The atmosphere in the Hall of Diligent Governance was tense. Xinglai didn't know whether he should offer advice or not, but he couldn't help himself and asked, "Your Majesty, why don't you go and see the Elegant Residence? Consort Nan must have been wronged today."

Xing Lai understood immediately and pushed open the door. When Yu Jingchen went in, he didn't see Nan Zhiyun. He frowned slightly and went into the inner room, where he saw Nan Zhiyun curled up in a small ball, sitting in the corner of the bed with her knees drawn up to her chest.
The ground was cold, and she was only wearing a thin undergarment, her hair was loose, and her swollen face was exposed. She was sitting barefoot on the ground.
Upon seeing this scene, Yu Jingchen's heart skipped a beat, a slight pain shooting through him, but he paid it no mind. Nan Zhiyun sat there as if she had lost consciousness, her gaze vacant, seemingly oblivious even as Yu Jingchen approached.
Yu Jingchen knelt down in front of Nan Zhiyun without saying a word. He quietly looked at Nan Zhiyun for a while before reaching out to help her lift her hair.
However, Nan Zhiyun suddenly became agitated, reaching out to cover herself and trying to shrink back as she made uneasy noises. But there was only a wall behind her, and Nan Zhiyun had nowhere to escape.
Yu Jingchen, nicknamed "Nan Zhiyun," grasped Nan Zhiyun's hand.
Nan Zhiyun didn't dare to look over, her hands were clenched tightly, and her body was trembling. Yu Jingchen simply grabbed Nan Zhiyun's arms with both hands.
"Nan Zhiyun, what are you doing?!" Yu Jingchen shouted.
Nan Zhiyun's body trembled, and then she stared blankly at Yu Jingchen. A few seconds later, Nan Zhiyun's tears fell without warning.

When Yu Jingchen saw Nan Zhiyun like this, his heart clenched. The next moment, Nan Zhiyun threw herself into Yu Jingchen's arms. Perhaps she couldn't care about anything else at this moment.
