Chapter 26 Su Jin is an outsider

Su Jinxia and Yang Jiaoruo were at each other's throats, and Shen Xi tried to interject several times but couldn't get a word in edgewise.

Yang Jiaoruo shook her head, not wanting to argue with Su Jinxia anymore, and turned to Shen Qianxue, saying, "This Su Jinxia is so eloquent and flattering. No matter what I say, she can refute it. How can anyone trust someone like that?"

Su Jin scoffed and looked at Shen Qianxue, "Am I supposed to just stay silent and let people slander me?"

Everyone looked at Shen Qianxue. Everything that needed to be said had been said, and the judgment was still up to Shen Qianxue.

The rain continued to pour down, as if vying to drown out the noise inside the house.

Shen Qianxue's eyes held a gloom thicker than dark clouds, her thin lips were tightly pressed together, and the coldness in her eyes was comparable to frost.

Su Jinxia was so focused on arguing that she didn't notice anything.

She panicked for a moment; she couldn't understand the meaning in Shen Qianxue's eyes—whether she believed her or not.

Shen Qianxue remained silent for a long time.

Su Jin was becoming increasingly uncertain.

In contrast, Yang Jiaoruo became more and more confident.

Silence means doubt!

Su Jin looked around, then at Shen Qianxue, and suddenly realized that she was the outsider.

Yang Jiaoruo and Shen Qianxue grew up together and knew each other very well. Their affection was deep, and Shen Qianxue entrusted her with important tasks, which was an act of utmost trust.

I am just an outsider who has only known him for a little over a month.

What can we use to fight?

Su Jin chuckled self-deprecatingly, "I was naive. You wanted to take me home, so I thought this really was my home."

Shen Qianxue remained silent, as if he had never said those words.

Su Jin gritted her teeth, her eyes gradually reddening.

"I don't care at all! I can live just fine without Phoenix Pavilion!"

"If you don't believe me, I'll just leave!"

Su Jin rushed out the door.

The wind and rain poured in, and books and utensils flew everywhere, but no one dared to close the door again.

Su Jin thought to herself: This move of hers is called retreating to advance. As long as Shen Qianxue catches up, she will have a chance to stay.

But why are my eyes throbbing and my vision completely blurred?

It must be raining, yes, it's raining too hard!

If he doesn't come looking for me, then... then I'll just leave him!

I ran all the way to the gate, where the guards stood ramrod straight.

"Miss Su, why did you come in such heavy rain?"

"I'm leaving!" Su Jin's voice was hoarse.

The two guards exchanged a glance. "This... without the master's orders and mission, as a disciple of the group, you cannot leave at will."

"I'm leaving! I'm no longer a member of your Phoenix Pavilion!" Su Jin was furious. Why were even two guards bullying her?

The guard, forcing a smile, said, "It's our duty, young lady, please don't make things difficult for us."

Su Jin stomped her feet in anger, but there was nothing she could do about the two guards, so she had no choice but to turn around and leave.

A moment later, a shadowy figure appeared before the guards; it was the secret guard stationed at the mountain gate.

He said, "Su Jin turned around and took the small path into the mountain-protecting formation!"

The guards were greatly alarmed, and one of them said, "I will go and report to the lord."

The guard jogged into Shen Qianxue's courtyard and saw from afar that the study door was wide open, with Shen Xi and Yang Jiaoruo standing there motionless, drenched to the bone by the rain that had blown in.

The guard walked nervously to the door, and Shen Xi glanced at him and asked, "What's wrong?"

The guard hurriedly said, "Miss Su wanted to leave the mountain, but we didn't let her. Then she entered the protective formation through a side path."

The mountain-protecting formation is divided into several areas.

Shen Xi hurriedly asked, "Which direction?"

"They must have entered the White Tiger Forest!"

The guard had barely finished speaking when he felt a gust of wind blow by.

Shen Qianxue's figure had already left the courtyard.

In the White Tiger Forest, Shen Qianxue first summoned two white tigers, and then followed them to quickly find Su Jin, who was crouching in a tree.

Seeing that Su Jin was safe and sound, he finally felt a little relieved.

"Didn't anyone tell you that you shouldn't take shelter in trees during a thunderstorm?"

You'll get struck by lightning...

"Nobody told me there were tigers here!"

Su Jinxia has really gone too far!

What a lousy place! I was chased into a tree by a tiger as soon as I walked in.

Seeing her pitiful appearance, Shen Qianxue couldn't help but want to laugh, but dared not show it. She twitched her lips and said, "Come down quickly."

Su Jin was still angry. She turned her face away and said firmly, "I have decided to leave. Whether I live or die is none of your business."

"Crack!" A bolt of lightning struck.

Both of them were shocked; this... could really kill someone.

But Su Jin was caught in a dilemma, and she stubbornly suppressed her panic and refused to get off.

Shen Qianxue didn't dare to risk her life. She wiped the rain off her face and threatened coldly, "If you don't come down yourself, I'll go up and drag you down myself!"

Su Jin down...

"Go down then!"

It's not worth losing your life here!

Su Jin muttered to herself as she climbed down, her mind elsewhere, and she accidentally stepped into thin air.

"ah!"

The rain was too heavy. Shen Qianxue bent down and shook the water off her face, then heard a cry of pain...

Su Jin fell heavily to the ground, her buttocks going numb.

"Are you... alright...?"

Shen Qianxue quickly went up to help Su Jin down.

Su Jin felt extremely embarrassed. She slapped Shen Qianxue's hand away, stood up by leaning against the tree trunk, and glared at the two white tigers that now looked extremely docile.

Shen Qianxue awkwardly withdrew her hand, her tone becoming much gentler, "There's a formation here, follow my footsteps."

Su Jinxia remained silent and did not look at him.

Shen Qianxue had no choice but to walk ahead on her own.

Su Jin followed behind, limping, and returned to the road leading out of the mountain gate.
