The first real meeting between Shi Shi and Qin Yichuan was a few days before the wedding.

Qin Yichuan was not very looking forward to the meeting between the two parties.

For Shi Shi, it doesn’t matter whether they meet or not.

It’s not like I don’t know what he/she looks like.

Both people have the same idea in their minds.

But I can't say what I'm thinking directly, because it seems more troublesome to explain it.

But we are about to become a family, how can we not have a formal introduction?

Shi Yiqing and Qin Lang both insisted on having a meal together so they could get to know each other. Otherwise, what would happen if the children from both families didn't recognize each other at the wedding?

The arranged location was the same hotel as before.

After meeting, the two sat quietly facing each other, surrounded by their respective parents.

"Hello, I'm Shi Shi."

"Qin Yichuan."

They exchanged names, glanced at each other, and then looked away.

They all felt that this way of meeting was too strange and awkward, but the two adults were unaware of it.

So in the box, one could only hear the two adults chatting, as they lowered their heads and ate very attentively.

After the wedding, Shi Shi stayed with Shi Yiqing at Qin's house for one night, and then returned to her original home.

The rent for this rented house has been paid in advance, and there are still three or four months left. During this period, Shi Shi plans to live here.

Shi Yiqing was of course worried at first, but although she and Qin Lang did not go on a honeymoon, they still had to go back to Shi Shi's hometown to meet Shi's parents and relatives who were unable to attend due to their old age.

Shi Shi did not go with them, firstly because there was no need, and secondly because of her awkward identity. She had seldom returned to her hometown in the past. For Shi Shi, the closest person to her in the world was only Shi Yiqing.

And Qin Yichuan did not go with Qin Lang, which was also normal.

"Be careful when you're home alone. If anything happens, find Aunt Zhu next door or call me." Shi Yiqing called Shi Shi again worriedly, repeating what she had said several times before.

"I understand, Mom, don't worry." Shi Shi said helplessly.

"I also want to feel at ease. I regret it now. I should have taken you back with me." I shouldn't have compromised because of my daughter's refusal when I mentioned it before.

"I really don't want to go back. Besides, you're often on business trips, so it's fine for me to go alone."

"It's different now than before. Otherwise, why don't you stay at Qin's house for a few days? Yichuan is alone at home too, and you two can keep each other company."

"I'm not familiar with him. Since you guys are not here, what's the point of me living there? Okay, I'm hanging up now." Shi Shi didn't want to say more, so she hung up the phone, walked to the entrance, changed her shoes, and went out.

Today, she still has to go out to do what she hadn't finished before.

====

Qin Yichuan was reading a message sent by Qin Lang, which roughly meant that as a brother, he should take responsibility and take good care of his sister in the next few days. After reading it, he threw his phone aside and continued playing games.

But after a few seconds, he picked up the phone again and saved the number Shi Shi sent him later.

Qin Lang wanted him to contact Shi Shi so that they could take care of each other in the next few days.

But Qin Yichuan only felt that the two of them were just in the stage of knowing each other, and if he wanted to care about her, it would depend on whether the other person would accept it.

These adults just take things for granted and think everything is so simple.

What about brother? Qin Yichuan, who had been an only child for more than ten years, looked at these two words with complicated feelings.

Just like that, he became my brother?

Qin Yichuan, who originally wanted to play games at home, thought about it, changed his clothes and went out.

After going out, he hesitated and walked around in his yard.

Although we have a ready-made excuse now, it would be bad to just go to the door like this, right?

How about calling her first and telling her?

No, I don't know what to say if I call.

After much hesitation and confusion, I finally walked out the door and ran into an old acquaintance - Zeng Mu.

It was quite a coincidence. My dad's business had been doing quite well in recent years, so he bought a new house last year and spent some time renovating it. He moved in a few months before the wedding. After moving in, he discovered that he happened to live near Zeng Mu's house. The fate of being neighbors was truly unbreakable.

"You're back." Qin Yichuan greeted.

"Well, where are you going?" Zeng Mu asked casually.

"Ah, no, I just went out for a stroll." But Qin Yichuan suddenly stumbled while speaking, and became nervous.

"Why are you so nervous? It's weird." Seeing that the other party was so obvious, Zeng Mu couldn't help but become curious.

"I'm not nervous, of course not. I won't talk to you anymore. I'm leaving first." Qin Yichuan said as he left in a hurry.

Qin Yichuan was very familiar with the general route to Shi Shi's house, as Du Lin had led him there before.

He walked to the gate of the community and felt that it was not a good idea to go to someone else's house without notifying them in advance. But he didn't want to call, so he sent a text message to Shi Shi tentatively.

Can I go in now?

While waiting for the reply, Qin Yichuan went into a small supermarket and picked out some food that he thought girls would like.

After paying the bill, I found out about the message from Shi Shi.

It turns out she wasn't at home.

Qin Yichuan was a little disappointed, and wondered if it was an excuse she came up with just because she didn't want to see him?

After carrying a large bag of things out of the supermarket, he had no choice but to go home. The inexplicable excitement he had felt before leaving the store was now extinguished.

When he reached the narrow path, Qin Yichuan suddenly remembered Du Lin, whom he had just met at the wedding the day before yesterday.

Although Du Lin never said it explicitly, Qin Yichuan guessed that he lived nearby. After all, he was so familiar with everything there. He didn't ask because he was afraid of touching his sore spot.

He and Du Lin actually knew each other since childhood, because their fathers knew each other before they were born, and they were very good friends.

Although the two knew each other, they were not compatible because when Qin Yichuan was a child and his parents had not divorced yet, under his mother's strict requirements, he was always regarded as the "other people's child" by other parents.

Du Lin, who was only interested in sports and had average academics, didn't really like him. At first, the two of them couldn't get along at all. They became close later when they teamed up to compete against a group of older kids. When they won, Du Lin, who had only dragged Qin Yichuan along to make up the numbers, realized that Qin Yichuan shared the same hobby. That's how the friendship between the two kids formed.
