Chapter 618 Female Rebirth Chapter: Yu Jingchen Wants to Abort the Child

Yu Jingchen noticed Nan Zhiyun's gaze. Under her watchful eye, Yu Jingchen slowly picked up the bowl of medicine. Nan Zhiyun felt as if her heart was about to burst.

"You really don't want to drink it yourself?" Yu Jingchen asked him.

Nan Zhiyun remained silent. In truth, as long as Yu Jingchen didn't budge, no one could help her.

"Alright, I understand." Yu Jingchen put the medicine bowl down again, and Nan Zhiyun didn't know what he wanted to do.

"I asked you these questions because I wanted to get your opinion. But... Nan Zhiyun, you need to know your current physical condition." Yu Jingchen calmed himself down. He didn't want to use any forceful methods on Nan Zhiyun right now, and he knew that Nan Zhiyun couldn't handle his temper.

"The imperial physician said that no matter what, it's too late to save her," Yu Jingchen said simply and bluntly.

“If you don’t remove it now, what will happen later? If you can’t get rid of it, are you sure you can handle it? Even if you can, what about your body? Your father will be back later. It’s okay if you don’t want to now, but you need to think about whether you can really accept the consequences.” Yu Jingchen became much more serious. Nan Zhiyun sat there blankly, not knowing what to choose.

Yu Jingchen approached her and placed his hand on her head: "It's just that the time hasn't come yet. There will be other opportunities in the future. Why are you so stubborn?" Yu Jingchen said.

Nan Zhiyun kept her head down and never looked up. She heard Yu Jingchen's words, but... she would never have the chance again.

“You have to be responsible for yourself, Nan Zhiyun. Don’t treat these things as a joke. You need to know what’s best for you to choose, understand?” Yu Jingchen didn’t threaten him. Compared to usual, he was already quite calm.

The bowl of medicine had been sitting beside her, and it looked like it was about to cool down. Nan Zhiyun stared at it without saying a word. Yu Jingchen didn't press her further, only saying, "Nan Zhiyun, I don't really want to force you to abort this child, but you must understand that if one day this child is lost due to some accident, you may truly never have another chance. In your current state, how can you expect things to get better in the future?" Yu Jingchen reminded her.

The room was unusually quiet, and no one dared to make a sound to disturb them. Yu Jingchen sat down to the side, not in a hurry.

"I want to get up..." Nan Zhiyun finally spoke after a long pause.

"What do you want me to do?" Yu Jingchen asked, looking at her.

“I can keep him… I can stand up. If I can stand up, I’ll keep him, okay?” Nan Zhiyun probably couldn’t make any decisions herself, so she chose this way.

However... she actually thought in her heart that she could stand up, and she could prove to Yu Jingchen that she could.

Yu Jingchen remained silent, and Nan Zhiyun assumed he disagreed, so she immediately added, "If I can stay this time, I promise I will be good and obedient from now on, and I will never ask to leave the palace again, okay? I beg you." Nan Zhiyun did not use the self-reference "your humble servant" when she spoke.

Yu Jingchen finally gave in. He sighed, stood up again, and reached out his hand to Nan Zhiyun: "Get up?"

Nan Zhiyun hadn't expected Yu Jingchen to agree to her request today; he seemed much more agreeable now. She placed her hand in Yu Jingchen's, and he helped her, trying to stand up.

Actually, her stomach was still quite painful. Her whole body was sore and weak, and she had no extra strength at all. The moment she stood up, she fell down, but Yu Jingchen caught her around the waist, so she didn't fall to the ground.

“You can’t stand up, can you?” Yu Jingchen said to her.

“I can…” Nan Zhiyun didn’t want things to end like this. Only by standing firm could she keep this child. She could do it.

Yu Jingchen didn't say anything else; if she wanted to try, then let her try. However, although he said that, he never let go of her hand.

"The Empress Dowager has arrived!" A sudden announcement came from outside.

Nan Zhiyun and Yu Jingchen both looked outside at the same time. The Empress Dowager was wearing a black phoenix robe today, which made her look much more imposing.

"Your Majesty the Empress Dowager..." Nan Zhiyun looked at the Empress Dowager. When the Empress Dowager saw Nan Zhiyun, her expression finally softened. But now was not the time to think about so much.

Upon hearing of Nan Zhiyun's accident, the Empress Dowager rushed over. She approached Nan Zhiyun and said, "Yun'er..." Ignoring whether Yu Jingchen was still nearby, the Empress Dowager pulled Nan Zhiyun into her arms and supported her. Nan Zhiyun's eyes were red; her earlier grievances and fear were now clearly visible.

"Don't cry, I'm here, okay?" The Empress Dowager smiled lovingly at Nan Zhiyun.

"Your Majesty... I want to keep the child, I can't bear to part with him." Nan Zhiyun spoke her heart.

"Yes, I know." The Empress Dowager helped Nan Zhiyun tidy her hair, then stepped past Yu Jingchen and helped Nan Zhiyun sit down.

Then she looked at Yu Jingchen and said, "Your Majesty, you may excuse yourself for a while. I have a word with Yun'er."

Yu Jingchen stood still, and the Empress Dowager was not in a hurry. She simply said, "No one has a better solution than me now, Your Majesty. Don't waste any more time."

Yu Jingchen looked at the Empress Dowager, whose expression remained unchanged. He then looked at Nan Zhiyun. She hadn't truly cried out of fear even after what she had just done, but in front of the Empress Dowager, she could freely express her true self. Was this the difference?
