Chapter 33 [Please Add to Favorites]

As Zhou Meijuan spoke, she observed Lin Leyou's expression.

Seeing that he didn't seem so angry, she continued, "Hey... I know you're not happy about it. A lot of your classmates from high school are going to college, right? Even those whose grades weren't as good as yours are going, right? You're feeling a bit left out, aren't you?"

Lin Leyou remained silent.

But Lin Jiasen was very eloquent: "Look how carefree other people are, that's because they either have good grades or their families are rich. But you know your family's situation, there's no way they can afford to send you to university."

"You're eighteen now, a grown man. It's time to think about your family. After all, you'll have a younger brother or sister to support in the future."

Lin Leyou didn't understand why, if the family had no money and couldn't afford to raise a second child, they insisted on having one.

Is it because he has an older brother who is already an adult? But he also longs to have a life of his own.

Lin Jiasen kept rambling on and on, but Lin Leyou was so distracted that he didn't hear a word he said.

"The car is here, let's go."

Since their town was the starting point, after everyone got off the bus and got back on, they could find any seat they wanted. Lin Leyou sat in the seat closest to the door, while Lin Jiasen chose to sit in the window seat inside his own seat.

After waiting for a while, it was almost time to depart. The seats in the car were already half full, so Lin Jiasen opened the window next to him a crack to let in some fresh air.

"Leyou, give me your ID card, and I'll help you register later."

Lin Leyou said, "I'll give it to you when I get there; it's easy to lose it on the bus."

Lin Jiasen thought about it and agreed. There are still a lot of pickpockets out there. Although an ID card isn't money, it might still be stolen without warning.

"Okay, then remember to find it for me when we get there."

Lin Leyou: "Okay, I understand."

The bus started slowly and gradually accelerated. The distance from this town to the city was still quite far. If the bus made too many stops, it might take an hour and a half to get there.

Lin Jiasen found a comfortable position for himself and said, "Leyou, we're going to the final stop. Remember to wake me when we get there. I didn't sleep well last night, so now... ha... I'm going to take a nap now."

He yawned as he spoke.

Lin Leyou: "No problem, I'll call you when we get there."

Lin Jiasen probably didn't sleep well last night. The car swayed and bumped as it drove forward, and Lin Jiasen fell asleep in less than ten minutes. You could even hear his snoring if you got close.

Lin Leyou blinked, not moving around now, because there were too few people on the bus...

When the bus had traveled halfway through its journey, the aisle was already filled with many people. Although it wasn't very crowded, the number was about right.

He glanced very discreetly at Lin Jiasen sitting next to him. Lin was not only snoring, but even drooling, clearly sleeping soundly. It seemed that he hadn't slept well last night.

Lin Leyou seized the opportunity and, as the bus swayed and came to a stop at the station, quickly got up and was the first to get off. But the moment he stood up, the empty seat was snatched up by the passenger standing next to him in less than a second.

Lin Jiasen, who was sleeping by the window, was completely unaware and continued to sleep soundly.

Lin Leyou stood on the platform watching the bus slowly start and then gradually disappear into the distance. Only then did he breathe a sigh of relief.

Lin Leyou looked around. The platform was surrounded by greenery, and there were large factories on both sides of the road. It was early morning and he could see many people going to work.

Those who had just gotten off the bus with him started walking towards their factories. After walking around for a while, Lin Leyou successfully found a taxi, which happened to be empty.

He waved, and a taxi stopped in front of him. Lin Leyou opened the door and got in. "Driver, to the train station."

"Okay."

The taxi was fast. Lin Leyou paid and got out of the car, slowly walked into the train station, found an empty seat in the ticket hall, and sat down. He needed to decide where he wanted to go in the shortest amount of time.

After much thought, he decided to go to the provincial capital for the time being. He didn't have much money on him right now, so he couldn't go too far. Although he had 10 points, if he converted them into money, he could have 100,000.

But all of that is only a little over 130,000, which doesn't mean much to him right now, and points are much harder to acquire than money.

Moreover, Lin Leyou had no intention of using points to exchange for funds.

He immediately bought a high-speed rail ticket to the provincial capital, H City. It was very cheap, only thirty or forty yuan. But that makes sense, since it's quite close to H City, only a few dozen kilometers away.

Although it's not too far from home, even if they knew I was in the provincial capital, would they still come to the provincial capital to find me?

The provincial capital is so big, even if they mobilized their whole family, they would never be able to find him.

Lin Leyou bought the nearest high-speed rail ticket, and it was almost time to board. Just as he boarded the high-speed rail, Lin Jiasen's bus also arrived at its final stop.

Everyone else got off the bus, leaving only him sleeping. The driver was about to get off to rest, but when he was about to close the door, he discovered that there was still someone sleeping on the bus.

"Hey! Wake up!!"

He called out twice but got no response, and could clearly hear snoring. The driver was a little helpless, so he got up and shook the person awake, "Wake up, we've arrived at the final stop!"

Lin Jiasen then woke up, "Huh?"

He rubbed his eyes. "Have we arrived?"

Driver: "We've arrived, get out of the car now."

Lin Jiasen got off the car in a daze. It wasn't until the driver closed the door and left that he realized, somewhat belatedly, that he had asked Lin Leyou to wake him up after they reached the final stop.

What happened? Where is Lin Leyou?

He then realized that Lin Leyou was missing. Instantly, all his drowsiness vanished, and he began searching for Zhao Qu, calling out loudly as he went, "Leyou! Leyou!"

Just then, someone passed by him and, seeing how anxious he looked, asked, "Uncle, what's wrong?"

Lin Jiasen: "My nephew is missing!"

"Your nephew? The young man who sat next to you when you were sleeping?"

Lin Jiasen: "You know? Did you see where he went?"

"I saw it. He got off halfway, and I took his seat. Otherwise, I would have known you. What? Didn't he tell you?"

Lin Jiasen was stunned for a moment, then slapped his thigh, "Damn it, that kid got away!"

"They ran away?"

“This kid just graduated from high school. He didn’t do well in school and wanted to go out and work with me, but he ran away halfway through.”

"Really?" The passerby muttered and walked away. Oh, so that's how it is. She's definitely a spoiled brat who's been pampered by her family. She can't handle hardship. She probably stole some money from home before sneaking off.

But that had nothing to do with him. He left quickly, leaving Lin Jiasen anxiously pacing around in circles.
