Chapter 18 [Please add to your favorites]

Lin Leyou glanced at him. This player actually wanted to go directly to the village chief? He's got some nerve.

"The old village chief has handed over the position to his son, who is also the owner of the agritainment business. You can just go directly to the village chief, Song Ying."

Wu Yin was taken aback. The current village chief was Song Ying, the young man who had led them out of the fog and brought them to the agritainment business.

"Oh, I see. Do you know where Song Ying is staying?"

Lin Leyou shook his head. "I don't know. Go ask someone else."

Wu Yin thought to himself that the boss was probably afraid of the village chief, so he didn't dare to say anything.

Then he took his things and left the convenience store.

Little did Lin Leyou know that he genuinely didn't know where Song Ying was staying, since he had only just arrived.

The other villagers must know, especially Cao Bei, who had previously opposed Song Ying.

As luck would have it, not long after Wu Yin and Zhou Xuan left the convenience store, they ran into Cao Bei on the road.

Wu Yin took the opportunity to stop the villager, "Hello, hello, I'm a tourist visiting the village and I'm temporarily staying at the farmhouse. There's a problem with the guest rooms at the farmhouse, and I'd like to ask the village chief. Do you know where the village chief lives?"

Cao Bei originally wanted to talk to Lin Leyou, and he was getting impatient with someone stopping him, but he didn't expect that this was the person who was going to cause trouble for Song Ying, so he suddenly became interested.

It was only then that he remembered that there seemed to be outsiders in the village, tourists staying at the farmhouses.

"Hello, you're looking for Song Ying? Of course I know where he lives. I'm just about to go find him. Come with me, I'll take you there."

Seeing Cao Bei's enthusiasm, Wu Yin felt something was off, but she still followed him over, since the guest room issue still needed to be resolved.

Cao Bei led them through a maze of left and right until they arrived at the best house in the village. "This is it. Just go over and ring the doorbell. Song Ying is inside."

Wu Yin looked at the house in front of him. Although it was broad daylight, the doors and windows were tightly closed, and the house was lifeless, like a gaping maw waiting for prey to walk into its trap.

He wanted Cao Bei to call for help, but Cao Bei left after leading them here, so Wu Yin couldn't chase after him.

Now you have two options: either ring the doorbell or knock on the door, or turn around and leave.

Zhou Xuan walked up to him and tugged at his sleeve. "Brother Wu, should we go back and see if we can snatch other people's rooms? This village chief is definitely a boss-level character. If we go head-to-head with him, maybe..."

Wu Yin immediately went down the steps, saying, "Let's go back first."

As they turned to leave, they encountered Song's camp coming this way.

Wu Yin and Zhou Xuan were immediately startled.

Song Ying walked over slowly with a smile on his face. "You two came to see me?"

Wu Yin swallowed hard. "That... village chief?"

Song Ying smiled, looking quite pleased. "Yes, I am the village chief."

Wu Yin felt a little guilty. "Well, I was just taking a walk..."

Song Ying: "Really?"

Wu Yin quickly nodded, "Yes, yes."

Song Ying: "The scenery in this village is quite nice. I hope you have a good time."

Wu Yin: "Happy, happy."

Although Song Ying looked pale and thin, Wu Yin believed that in such a strange place, everything was dangerous, regardless of the theory.

Song Ying nodded. They were about to move forward; if they didn't speak now, they would miss their chance.

Wu Yin glanced at the sun in the sky, made a snap decision, and blurted out the words without even realizing it.

When he came to his senses, he found Song Ying turned to look at him. "You mean the guest rooms at the farmhouse?"

Wu Yin glanced at Zhou Xuan and found her trembling behind him, not daring to look up.

Wu Yin then realized that she had actually blurted it out. "I..."

Since we've already said it, let's leave it at that.

"Yes, the guest room collapsed, and now there's nowhere to stay tonight. I didn't know about this problem..."

Song Ying nodded. "That makes sense. After all, this agritainment business is mine. Well... in that case, you can stay at someone else's place."

After saying that, Song Ying left without waiting for him to ask any further questions.

Wu Yin blinked. What? Stay in someone else's guest room?

Is it really that simple? So there's no need to compete for any guest rooms at all?

Zhou Xuan waited until Song Ying had disappeared from sight before whispering, "Brother Wu, shall we go and tell them the news now?"

Wu Yin stroked his chin, thought carefully, and decided that he definitely had to say something, but how should he say it? After all, they were the only two who had received a reply from Song Ying.

Even if I tell them, those people might not believe me.

Thinking about it further was useless, so Wu Yin decided to go back to the farmhouse and think of a solution.

After the two had walked away, a figure flashed past at a corner not far away. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be Xue Rui. He hadn't gone towards the farmhouse, but had quietly followed behind Wu Yin and the others.

Lin Leyou leisurely stayed at the shop, occasionally serving the villagers, and spending the rest of his time playing.

For decades he had been busy and didn’t use mobile phones or computers much, so he was engrossed in reading a few books.

Time flies, and it's almost 5 p.m. Lin Leyou glanced at the things Xue Rui had left for him. There were still ten minutes left; if he didn't come soon, these things could be put back on the shelf.

There are only five minutes left. This big bag of stuff costs over 300 yuan. Are you sure you don't want it?

Xue Rui knew, of course, that his things were still at the convenience store, but he had no intention of going to get them today.

He stood in the guest room near the door, while Liu Lili huddled inside, trembling.

There was someone knocking on the door.

The person knocking on the door was naturally Wu Yin; there was no one else.

"Xiao Zheng, open the door, let's go in and sit down."

Xue Rui's eyes, hidden by the brim of his hat, were fixed on the closed door, but he did not respond.

Wu Yin didn't seem to be planning to force his way in, but Xue Rui wasn't sure. His hands were inside his coat; if Wu Yin really intended to break in, his dagger could come in handy.

However, it seems that Wu Yin has no intention of forcing his way in.

Then Zhou Xuan's voice came through, "Lili, can you persuade Xiao Zheng to open the door? We asked the village chief before, and he said that if the guest rooms are too crowded, we can stay in other guest rooms."

Liu Lili's first thought was that she didn't believe they were lying. Her second thought was that even if they could stay, the village chief might not mean to live together, but rather to take their place.

Do you really think she's stupid?

Yesterday, Zhou Xuan climbed up to Wu Yin and kicked her out, leaving her to stay in this guest room. She already knew Zhou Xuan's true colors. Although this guest room was a bit scary, at least she had somewhere to stay!
