Yu Jingchen adjusted his mood and tried to make his voice sound gentle.
"Even if I said I would do something to you, I wouldn't. Get up first, okay? The ground is cold, and you're injured," Yu Jingchen said.
"No, Your Majesty, I beg you... please spare me..." Nan Zhiyun seemed unable to hear anything.
"What's wrong with her now?!" Yu Jingchen asked the imperial physician behind him.
"Your Majesty, Consort Nan must have suffered some kind of shock, and it's probably related to Your Majesty, which is why... that's why she was so afraid when she saw Your Majesty," the imperial physician said.
"What should we do?" Yu Jingchen suppressed his anger; now was not the time to be angry.
“Your Majesty…would you like to leave first? Consort Nan might feel better if she didn’t see Your Majesty…” the imperial physician said.
"How can I leave in her current state?!" Yu Jingchen would not choose to leave at this time.
"Your Majesty, if you continue to stay here, then... then Consort Nan may not be able to calm down." The imperial physician dared not say this, but what else could he do but speak up?
Yu Jingchen looked at Nan Zhiyun's current condition, remained silent for a while, and then slowly released his grip on her hand. But just as he let go and stood up, he saw Nan Zhiyun rush to one side as if she had gone mad, where a dagger had been placed at some point.
Nan Zhiyun swiftly grabbed the dagger and was about to stab herself in the chest. Seeing this, Yu Jingchen felt his heart stop. Without thinking, he swung his palm, knocking the dagger from Nan Zhiyun's hand.
"Nan Zhiyun!" This time, Yu Jingchen was truly angry with her.
He immediately went over, pulled Nan Zhiyun up, and looked at her with eyes full of anger: "Do you want to die?" He said this through gritted teeth.
"Your Majesty, kill me, kill me..." Nan Zhiyun said, her eyes filled with desolation.
Yu Jingchen's heart skipped a beat.
"Nan Zhiyun, what's wrong with you? Please tell me." Yu Jingchen suppressed his anger once again.
"Your Majesty...kill me..." Nan Zhiyun showed absolutely no desire to continue living.
Yu Jingchen was at his wits' end, and he certainly wouldn't dare to go out alone now. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.
"What exactly happened? Tell me first, okay?" Yu Jingchen had used up all his patience on this.
But Nan Zhiyun refused to speak, only repeating, "Kill me..."
Seeing Nan Zhiyun's miserable state made Yu Jingchen suddenly feel powerless. He simply gave up asking questions and instead pulled her onto the bed to sit down. Nan Zhiyun couldn't struggle and could only plead with her eyes. She then moved to the edge of the bed again.
Yu Jingchen watched, this time saying nothing, asking nothing, and making no unnecessary movements. He simply observed Nan Zhiyun silently, waiting to see when she would calm down.
Nan Zhiyun huddled in the corner, trembling uncontrollably, not from the cold, but from fear. Even so, she kept a wary eye on Yu Jingchen, afraid that he might do something. Any slight movement from Yu Jingchen would startle her.
The room suddenly fell silent.
