Chapter 75 Awakening

When Nan Zhiyun woke up again, it was already the next day, and Yu Jingchen was no longer at Ya Jing Residence.

"Qianxia?" Nan Zhiyun called out to the outside.

Soon, Qianxia came in from outside: "Jieyu, you're awake? Let me help you wash up." Qianxia went over and helped Nan Zhiyun get out of bed.

"What time is it?" Nan Zhiyun asked. Perhaps because she had applied medicine yesterday, the redness and swelling on Nan Zhiyun's face had subsided considerably.

"Reporting to Consort Jieyu, it's already past 9 AM," Qianxia replied.

"It's so late already? Why didn't you wake me?" Nan Zhiyun asked, somewhat surprised.

"It's rare for Consort to have a proper rest, and this servant hopes that Consort can sleep a little longer," Qianxia replied with a smile. Nan Zhiyun hadn't had a proper rest in a long time.

"Your Majesty...were you there last night?" Nan Zhiyun suddenly changed the subject.

"His Majesty stayed at Yajing Residence all night and only left this morning. He didn't let anyone disturb Consort Jieyu before going straight to the morning court," Qianxia replied. She was genuinely happy for Nan Zhiyun because His Majesty's attitude seemed to have really changed now, so this must be the end of hardship and the beginning of happiness.

"Did he say anything else? What was His Majesty like when he left this morning?" Nan Zhiyun asked cautiously. She actually still remembered what happened yesterday, so she was a little worried.

"His Majesty didn't say anything else when he left this morning, and I couldn't tell that anything was different," Qianxia replied truthfully.

Yu Jingchen always had only a few expressions, making him impossible to understand.

"Jieyu, let me help you wash up first. It'll be time for breakfast soon," Qianxia said. Just then, she noticed the red mark on Nan Zhiyun's arm.

"Jieyu is clearly allergic to fish, why did she still eat it? It will take her two days to recover." Qianxia knew that Nan Zhiyun had an allergic reaction to fish yesterday.

"It's nothing," Nan Zhiyun said, unconcerned. The imperial kitchen knew about Nan Zhiyun's dietary restrictions, but since Yu Jingchen was also there, they couldn't very well stop serving fish and meat just because of her.

Qianxia was also helpless, so she simply stopped talking and changed the subject.

"Oh, right, Consort Jieyu, the Imperial Concubine has resumed paying her respects, and she said she can go next month," Qianxia suddenly remembered.

With no Empress in the palace, the Imperial Concubine held the highest rank and the Phoenix Seal. It was understandable that the other concubines would come to pay their respects. However, the Imperial Concubine had previously found it troublesome and preferred quiet, so she didn't allow anyone to come every day, but she still made sure to visit a few days each month.

"Then go." Nan Zhiyun didn't have any particular feelings about the Consort. It seemed that she didn't care about anything except managing palace affairs. No matter what happened in the harem, she always looked calm and collected, and did everything as if she were handling official business.

Zichen Palace

Today, Yu Jingchen did not go to the Qin Zheng Hall after court; instead, he returned to the Zi Chen Palace.

"Is anything going on at Ya Jing Ju?" This was surprisingly Yu Jingchen's first question.

"It seems nothing much has happened today," Xinglai replied.

"Get He'an Hall ready as soon as possible," Yu Jingchen instructed again.

"Yes, Your Majesty, I have already instructed my servants to do their utmost to prepare it," Xinglai replied.

Yu Jingchen hummed in response and didn't say anything more. Around noon, news spread that Yu Jingchen had gone to the Imperial Concubine's residence for a meal.
