"If you drink this, this bowl could be a lifesaver. Do you want it or not?" Yu Jingchen bluntly stated.
"No!" Nan Zhiyun didn't want this to happen. Yu Jingchen's approach was the one she hated the most. If this happened this time, there would be another time, and if this cycle continued endlessly, when would there be any result?
Upon hearing Nan Zhiyun's words, Yu Jingchen did not hesitate at all and said to the palace servant beside him, "Who was responsible for this bowl of porridge? Execute him!" Yu Jingchen raised his voice for the last word.
Nan Zhiyun hadn't expected him to actually do it, and not just to scare her. When she heard those words, she looked at Yu Jingchen with disbelief in her eyes.
"Since you've made your decision, don't regret it. Every classmate you sit next to now determines someone's life or death. Don't try to challenge me." Yu Jingchen's words left no room for negotiation. He was speaking an imperial edict, and no one had the right to object.
"No..." Nan Zhiyun's voice trembled.
"No, you must bear the consequences of your actions. So... you need to think things through carefully and not make me make such decisions again. The weak never have the right to bargain, and you are a weakling now." Yu Jingchen's words were rather harsh, but... they were the truth.
"Eat it." Yu Jingchen placed the bowl of porridge back in front of her.
Looking at the bowl of porridge in front of her, Nan Zhiyun dared not be willful, nor dared she continue to refuse. She picked up the spoon and ate in small bites, her tears falling into the bowl, falling into the hearts of some people.
Yu Jingchen stood by, witnessing everything clearly, but unfortunately, it had no effect on him. Perhaps he felt heartache, reluctance, and unbearable pain, but there was no other way, because only in this way would Nan Zhiyun obey.

He patted Nan Zhiyun's back, and Nan Zhiyun pushed Yu Jingchen away. Yu Jingchen did not expect Nan Zhiyun to make such a move, but... the anger that had not yet risen in his heart was extinguished when he saw her bright white face.
"I'll summon the imperial physician for you," Yu Jingchen said, and then gave Xinglai a command, but Nan Zhiyun stopped him: "No need, I just vomited, it's alright, I can continue eating." Nan Zhiyun's tone seemed much colder than before, and now she spoke as if she had lost all hope.
Yu Jingchen became nervous at her tone, but before he could do anything, he saw Nan Zhiyun sit up straight and eat everything in her bowl. Yu Jingchen could clearly tell she couldn't finish, but…
Finally, Nan Zhiyun vomited again, and Yu Jingchen also reacted. He exhaled, perhaps to calm his agitated emotions.
"If you really can't eat it, then don't eat it." Yu Jingchen finally spoke up.
However, Nan Zhiyun wouldn't listen to him now. Instead, she said, "It's alright, I can eat it all. His Majesty wants me to eat properly and eat more, so naturally I can't let His Majesty down, nor would I dare to disobey the imperial decree." Nan Zhiyun said, and then continued eating.
When Yu Jingchen saw her action, he couldn't hold back this time and grabbed her hand himself, shouting, "Nan Zhiyun, what kind of temper are you throwing now!" He was furious.
Nan Zhiyun remained unmoved, only looking coldly at Yu Jingchen: "It was clearly you who wanted me to continue eating. I was obedient, I was well-behaved. I'm hungry... I want to eat."
Her tone made Yu Jingchen panic. He really wanted to teach Nan Zhiyun a lesson, but every time he tried to say something, he couldn't bring himself to say it.
Finally, he pulled Nan Zhiyun into his arms and said, "Nan Zhiyun... I was wrong, and I apologize to you now. I don't need your forgiveness, but could you please not act like this?" Yu Jingchen admitted his mistake and said it to Nan Zhiyun, his tone full of helplessness.
Nan Zhiyun never imagined that one day Yu Jingchen would admit his mistakes and apologize to others. But unfortunately, she couldn't be moved at all now, nor could she stir up any other emotions. She just felt very wronged, very unhappy, and very regretful.
Why can he be so self-righteous after making a mistake? Why can he remain indifferent after making a mistake? Why is it enough for him to say a few words after making a mistake?
Nan Zhiyun didn't move in his arms, but just cried silently. The tears were uncontrollable; once they started falling, they couldn't be stopped.
Yu Jingchen could clearly feel the wetness and heat on his chest, and a pang of pain shot through his heart. He didn't know what to do or how to make amends.
Admitting his mistake was something he hadn't expected. He had once thought it was impossible for him to make a mistake.
