Chapter 606 [(*^▽^*)]

Chapter 606 [(*^▽^*)]

Lin Leyou paused for a moment, then shook his head. "It's nothing, it's all in the past."

Xue Rui, "About the past?"

Lin Leyou, "Yes, before..."

Seeing his hesitant expression, Xue Rui didn't press him, "It's alright, no need to say anything..."

Lin Leyou sighed, "Well, I really didn't want to talk about it. It's not a good thing, but I've already taken care of it, so don't worry."

Xue Rui: "Okay."

The two slowly walked downstairs, with Lin Leyou constantly making sure Xue Rui didn't walk backwards.

When they arrived at the night market, it was still bustling with people. There were residential buildings nearby, wouldn't it be noisy?

Lin Leyou touched his ring. "I wonder what this ninth rule is. Everyone else besides the five hundred participants should know, right? Should we ask them?"

Xue Rui shook his head. "It's best not to."

If it's that simple, this instance world probably won't be a 3S difficulty level. Could the ninth rule mean that you can't ask others any questions about the rules?

Lin Leyou: "Okay... Shall we go somewhere else for a walk?"

There are too many people here; it's not a good place for them to take a walk.

Moreover, they now need to explore Lin Leyou's unknown death rule, and it would be difficult to move around in crowded places. Fortunately, there is an open park and a lake near this community.

They can go over there for a short walk and try out some moves they haven't done before.

Just as they were about to leave the street, two people ran up from the front. They were panicked and looked terrified, glancing back every now and then as if to make sure that nothing was chasing them.

They ran up to the two men, and perhaps noticing the large number of people around, or perhaps seeing that nothing was following them, they squatted down and started panting heavily.

Lin Leyou and Xue Rui exchanged a glance, then held hands and prepared to walk towards the park, the same direction they had just run from.

They were resting and catching their breath, their hands on their knees. They had probably relaxed a bit and were now calmer when they saw someone heading that way and called out to them anxiously.

"Hey, are you guys crazy? You can't go over there!"

Xue Rui stood still, and Lin Leyou turned to look at him. "Why can't we go? I see there are quite a lot of people over there. Didn't you just come back from your night run?"

The two paused slightly, then looked in the direction from which they had been running, and what they saw left them dumbfounded.

Because that area is a park, even though it's late at night, there are many people strolling around there. It looks like there are a lot of people around, and it certainly doesn't seem dangerous.

"How could this happen? I just saw..."

Lin Leyou asked in confusion, "What did you see? Did you see a ghost?"

They exchanged a glance, then smiled somewhat awkwardly. "No, no, we must have mistaken you."

Lin Leyou still found it strange. "Did you see wrong? What did you see? Tell me."

They didn't know what to say. "It's just...it feels a bit dangerous. Why don't you go for a walk somewhere else? There are a lot of people over there, so it might not be suitable."

Lin Leyou noticed them glancing at the hands they were holding, then smiled and said, "It's okay, we're just taking a walk, we won't go far. You're here to eat at the night market, right? You look so tired, here, these are for you, help yourselves, it's on me!"

After saying that, he handed the things in his hand to one of them, who subconsciously took them. Then Lin Leyou pulled Xue Rui's hand and walked forward. Before long, the two of them were far away.

Holding the food in his hands, the man hadn't quite reacted yet, and the person standing next to him subconsciously remarked, "This guy's quite polite; he's probably thanking us for what we just said..."

Before he could finish speaking, he slapped the package of food out of the other person's hand. The package flew through the air in an arc before landing on the ground with a thud.

And just like that, the outer packaging was smashed, the contents inside exploded on the ground, and the once clean ground became filthy.

"Holy crap! You forgot you can't just eat food given to you by strangers!"

The person who had just received the food was also taken aback for a moment, "I haven't eaten yet, so it should be okay, right? The rule says I can't eat it, and I haven't eaten yet!"

"It should be fine, as long as you didn't eat it. Remember this, and never do it again. You almost got caught. Those two guys were no good."

Just then, a person dressed in red appeared beside them without them noticing.

"Hey, what are you two doing here?!"

The two turned around and saw the person behind them, dressed in red.

They were all stunned for a moment, then shook their heads in bewilderment, "No, we didn't do anything."

