Chapter 25 [Please Add to Favorites]

Having received no answer from Lin Leyou, Wu Yin didn't press the matter further. He picked up his things and walked out, opening a bottle of wine as he went and taking large gulps of it.

If you keep drinking at this rate, you'll finish the two bottles quickly, and maybe you'll come back to buy more in half an hour.

Xue Rui waited until he was completely out of sight before opening the door to the other side of the room. "Boss..."

Lin Leyou didn't even turn his head, "Hmm?"

Xue Rui, "The two people who shared a room with him yesterday died, but he's alive and well. Does the boss know what happened?"

Lin Leyou: "Perhaps it was well hidden?"

Xue Rui, “…”

Yeah?

Lin Leyou said, "If you want to know, go ask them yourself."

Xue Rui paused for a moment, then shook his head, "Never mind."

Lin Leyou, "Why?"

Xue Rui, "My relationship with him isn't very good..."

Lin Leyou, "By the way, he called you Xiao Zheng?"

Xue Rui: "Yes, I am Zheng Li."

Lin Leyou chuckled inwardly. Sure enough, they were using a fake name. Those who use their real names are either naive or stupid.

However, my situation is different... so it doesn't matter whether I use my real name or a pseudonym.

As Wu Yin walked back to the farmhouse, he looked at the guest room that had collapsed the day before with a lot of trouble. This was bad; the lock on the door of the guest room that had been abandoned yesterday was broken, so the door could not be closed at night.

Fortunately, the facilities in the room were still usable, and he had a place to take a shower, otherwise he would be covered in dirt.

I was lucky last night, but I won't be so lucky tonight.

He was faced with only two options: first, to find Xue Rui and ask him how he had survived the previous night safely, and then follow his example; second, to kill someone now and take over his guest room for the night.

But it wasn't as simple as he thought; after all, it involved murder, and he'd never killed anyone in his life before...

Although he took action against Xue Rui last night, he didn't intend to kill Zheng Li. Once some things are started, there's no stopping them.

Wu Yin stared at the tightly closed doors and windows of the guest rooms, and sneered, "Ha! I just want to survive, but don't blame me, whoever gets out first, I'll kill..."

He didn't stand in a conspicuous place, but instead found a secluded corner to hide in. He simply didn't believe that these people wouldn't go out until 10 p.m.

Anyway, as long as one of them comes out, I can find a chance to kill him, so that he can survive tonight.

All day long, even when the middle-aged man brought lunch, no one came out. The food sat there until it got cold, but no one came to eat it.

As evening approached, the middle-aged man came again to take the things away and left his dinner. The three meals a day were very meager, and everyone bought food at the convenience store, so no one came out to eat.

Wu Yin patiently waited until the sun began to set, and finally someone couldn't resist coming out of the guest room.

Only one person came out. He looked furtive, glancing around. Perhaps he didn't see any danger, so he relaxed a lot, but he still ran forward as fast as he could.

At that moment, the villagers were preparing their dinner, and he was heading in that direction, but unfortunately...

He had just found a secluded spot where he could observe all the villagers when someone from behind covered his mouth and slit his throat with a knife.

Wu Yin watched with a smile as he slowly collapsed to the ground, clutching his bleeding neck, and watched him gradually stop breathing.

He ignored the corpse and turned to leave. But as he turned, he suddenly saw a very familiar figure in the area where the villagers were gathered!

It's Xue Rui over there.

Xue Rui was sitting with a smile next to the shop owner, chatting and laughing with several villagers nearby, as if he had completely integrated into the village.

Seeing this, Wu Yin suddenly felt that he knew how Xue Rui had gotten through the night safely.

Of course, he has no evidence and cannot be certain.

To be honest, it was still early. Wu Yin thought for a moment and decided to stay and observe the situation. Squatting here was a bit tiring, so he casually sat on the corpse of the man he had just killed and leisurely observed.

He was initially a little nervous, after all, it was his first time killing someone, but after actually doing it, he found it to be really simple, nothing special, and not worth worrying about for so long.

Killing him is quite simple.

Moreover, killing someone in this place doesn't seem to make any sense; there's no fear of being caught and sentenced to death.

Lin Leyou was watching the villagers prepare food and occasionally exchanging a few words with Xue Rui when, for some reason, he suddenly felt as if someone was looking at him with unfriendly eyes.

Xue Rui: "What's wrong, boss?"

Lin Leyou touched his chin. "I keep feeling like someone's watching me. Is it just my imagination?"

Xue Rui, “…”

Grandma Cao, who was sitting to the side, said, "There are people over there. They look like guests from the farmhouse. Do they want to come and eat too?"

Xue Rui: "But there are no seats left."

Grandma Cao said, "Yes, there really are no seats left, and the village chief didn't add any more seats for them."

Lin Leyou said, "After all, they are not villagers, so it's normal for the village chief not to take it seriously."

Grandma Cao: "Isn't that right?"

Her son was a villager, but he always clashed with the village chief, which worried her to death. Fortunately, her mentally challenged son wasn't really mentally challenged and wouldn't break the village rules.

Xue Rui was wondering who was secretly watching them. It must be Wu Yin, since everyone else should be staying quietly in their rooms and not going out.

Song Ying did not appear at tonight's banquet; they started their meal automatically when the time was up.

Lin Leyou didn't know where all these ingredients came from, but he wouldn't investigate too much. There would always be a way to get them in. After all, Shangyu Village was just a small village. There were many other villages and towns outside, as well as a very large and prosperous Endless City.

These ingredients must have been ordered from outside.

After finishing their meal, Lin Leyou led Xue Rui back home, but unexpectedly ran into Wu Yin on the way.

Wu Yin's gaze swept past Lin Leyou and landed on Xue Rui.

"So that's how it is, Xiao Zheng. No wonder you survived."

Xue Rui frowned slightly, but didn't say anything. Instead, he followed Lin Leyou forward.

Wu Yin suddenly smiled and said, "Boss, I wonder if you could take me in?"

Lin Leyou smiled at him, "Oh dear, you're late. I'm already full. Why don't you try asking around at another place?"

Wu Yin blinked. "Are there no seats left?"

Lin Leyou: "Yes."

Wu Yin: "Thank you, boss. I'll go ask around at other places."
