Chapter 276 Shen Qianxue is missing

Su Jin looked down at the nun and asked softly, "Where is Qianxue?"

The nun's originally happy face froze instantly.

Su Jin immediately sensed something was wrong, knelt up abruptly, grabbed the nun's hand, and asked anxiously, "Where is Qianxue?"

The nun pursed her lips, swallowing the bitterness in her heart. "We don't know either. After he went to find Qu Yi, he never came back."

Seven whole days were unsettling.

Recalling the way Shen Qianxue died in that dream, Su Jin felt a deep unease welling up inside her.

"I'll go find it!" Su Jin stood up and was about to go look for it.

Su Hu quickly stopped Su Jin, "Don't worry, the disciples of Phoenix Pavilion have all gone to look for you, you'll be fine. You just woke up, let the nun check on you first."

Su Jin took a deep breath to calm herself down. She thought for a moment and then said, "I'm fine now, I'm not impulsive. Let's head out of the forest first, see the nun off, and then look for any marks left by Phoenix Pavilion along the way."

As long as Su Jin remained calm, Su Hu was at ease.

Su Hu nodded and said, "Okay."

Su Jin helped the nun up. Although the nun didn't say anything, Su Jin could tell that the nun was more afraid than anyone else at this moment.

Su Jin patted the nun's hand and gently comforted her, "I will definitely find him safely."

With tears in her eyes, the nun nodded gently.

Su Jin took another deep breath, her gaze hardening, and commanded, "Form ranks and move out!"

After several days of living there, everyone had become quite familiar with the forest environment. In addition, the disciples of the Liuli Society had the Zigu (a type of magical insect) to deter beasts, so the journey was relatively smooth. They encountered some minor dangers occasionally, but they all passed through them safely.

Although Su Jinxia lost the power of the Gu Mother, she still possessed internal energy. Without the Gu Mother's restraint, she was actually much stronger than when she arrived.

Although Su Hu repeatedly told Su Jinxia that she had just recovered and should not use violence or overexert herself, Su Jinxia ignored him.

You should know that after being unable to take care of herself for more than half a year, Su Jin was almost suffocating from sexual frustration.

Su Jin found the mark left by the Phoenix Pavilion disciples, which indicated that they had left the forest.

Su Jin felt a little strange.

If the older brothers hadn't found Shen Qianxue, they would never have left on their own.

If they find Shen Qianxue, she probably won't abandon her and leave alone.

Regardless, Su Jinxia still had to go outside the woods to confirm.

So the group sped up their pace and finally left the forest two days later.

Horses and carriages remained outside the forest, though fewer than when they arrived, indicating that the disciples of Phoenix Pavilion had indeed left.

Su Jin's doubts deepened.

The group hurried back to town and arrived at the small courtyard where they had previously lived.

As soon as Su Jin got off the carriage, she saw Fu Gang and Li Hei walking out of the courtyard gate.

"Little..." Li Hei stepped forward excitedly, but stopped himself from saying "Little" and asked politely, "Is Master Liuli alright now?"

Su Jin was speechless for a moment. She jumped off the carriage and walked up to Fu Gang and Li Hei, and hurriedly asked, "Why did you come back first? Did you find Qianxue?"

Li Hei pursed his lips and glanced at Fu Gang.

Fu Gang then said, "We found him, but the young master didn't come back with us. Didn't he go looking for you?"

Su Jin's brows furrowed even deeper. "No, what exactly happened? What did he tell you?"

Fu Gang and Li Hei also looked puzzled. "We were also very surprised. When the young master didn't come back with the nun, we asked him and found out that he had gone to find Qu Yi again. We were worried, so we went to find him. We found him not long after, but strangely, he told us to come out first, without telling us the reason."

The nun stepped forward and said, "It is indeed strange. When Qianxue brought us here to find Su Jin, he said from afar that he was going to find Qu Yi. I was wondering why he didn't go to see A Jin when he was already right in front of us?"

Su Jin's heart sank. In other words, Shen Qianxue hadn't encountered any danger; he had chosen to leave on his own.

Why? Don't you want to see me?

Su Jin clenched her small hands, her unease growing stronger.

"What about Qu Yi? Has he returned?"

Fu Gang shook his head. "No."

Su Jin bit her lip, truly unable to guess Shen Qianxue's thoughts.

"Regardless, let everyone go in and rest before making any plans," Su Hu suggested.

After ten days of arduous travel, not only the nun but even the disciples could no longer endure it.

Su Jin nodded and made the arrangements, telling everyone to get some rest.

At night, Su Jin tossed and turned in bed, unable to understand Shen Qianxue's thoughts.

After thinking it over, I feel there is only one possibility: Shen Qianxue doesn't want to see me.

Were all those things Shen Qianxue said before, about not loving him anymore, true?

So Shen Qianxue didn't want to get entangled with him, and simply stopped showing her face!

Su Jinxia started to feel insecure again.

But then I thought about it again. In the forest, he protected me, carried me on his back, sucked out my poisonous blood, and braved hardships and dangers to take me to the withered tree. What did that matter?

Su Jinxia couldn't believe that Shen Qianxue was truly heartless towards her!

Besides, can Shen Qianxue hide forever? Unless he resigns from being the Phoenix Lord!

Su Jin suddenly sat up.

Yes, running away isn't in Shen Qianxue's nature! Could there be some inside story she doesn't know?

Suddenly, hurried footsteps came from outside the door, followed by a knock on Su Jin's door.

"Little sister, are you asleep?"

It was Fu Gang's voice.

What is Fu Gang doing here so late?

Su Jin's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly got out of bed to open the door. "What's wrong?"

Fu Gang's eyes were fixed on him as he said, "Qu Yi is back!"

"He came back alone?"

"Yes." Fu Gang nodded.

"What did he say?" Su Jin asked, pressing for an answer.

Fu Gang looked troubled, his confusion and bewilderment evident on his face.

"Qu Yi was very strange. He asked us a lot of questions about the young master. Obviously, he had never seen the young master either, let alone knew where the young master had gone. But when he heard that the young master had left alone, he seemed very anxious and turned around to look for him."

Fu Gang took a deep breath. "I felt that Qu Yi knew something, so I had the other disciples surround him and prevent him from leaving. We're at a stalemate now, so I came to tell you. I wanted to see if you wanted to go see him."

After hearing these words, Su Jinxia ran out without saying a word.

The two walked to the front hall.

The commotion in the front hall was quite loud, waking up Su Hu, who had arrived even earlier than Su Jinxia.

"Get out of my way! Otherwise, don't blame me for being impolite!" Qu Yi said angrily, but he hadn't made a move yet because they were fellow disciples.

Liu Da and Li Hei blocked the way, and Li Hei bluntly asked, "What's the matter? Do you know why the young master left? Where is he? Tell me and we'll go find him together!"

Qu Yi remained silent and did not answer Li Hei's question, but his expression was extremely unpleasant.
