Chapter 608 Female Rebirth Chapter: Letting Nan Zhiyun Leave

Nan Zhiyun took two steps in this direction, then curtsied.

"Your Majesty, I pay my respects," Nan Zhiyun said, bowing in accordance with custom.

"Get up," Yu Jingchen said casually, glancing at Nan Zhiyun. Nan Zhiyun stood politely to the side without saying a word.

Yu Jingchen walked over, and as he approached, Nan Zhiyun subconsciously took a step back. Yu Jingchen noticed this and paused slightly.

"What's wrong? Is it that scary?" Yu Jingchen's tone was dangerous. Nan Zhiyun remained silent, but simply moved to the side.

Yu Jingchen's face quickly darkened. However, he didn't say anything and sat down in the seat next to him.

Nan Zhiyun couldn't understand why he had come, and felt a little uneasy. There was nothing she could do now, so she could only accept her fate. She hoped that Yu Jingchen wouldn't suddenly go crazy on her again.

Just as Nan Zhiyun was feeling anxious, Yu Jingchen suddenly spoke up, saying, "The imperial physician said that your health hasn't been very good lately, and the pregnancy isn't going well either."

Nan Zhiyun wasn't sure what he meant, so she could only guess based on his phrasing. But at this moment, it was better to remain silent than to speak; if she said something wrong, the consequences would be unimaginable.

"The imperial physician said it's because of your emotions. Didn't you know you were pregnant? Why are you always in this mood?" He hadn't come over these past few days because he knew he would put pressure on her, so he wanted her to adjust herself. He never expected Nan Zhiyun to have gotten herself into this state.

Nan Zhiyun listened to Yu Jingchen's words without speaking. Was the knot in her heart so easy to untie? Could she really just ignore it like that? How could she forget those things? If she could, she would rather never remember them at all.

Looking at the meek and submissive Nan Zhiyun, Yu Jingchen felt a tightness in his chest, but he didn't dare to say anything harsh, lest he make things worse for Nan Zhiyun.

"You said before that you wanted to leave the palace," Yu Jingchen suddenly brought up.

Nan Zhiyun raised her head and glanced cautiously at Yu Jingchen. She noticed that Yu Jingchen didn't seem very angry, so she dared to relax a little.

Why is he saying this now? Last time, his behavior clearly showed he wasn't allowing himself to leave; he won't let himself off so easily.

Just when all hope in Nan Zhiyun's eyes had vanished, Yu Jingchen's words struck Nan Zhiyun's heart.

Nan Zhiyun even thought she had misheard him. Had he just said he would allow her to leave?

Nan Zhiyun looked at Yu Jingchen, and their eyes met. Seeing the expectation and caution in her eyes, Yu Jingchen felt a slight pang in his heart, but it quickly disappeared. He didn't know if the pain was from Nan Zhiyun's humble caution or from her truly abandoning her former principles and so desperately wanting to leave the palace.

"I can grant your request to leave the palace," Yu Jingchen repeated. Nan Zhiyun was certain she hadn't misheard, but she still couldn't believe it.

"Someone, prepare the carriage," Yu Jingchen immediately ordered.

Nan Zhiyun felt a vague unease; she sensed something was amiss. Yu Jingchen shouldn't be this kind of person, so what exactly was he plotting?

Fortunately, he couldn't understand what his emperor was doing, but he couldn't ask. He could only continue making preparations, and soon the carriage was ready.

"What are you still standing here for? Go change your clothes." Yu Jingchen glanced at Nan Zhiyun and then said.

Changing clothes? Does he really want to let her go? Nan Zhiyun was skeptical, but she was still led by Qianxia to change her clothes. Xinglai outside couldn't help but ask, "Your Majesty, are you really letting Consort Shu leave like this?"

"Ha, leave? She can forget about it!" Yu Jingchen's mockery was obvious. Seeing this, Xing Lai became even more confused.

"Then what is Your Majesty doing...?" Fortunately, he didn't understand.

"Go to the imperial physician and get some pills to prevent miscarriage." Yu Jingchen then gave another order. Fortunately, he couldn't understand His Majesty. What... what new tricks was this? Did he want to give Consort Shu a chance to leave first, and then trip her up so that she would understand that she could not escape His Majesty's grasp, thus completely extinguishing Consort Shu's hopes?

Fortunately, he dared not think any further. He hoped that it wasn't true, otherwise the situation would only get worse. He didn't dare to delay and quickly went to get the pills.

Nan Zhiyun changed her clothes and removed her makeup before emerging, feeling much lighter. She walked up to Yu Jingchen and gave a slight bow: "Your Majesty..."

Yu Jingchen looked at her, sized her up, and then looked at Xinglai beside him: "Give her the pills."

Fortunately, she took out one pill. Nan Zhiyun frowned as she looked at the pill. What did this mean? What kind of medicine was this?

"Eat it," Yu Jingchen said, without any explanation.

Nan Zhiyun looked hesitant, but luckily someone nearby couldn't help but speak up and explain, "Your Majesty, please rest assured, this is for pregnancy support. His Majesty specifically instructed me to fetch it from the Imperial Hospital."

Nan Zhiyun looked at Yu Jingchen, and perhaps in the end, she picked it up and put it in her mouth. Yu Jingchen reached out and gave her the remaining pills.

Nan Zhiyun stood there, momentarily at a loss for what to do next. Yu Jingchen looked at her, stood up, and walked to Nan Zhiyun. Nan Zhiyun's heart pounded wildly.

"Swallow it, hmm?" Yu Jingchen's last word clearly carried a warning. Nan Zhiyun's heart tightened, and she finally swallowed the pill that was still in her mouth.

Yu Jingchen was finally satisfied, and then said to the person next to him, "Send her onto the carriage."

Is that all? Nan Zhiyun still couldn't quite believe that Yu Jingchen was really going to let her leave. She was led to a carriage that had been prepared outside, her heart pounding with anxiety.

Nan Zhiyun boarded the carriage. The carriage wasn't particularly large, just big enough for two people, her and Qianxia. However, the interior of the carriage was very well-decorated, with soft furnishings everywhere.

Nan Zhiyun sat in the carriage for a while, still feeling confused. Soon, the carriage started moving. Was it really leaving like this? She felt something was off, as if something was missing.

They soon arrived at the palace gates. The carriage stopped for a moment, perhaps after the servants spoke to it, and soon it started moving again, leaving the palace without any obstruction. She was surprised to see the carriage completely disappear from the palace gates.
