"What happened just now?" Yu Jingchen asked, but Nan Zhiyun seemed hesitant to answer.
"I'm not angry, just tell me, okay? Even if you don't tell me now, I'll find out in a bit." Yu Jingchen said very directly.
"...I want to take a shower..." Nan Zhiyun hesitated for a while before finally saying it to Yu Jingchen. He had thought it was something important, but it turned out to be such a small thing. He found it a little funny, but he felt more sorry for her. After all, it was just a small thing, yet it made Nan Zhiyun so terrified.
"It's just a shower, what's there to be afraid of? But you still have injuries, right? You can't get it wet yet." Yu Jingchen's words meant that it was not allowed.
Nan Zhiyun lowered her head, gently biting her lip, and said nothing. Seeing this, Yu Jingchen felt a pang of pain in his heart; he felt pity for such a cautious person.
"Haven't I been cleaning it for you every day? Can you bear with it for a couple more days?" Yu Jingchen still didn't budge, after all, the wound really couldn't get wet.
Nan Zhiyun remained silent, only nodding repeatedly, but she never raised her head.
Yu Jingchen knew that she dared not refuse or resist, otherwise she would not have nodded in agreement.
"Fine... if you want to wash, then wash, but can you let me help you?" Yu Jingchen had already made a concession.
However, Nan Zhiyun might find it hard to accept that someone like Yu Jingchen would help her take a bath.
"Didn't I always help you apply medicine and clean your body before? So what are you still avoiding and afraid of now?" Yu Jingchen saw her resistance.
Nan Zhiyun was speechless at those words, but she didn't know how to accept them.
"So, can I help you?" Yu Jingchen asked her.
Nan Zhiyun slightly raised her head to look at him, but did not speak. Yu Jingchen was not in a hurry, but just kept staring at her, waiting for her to speak.
"I'm not washing anymore..." That was the last thing Nan Zhiyun said.
Yu Jingchen raised an eyebrow slightly. Was it really that hard to accept?
"Are you really not going to wash?" Yu Jingchen asked her.
"Hmm," Nan Zhiyun replied. Yu Jingchen knew she was upset, but it wasn't a good time to take a bath anyway. The wound had just scabbed over, and it would hurt when the medicine was applied. What if it got wet while she was taking a bath?
"You've been staying indoors for the past few days, aren't you getting tired of it? The sun's been shining brightly outside these past few days, why don't you go out and lie down for a bit?" Yu Jingchen was worried that Nan Zhiyun would get sick from being cooped up indoors all the time.
He still remembered that in her previous life, Nan Zhiyun loved being outside the most and would never stay still inside the house. The reason she was now obediently staying inside was only because of these reasons.
However, Nan Zhiyun still didn't agree this time. She shook her head, which was somewhat unexpected.
"Don't you want to go out?" Yu Jingchen asked her.
"Not going out" Nan Zhiyun seemed to be resisting the outside environment. Yu Jingchen didn't know if it was just his imagination, but he always felt that Nan Zhiyun was different from the previous incarnations. Was it because she returned too late this time, so some things had changed?
Nan Zhiyun seems to be more fragile and sensitive than before, even resistant to communicating with people. She doesn't even want to leave her room and is afraid of strangers.

If she went out, all her scars would be exposed to the world. She felt like she had been stripped naked, left to be looked at and ridiculed by others. She felt like she could trample on anyone. She didn't want to be looked at like that.
Perhaps her emotions had suddenly changed; Nan Zhiyun's current condition seemed a bit off. Yu Jingchen frowned slightly, noticing the anomaly as well.
"What's wrong? Why are you suddenly unhappy?" Yu Jingchen gently put his arm around her.
"If you don't want to go out, then don't go out. Why did you suddenly become like this? It's okay, don't overthink it, okay?" Yu Jingchen comforted her.
“I want to go back to Yajing Residence…” Nan Zhiyun said, and if you listened carefully, you could actually hear a hint of a sob in her voice.
Yu Jingchen didn't know why things had suddenly turned out this way. Why was she crying all of a sudden?
"What's wrong? Why are you sad? Is it because of something I just said?" Yu Jingchen asked proactively.
Nan Zhiyun shook her head, but she hadn't been crying much just now. Under Yu Jingchen's comforting and coaxing, she couldn't hold back anymore, and tears streamed down her face.
"What's wrong? Don't keep it to yourself, please tell me." Yu Jingchen panicked when he saw her tears. Although Nan Zhiyun hadn't said much these past few days, she had never broken down in tears like this before. Now that she was crying like this, Yu Jingchen started to panic.
He wiped away Nan Zhiyun's tears, but Nan Zhiyun seemed completely unable to stop now.
"Don't cry, tell me what happened, okay? I'm listening. Just say whatever you want to say. Did I say something wrong? What made you unhappy? Tell me, okay?" Yu Jingchen felt that he must have said something wrong, which was why she was acting this way.
