Yu Jingchen's head was throbbing, but these things didn't matter at all. The most important thing now was to find Nan Zhiyun. Yu Jingchen looked at the fire that was growing bigger and bigger, and his heart tightened slightly.
He went into the hall and saw Nan Zhiyun standing in the middle of the room dressed in white, still calm and composed, as if the fire around her had nothing to do with her.
Upon seeing the person, Yu Jingchen rushed over without thinking, just as something nearby burst into flames and collapsed, blocking his path. Yu Jingchen instinctively stepped in to block it, while Nan Zhiyun watched without reacting.
Yu Jingchen didn't care about anything else and kept walking inside, but the fire kept spreading, leaving him no time to hesitate.
Just as Yu Jingchen was walking inside, something fell from the eaves and hit him on the back. Fortunately, it wasn't very heavy and didn't cause much of an impact. Yu Jingchen didn't even linger; he went over and hugged Nan Zhiyun in his arms. "It's okay, I'll take you out." Yu Jingchen said, trying to pick Nan Zhiyun up, but Nan Zhiyun refused.
"What are you doing? Let's go." Yu Jingchen could actually guess what Nan Zhiyun was thinking, but sorry, he couldn't just watch her make a scene like this.
“The Empress Dowager in my past life was like this…” Nan Zhiyun finally spoke, but the Empress Dowager? No matter what the reason was, the current situation did not allow them to discuss it: “Let’s talk about it after we get out, okay? I’ll carry you out.” Yu Jingchen said, and he went to carry Nan Zhiyun. It was very hot inside the room, and the precarious eaves could collapse at any time, making it very dangerous.

Yu Jingchen looked at her: "Do you hate me that much?" He wasn't angry, but his tone was tinged with sadness.
"Yes, I hate it," Nan Zhiyun said calmly.
Yu Jingchen laughed, a bitter laugh: "Then hate me. I'll take you out of here. Even if I die, you'll still have to get out." With that, he forced himself to carry her out.
He had only just stood up when he suddenly knelt on the ground. His whole body was sore and weak, and Nan Zhiyun was also unsteady on her feet, her consciousness gradually becoming hazy.
Just then, the people outside came in. Hearing the noise, Nan Zhiyun closed her eyes. She had done what she could; the rest... whatever. The rescuers quickly found Yu Jingchen and Nan Zhiyun.
"Take Consort Shu out," Yu Jingchen ordered.
"Yes," they naturally obeyed Yu Jingchen. Nan Zhiyun did not resist at all. She knew that this was all she could do. What was the use of resisting? But just as the palace servants were about to take Nan Zhiyun out, an accident happened.
The roof above Yu Jingchen could no longer bear the weight and began to fall: "Your Majesty!" The palace servants tried to stop it, but they were inevitably hit by the falling debris.
"Your Majesty, let this servant help you out." The smoke inside the room was getting thicker and thicker; staying any longer would certainly be dangerous.
"Get out," Yu Jingchen said.
"Your Majesty?" The palace servant was not quite understanding.
Nan Zhiyun heard these words in her hazy state of consciousness. She didn't know what Yu Jingchen was going to do next, but she clearly heard the last sentence: "Let's see if this fire can fulfill your wish..."
Nan Zhiyun was taken away from the palace, and from the outside, it could be seen that the entire Zichen Palace was now basically on fire.
Nan Zhiyun's white clothes were already dirty. Before her consciousness completely dissipated, she looked back at Zichen Palace. He... didn't seem to have come out.
Then she felt a ringing in her ears and her head went blank. Then she heard someone shout, "Your Highness Consort Shu!" and then she lost consciousness completely.
Nan Zhiyun had a dream in which she was pregnant and the people around her called her Empress. She was sitting in the palace, heavily pregnant and looking unhappy.
Then they heard a palace servant standing guard outside call out, "Your Majesty!"
Yu Jingchen walked in from outside, a smile on his face from the moment he entered, gentle and patient.
And I was sitting there like I was sulking, too lazy to move an inch. Was that really me? And... was that person really Yu Jingchen?
She saw Yu Jingchen walk over and squat down in front of her: "What's wrong? Are you unhappy again? Who made you angry?" Yu Jingchen took her hand, smiled and asked her gently.
"Has Your Majesty forgotten about me?" Nan Zhiyun pouted, looking pitiful.
"How could I? Yun'er is so cute, how could I forget Yun'er? I cherish her too much." Yu Jingchen stood up, then picked up Nan Zhiyun and let her sit on his lap.
"My stomach is upset, Your Majesty. Look how big it is already. But Your Majesty doesn't care about me at all. I haven't eaten anything all day, and I feel like throwing up." Nan Zhiyun hugged Yu Jingchen's neck and began to whine.
"Hmm, it's all my fault. So, Yun'er, what do you want to eat? Or are you thinking of leaving the palace again?" Yu Jingchen immediately saw through her trick.
"..." Nan Zhiyun was seen through, but she didn't feel embarrassed at all: "Then will Your Majesty allow it?" Nan Zhiyun started to act coquettishly, and Yu Jingchen laughed helplessly and indulgently: "Of course you can, go out whenever you want, is there any place in Tiansheng that you can't go?" He pinched Nan Zhiyun's nose, and Nan Zhiyun smiled contentedly.
