Chapter 3: Su Jin, the Lifesaver (Part 2)

In her previous life, Su Jinxia lost all power after the conference, and Nie Qingyi stepped forward to take control. In order to consolidate her position, she mobilized the elite forces of the Liuli Society and assassinated the Phoenix Lord half a month later, successfully seriously injuring Shen Qianxue.

Although things have changed, even after Su Jinxia's departure, Nie Qingyi will still seize the time to consolidate her position, and her actions are very likely to continue.

The secret treasure is in Phoenix Pavilion. If Su Jinxia can save Shen Qianxue in this operation, he will not only get closer to Shen Qianxue, but also have a chance to get close to Phoenix Pavilion and retrieve the secret treasure.

This can be described as killing two birds with one stone.

However, before that, Su Jin had another important matter to attend to.

Detoxify!

The poison Su Jin was given was called the Forget-Me-Not Poison, and its greatest effect was to counteract the power of the Glass Gu Mother.

Without strength, everything is just empty talk, so detoxification is the key.

In her previous life, before Su Jin was made into a raw material for refining the elixir of immortality, she was cured of poison by Nie Qingyi.

Because the detoxification process was divided into twelve sessions and lasted for a year, Su Jinxia gradually learned the formula for the detoxification.

Half a month is enough time for Su Jin to brew the first antidote, and the Gu Mother's power will gradually recover as the poison is detoxified.

Ten days later, Su Jin successfully found all the medicinal herbs and prepared the antidote.

Over the next two days, the first layer of power of the Gu Mother gradually manifested.

Her bones and tendons seemed to have been tempered, brimming with power; she could easily crush a water glass in her hand if she wasn't careful.

With the assassination time fast approaching, Su Jin dared not delay and rushed to the assassination site.

The cliffs in Xiangfeng Valley.

Su Jinxia arrived a day early, but there were signs of a fight and fresh bloodstains on the cliff.

Nie Qingyi had boasted to Su Jinxia about the assassination attempt on Shen Qianxue for a long time, so Su Jinxia would never have misremembered the time.

But then she suddenly wondered if the time might have been brought forward.

As the saying goes, "a single hair can move the whole body," and with Su Jinxia's unexpected turn of events, it's hard to guarantee that other things won't change as well.

Just in case, Su Jin went down into the valley to search.

In her previous life, Shen Qianxue escaped from Xiangfeng Valley after falling off a cliff.

In late spring, the flowers and plants in the valley are already very lush.

Su Jin pushed aside the water plants along the riverbank and indeed found a dark figure.

Looking at that handsome face, it was indeed Shen Qianxue.

Su Jin hurriedly stepped forward, checked Shen Qianxue's breathing, and roughly examined his injuries.

Her delicate eyebrows furrowed deeply, and a hint of worry showed in her clear eyes.

"The injury was more serious than I had imagined."

Su Jinxia took out a small bottle from her bosom, poured out the only pill she had, fed it to Shen Qianxue, and then carried him to a simple wooden house not far away.

When Shen Qianxue slowly woke up, Su Jinxia had just finished treating his wounds and was dressing him again.

Their eyes met, their clothes were disheveled, and the atmosphere was somewhat awkward.

"Who are you?"

Because of her injury, Shen Qianxue's voice was somewhat hoarse, which sounded exceptionally pleasant, but her eyes were unusually wary.

Having finally saved Shen Qianxue, Su Jinxia was in a good mood and smiled.

"My name is Su Jinxia. I came to the valley to gather herbs. When I saw you were injured, I brought you here. How are you feeling now?"

Shen Qianxue frowned slightly, her eyes filled with undisguised suspicion.

"I'm asking about your identity and background!"

His tone was somewhat stern.

Having just survived an assassination attempt by a highly skilled and numerous opponent whose every move was deadly, he was forced to jump off a cliff to save his life.

Therefore, he is currently under extreme mental stress.

Su Jin pouted, looking aggrieved.

"Why are you yelling at me? I'm your savior. I gave you my most precious medicine, carried you from the riverbank to here, and bandaged your broken leg. Your blood attracted a lot of little bugs that crawled into your wound, and I picked them out one by one for you."

The girl's soft, sweet voice contrasted sharply with his sternness.

Shen Qianxue looked down at her injuries. They were indeed well bandaged, and the internal injuries did not seem to be serious.

He looked at Su Jin again; she was just a young girl.

Why did you save me?

Shen Qianxue realized her rudeness and her tone softened considerably.

Su Jinxia laughed and said, "Why do I need a reason to save you? It's the one who needs a reason to leave you to die."

Shen Qianxue sneered, "That's true, but people won't do that. They won't easily give up something that doesn't benefit them."

That's certainly true, but...

Su Jinxia moved closer to Shen Qianxue, her gaze unconsciously shifting from his handsome face to his still-open chest.

"But you're so beautiful, how could anyone bear to leave you to die?"

Shen Qianxue...

She quietly got dressed.

His speechless expression made Su Jin chuckle softly.

"Don't be afraid. You're a grown man, and you're so badly injured. I didn't even ask who you were. Wouldn't that bring me trouble? And yet, you're still worried about me. What? Are you afraid I'll turn into a monster and eat you up?"

Su Jin gritted her teeth fiercely, as if considering where to start biting.

Shen Qianxue was speechless again, rubbing her aching temples.

Su Jin could see his exhaustion.

"You sleep a little longer. There's a small stove here. I'll go fetch some spring water to boil."

With that, he picked up the small pot from the stove and ran out.

Shen Qianxue's heart eased slightly. He lay back on the hard bed and closed his eyes to rest.

After a while, the sound of running footsteps came from outside the door.

Shen Qianxue knew that Su Jin had come back, but he didn't want to pay attention to it, so he didn't open his eyes.

Su Jin entered the room and saw that Shen Qianxue was asleep. She immediately slowed her pace and tiptoed back into the room.

Shen Qianxue stiffened for a moment, and opened her eyes curiously because of Su Jin's action.
