Back to School
Because it was winter vacation and the Chinese New Year, Shi Shi lived a blissful life at home. She slept until almost lunch every day, skipping breakfast and eating lunch and dinner normally. Then she stayed up late to play games on her phone, and secretly ordered takeout when she was hungry. The address she filled in was the same as when Qin Yichuan was still in China. She filled in the address of Zeng Mu's house next door, and asked someone to leave it at the door. She would then sneak over to get it. This kind of life continued for a long time, making her so happy that she almost forgot that school was about to start.
In fact, she was not completely unconscious, but as soon as she got home, she seemed to have suddenly regressed in all aspects. Occasionally, she would think about how long it would take before she returned to school, and then calculate the time, and then happily play with her mobile phone again.
Shi Shi always thought there was no need to rush, but it was not until the last few days that she suddenly woke up and remembered that it was time to buy tickets.
Originally, he wanted to schedule his return to school the day before school started, but there must be a lot of people who think this way. Thinking of the crowded school gate on the first day of school last time, Shi Shi didn't like to join in the crowd, so he scheduled it two days before.
After booking her tickets, she began to slowly pack her luggage, sorting a little today and a little tomorrow. It's hard to pack everything all at once; you'll always remember you're missing something. So, if she packs on the last day, by the time she realizes she's left something behind, she'll probably already be on the train.
Shi Shi cleaned up for a while, felt her stomach, and felt a little hungry, so she decided to go downstairs to find something to eat. She got up a little early today, and it was still lunchtime, so she had to find something to eat.
But unexpectedly, he saw Zeng Mu in the living room downstairs. He was sitting on the sofa with Zhima in his arms. Zhima squinted his eyes and exposed his belly, enjoying Zeng Mu's frequent touches.
"Wake up, there's porridge in the pot. Do you want some?" Zeng Mu reminded her immediately after hearing the noise and seeing it was her. Zhima in his arms also meowed and ran towards her. She first responded to Zeng Mu, then squatted down and picked up Zhima. The man and the cat were intimate for a long time.
When she wanted to go to the kitchen to get some porridge, she saw Zeng Mu carrying a bowl of porridge out, placing it on the dining table, and beckoning her to sit down. "Come and drink the porridge quickly."
She thanked him and sat down, but she felt uneasy. It felt so strange. This was clearly her home. Why did Zeng Mu act like he was his? During the holidays, Aunt Ma was always busy and had to leave early and come back late, sometimes not coming back for several days. So Uncle Qin kept asking Zeng Mu to come over for dinner. Zeng Mu came over every few days, and they saw each other much more often than they did at school.
Even Shi Shi would occasionally run into them when she went out to buy something. After all, they were not at school, so Shi Shi was more relaxed. She would wave from a distance, and nod and smile as a greeting when passing by.
Even when she went out to eat a bowl of noodles, she would run into him, but the noodles in that restaurant were really delicious.
After breakfast, Shi Shi saw Qin Yifan with a messy hair. She pulled him over and combed his hair. She watched him brush his teeth and wash his face. Only after she saw that he finished his breakfast obediently did she let him go to play.
Then Shi Shi asked Zeng Mu and found out that Uncle Qin and her mother were out, and they had to solve their own lunch today. Shi Shi suggested ordering takeout without thinking. Zeng Mu did not object, and Qin Yifan even agreed with both hands, shouting that he wanted to eat hamburgers and fried chicken.
Zeng Mu spent almost the entire day at her house, patiently playing with Qin Yifan for a long time. Shi Shi later realized she wasn't wearing the right pajamas, so she went upstairs to change into something comfortable before coming down. She sat on the sofa, playing with her phone and watching TV, occasionally chatting with the two of them.
On the day of returning to school, Shi Shi found her seat on the train with her light luggage. She glanced around casually and saw that the person sitting next to her was a stranger.
Finally arriving at the dormitory, she sat on a chair and rested for a while. There were quite a few people who saw her along the way, but she was the only one in her dormitory.
She quickly began to make the bed. After she finished, she felt a little sleepy, so she lay down on the bed and fell into a deep sleep.
When Shi Shi opened her eyes again, she found that it was already dark. She bought the train ticket early in the morning and arrived at school around two o'clock in the afternoon. She hadn't eaten lunch yet, so she just wanted to take a nap and go out to buy something to eat.
She checked her phone and saw that the time was 7pm, which was not too late. She had actually brought some snacks with her, but she just wanted to eat something hot right now, so she packed up a bit and prepared to find a small shop outside to eat something.
Shi Shi sat down in a restaurant that looked relatively clean and ordered a bowl of noodles. She just wanted to eat something light today, probably because she ate too much meat and fish at home almost every day, and then ate too much heavy and greasy takeout.
The waitress was a young girl who looked familiar to her at first sight. When she brought the noodles, Shi Shi took another look at her and then she remembered that this was her colleague who worked in a milk tea shop with her in college in her previous life.
In this life, she no longer has the pressure of tuition and living expenses, so she doesn't do these things. When she sees her "former" colleagues, she just misses them.
She knew she was enjoying her life a little too comfortably. Qin Lang was the one who earned all the money in the family. Shi Yiqing must have some savings, but she had quit her job and been a housewife for several years. In her previous life, paying for tuition hadn't been so difficult because Shi Yiqing had always worked.
Now that Uncle Qin was willing to help, why would she refuse? There was no need to work a hard part-time job for the sake of her self-esteem, taking up most of her extracurricular time. She enjoyed the current pace very much.
Shi Shi finished her noodles in small bites, paid the bill and left.
She walked on the road, her cheeks slightly hot from eating noodles were blown by the evening breeze, which felt quite good.
Then she saw Zeng Mu again.
In fact, when she was rushing to catch the train in the morning, she saw Zeng Mu in the yard next door and greeted him.
Seeing him at this time, it seems that his train ticket is only a few hours later than hers.
She saw that there were many people walking around him, probably his classmates, both male and female. There was a girl who was very close to him and spoke to him shyly.
There were a lot of people on the street, and the girl only had eyes for Zeng Mu, so she didn't pay attention or avoid the crowd and was bumped by someone. In panic, she subconsciously grabbed Zeng Mu's arm. When she realized what she had done, she lowered her head and her cheeks were red as if blood could drip out.
Wow, her eyesight is so good now. This was Shi Shi's first reaction. The next second, she sighed and said, this is the life of a normal college student. It's nice to have an ambiguous relationship.
Unfortunately, she has no interest in her current classmates.
She suddenly burped, and she covered her mouth in surprise. She thought to herself that she should not have drunk so much soup. She quickened her pace, intending to go back to the dormitory and drink some water to suppress the burp. She did not notice Zeng Mu's gaze from behind her.
