was startled. She panicked and almost fell off.

Yu Jingchen's eyes flickered slightly, and he lightly leaped onto his horse, then pulled Nan Zhiyun into his arms. Nan Zhiyun had just been quite frightened, but now, nestled in Yu Jingchen's embrace, her heart felt as if it had finally found its place.

"What's the point of showing off in front of me?" Yu Jingchen said, feeling both helpless and amused.

"I didn't..." Nan Zhiyun still wouldn't admit it.

"So you're not afraid anymore?" Yu Jingchen seemed to be holding back his good and bad intentions.

"I'm not afraid. With His Majesty here, I'm not afraid." Nan Zhiyun was just being stubborn, pretending to be calm even though she was clearly scared. Since that was the case... Yu Jingchen had a wicked idea and then spurred his horse to gallop away.

Nan Zhiyun hadn't expected Yu Jingchen to do this, but being on horseback, she couldn't escape. She could only restrain herself from making a sound, but... Yu Jingchen was deliberately being mischievous; the howling wind coming towards her made her want to scream uncontrollably—it was terrifying...

"If you're scared, don't hold it in, okay?" Yu Jingchen whispered in Nan Zhiyun's ear.

"Your Majesty..." Nan Zhiyun could barely hold on any longer.

"Are you scared?" Yu Jingchen asked.

"Mmm..." Nan Zhiyun couldn't help but snuggle closer to Yu Jingchen.

Yu Jingchen found this amusing, but he still slowed down, while Nan Zhiyun's heart was beating very fast.