The woman in red was in her thirties or forties. She was holding a flashlight and looked like a manager patrolling the area. "Are you lying through your teeth? I saw it with my own eyes, how could it be false? You've made a mess of this place, hurry up and clean it up!"

They then realized what the man in red was talking about—the food that had been slapped away and fallen to the ground, making a mess of the floor.

Although this is located at the corner of the night market, all the trash was neatly cleaned up, and the ground was spotless.

This makes it seem like they just made a lot of dirt.

"Clean this up right now, or I'll deal with you!"

They wanted to argue further, since according to the rules, the person in red was someone they could call for help if they were in danger, and shouldn't be the one to kill them.

"This thing doesn't belong to us; it belongs to those two people from earlier."

The man in red ignored their excuses and became furious, his face turning red with anger. "Fine! I saw it with my own eyes, and you still want to shift the blame onto others? Since you don't want to clean this place up, then I'll clean it up for you!"

The two saw the man in red's face twist and contort, which, combined with the light shining from afar, made him appear even more sinister, especially...

For some reason, the noise coming from the night market in the distance suddenly seemed distant and distorted. Only then did they realize that they were doomed.

"No, no, no, we'll clean it up right now, and we'll make sure it's spotless, without leaving a single trace!"

But by this time, the man in red had become completely enraged and wouldn't listen to them at all. He kept muttering to himself about cleaning up and cleaning up, and his twisted and ferocious face became even more terrifying.

Seeing that things were not going well, the two turned around and tried to run away, but it was not that simple. Although they were fast and ran in different directions, and even took out props from their backpacks, they were still caught by the man in red, one in each hand. They tried to resist, but something invisible was stopping them.

The woman in red looked at the two corpses in her hands, and only after confirming that they were dead did she return to her original appearance, her face and eyes becoming clear and kind.

"Clean this up... These two pieces of trash don't deserve to be here."

She continued walking forward with the two corpses, then turned into a dark, narrow alley and disappeared. But less than two minutes later, she came out again, the two corpses gone, replaced by some cleaning tools.

Lin Leyou and Ming Fanxing walked over at that moment. Lin Leyou smiled and said, "Hello."

The man in red glanced at them. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

Lin Leyou said, "It's alright. You still have work to do, so we can't delay things. Leave this to us."

The man in red paused for a moment, then looked at them carefully for a while before revealing a happy smile. "What good kids! Completely different from those two scoundrels from before. Honestly, there were clear rules against littering, yet they didn't follow them..."

"You two are the best! You're both young and clean, and you're always willing to help others. If anyone ever dares to bully you, come find me. I patrol this area around the park and night market. Come find me, and I'll definitely stand up for you!"

Lin Leyou took the cleaning tools from her hands, "No problem, I'll definitely come to you if I need anything!"

The man in red said, "Once you've cleaned up, just put the things next to the trash can. I'll take them back when I come back."

After saying that, she left with a smile, seemingly to patrol elsewhere. Lin Leyou and Xue Rui then used the tools to clean up the mess on the ground.

Finally, I wiped the floor with a cloth. I thought the wiped area would be cleaner than the rest of the floor, but to my surprise, the floor was not much different from the surrounding area. This shows just how clean the floor was.

They neatly placed the tools next to the trash can, and then Lin Leyou touched the ring and quietly told Xue Rui, "I received a system notification that I successfully used the rules to kill two people."

Xue Rui paused slightly, then slowly moved his hand forward. "This violation is..."

Lin Leyou thought for a moment, "Do you remember what that man in red said just now?"

Xue Rui: "I remember, they said they broke the rules. Did they mean littering or angering the men in red?"

Lin Leyou said, "Look at the environment outside. I didn't realize it before, but look at it now."

Xue Rui thought of the ground they had just wiped carefully with a wet cloth. This was on the sidewalk next to the main road outside. After wiping it like that, it was almost as clean as the surrounding areas that hadn't been wiped. This showed just how clean the outside was.

"It's nighttime now, and it's quite dark everywhere, so I didn't notice anything, but..."

Lin Leyou: "Now you've noticed, haven't you? I felt something was off from the moment I stepped outside, and now I realize that it's because it's too clean."
