Chapter 432 Concealment

Yu Jingchen carried Nan Zhiyun back to the palace and summoned the imperial physician who had accompanied him. Nan Zhiyun was filthy, her face covered in mud, and she had just been crying, so her face was covered in grime.

Yu Jingchen hadn't seen her earlier because it was too dark, but now, seeing Nan Zhiyun like this, he felt a fire burning inside him. However, now was not the time to "demand an explanation," and he would settle accounts with this girl later!

"Are you hurt anywhere?" Yu Jingchen asked her, looking her over, but Nan Zhiyun just shook her head.

"Aren't you injured? Is there anything wrong with your body?" Yu Jingchen asked, still concerned.

"I just fell, and my body hurts." Nan Zhiyun concealed the fact that she had been bitten by a snake. She had already caused a lot of trouble today, and she didn't want Yu Jingchen to worry anymore.

"Let me see where you fell?" Yu Jingchen said, and went to help Nan Zhiyun take off her clothes.

However, Nan Zhiyun was unwilling and even hid behind. Yu Jingchen frowned and looked at Nan Zhiyun's hand.

"Stretch out your hand." Yu Jingchen's tone became more serious.

Nan Zhiyun bit her lip: "I'm fine, Your Majesty, you don't need to worry." Yu Jingchen's expression turned cold, and he pulled Nan Zhiyun over despite her wishes.

"Your Majesty!" Nan Zhiyun resisted somewhat, but Yu Jingchen ignored her reluctance and pulled Nan Zhiyun's hand out from behind. Apart from being a little dirty, there seemed to be no other problem.

However, just as Yu Jingchen breathed a sigh of relief, he noticed an injury on Nan Zhiyun's wrist. He rolled up Nan Zhiyun's sleeve and then saw that it was a snake bite.

"Nan Zhiyun!" Yu Jingchen's tone was rather harsh this time, startling Nan Zhiyun and the imperial physician who had just entered.

"Your Majesty..." Nan Zhiyun tried to pull her hand back, but Yu Jingchen held it tightly, and she couldn't break free.

"Nan Zhiyun, you're something else! You had to keep this from me? Why didn't you say you were injured? What would you do if something else happened?" Yu Jingchen finally couldn't hold back his anger.

"I'm fine...this shouldn't be poisonous." Nan Zhiyun felt guilty.

"Yes, you're really capable!" Yu Jingchen released her hand.

"Take a look at Consort Shu." Yu Jingchen turned his back, and the imperial physician did not dare to hesitate for a moment and quickly stepped forward to take Nan Zhiyun's pulse.

A layer of frost settled on Yu Jingchen's face. Nan Zhiyun, sitting beside him, cautiously looked up to observe Yu Jingchen. Seeing that he was angry, Nan Zhiyun felt uneasy.

The imperial physician was extremely nervous while taking her pulse. If something were to happen to Consort Shu, he would be the one to suffer in the end. However, after taking her pulse, the physician breathed a sigh of relief; thankfully, there was nothing seriously wrong.

"Your Majesty, rest assured, Her Majesty was just a little frightened and caught a chill, but there's nothing else wrong," the imperial physician replied. Fortunately, there was nothing seriously wrong.

"She was just bitten by a snake, is she alright?" Yu Jingchen asked again. Although he looked very angry, he couldn't hide the worry in his eyes.

"Your Majesty, rest assured, the snake is not poisonous, and Consort Shu is fine. I will prescribe a calming medicine for her in a moment, and have the palace servants make her two bowls of ginger soup to keep her warm," the imperial physician said.

"Alright, you may leave." Hearing this reply, Yu Jingchen was relieved.
