Su Jin's lower body trembled slightly, and she felt somewhat dazed, wondering if she was hallucinating.
The person in front of her wasn't real; she had imagined it.
She was a little confused...
"Miss, I brought back some late-night snacks, have some..."
As Shen Yun entered the room, he spoke.
Then, the three of them looked at each other...
Su Jinxia was the first to react, and with a jolt, she slipped away from under Shen Qianxue.
"Um, well, I'm tired, I'm going to sleep!"
The door was slammed shut with a deafening roar. Su Jin rushed upstairs, clutching her burning head, unable to calm down for a long time.
Shen Yun lowered his head, hunched his shoulders, and tried to make himself as inconspicuous as possible before running away.
Chen Qianxue was left alone, feeling the night wind...
The night was long, and Su Jin tossed and turned, unable to sleep.
After calming down, Su Jin felt only regret!
What a great opportunity, ruined by that girl Shen Yun.
Ugh, so infuriating!
The next day, Su Jin came to the pharmacy early in the morning and asked for a bowl of refreshing soup.
Lu Ming looked Su Jin up and down, something was wrong!
But Su Jin kept her mouth shut and didn't say anything.
Suddenly, it became noisy outside.
Su Jin went out to take a look out of curiosity, and found that it was a herbalist from the foot of the mountain who had come to deliver medicine.
The herb farmer took too much, so the servant refused to accept it and told him to take it back.
The herb farmer's dark face was full of anxiety and pleading.
Su Jinxia only found out after talking to him for a couple of minutes.
Last winter was cold, and the ice grass grew very well, resulting in a bumper harvest.
However, ice plant must be refrigerated; it won't keep well when it gets hot.
This summer came early and got hot, so the herb farmers didn't have ice cellars and all their stockpiled goods couldn't be stored.
So the herbalist wanted the servant to buy more, but this ice-accumulating herb was only used to treat extreme heat syndromes and had few other uses. It was also not cheap, and there was no point in stockpiling so much stock, so the servant was unwilling to buy it.
Before Su Jin went down, she was worried about how to earn enough 1,000 taels to buy Hetian jade. She didn't expect the opportunity to come so suddenly.
Su Jinxia asked with a smile, "Uncle, can you sell your ice grass at a lower price?"
Seeing that Su Jin seemed interested in buying, the herb farmer quickly nodded, "I can give you a discount. How much do you want, young lady?"
It's better to sell it cheaply than for it to rot at home.
Su Jin raised an eyebrow slightly, "I'll take as many as you have!"
The herb farmer looked Su Jin up and down, somewhat disbelieving. "Really?"
Su Jin nodded, "That's right, as long as your price is right, I can buy them all."
The herb farmer was overjoyed. "The normal price is 1.5 jin, but if the girl wants them all, I'll sell them to her for 1 jin. But the condition is that I have dozens of jin."
"No problem!" Su Jin declared confidently.
The servant was terrified and pulled Su Jin aside, saying, "It's a hundred taels of silver; I can't make that decision."
Su Jin reassured the servant, "Don't worry, this is my personal matter and has nothing to do with the medicine shop."
The servant reminded him, "You probably can't use the ice cellar in your personal capacity. Summer is here, and the ice cellar is full. Every transaction is strictly controlled."
Su Jin hadn't thought of that.
"It's alright, I'll figure something out. By the way, is he the only herb farmer we're cooperating with?"
"There are a few more," the waiter blurted out, but quickly realized his mistake. "You don't actually want to buy more, do you? Are you crazy?!"
Su Jin smiled slightly, "Go and make the contact for me."
After agreeing on the time and place for the transaction with the herb farmer the next day, Su Jin came down to the kitchen and carefully prepared a small pot of medicinal cuisine.
Then they arrived at Shen Qianxue's courtyard.
Shen Qianxue was talking to Shen Xi in the study when Su Jin walked to the door and peeked in hesitantly.
Shen Xi was surprised by Su Jinxia's arrival, and then suddenly understood.
No wonder the young master is in a good mood today; it turns out they've made up!
They haven't found anything out yet, so how did they reach a settlement?
Su Jinxia walked in with a smile, walked up to Shen Qianxue, blinked, and said, "I made some soup, drink it while it's hot."
"It can't be a medicinal diet, can it?" Shen Xi blurted out quickly. "You poisoned one of my disciples, and now you're trying to harm the young master."
Su Jin glared at Chen Xi, saying, "If you don't speak, no one will think you're mute."
Shen Qianxue suddenly realized something: Su Jinxia couldn't cook, so...
Practice?
Thinking of this, Shen Qianxue felt inexplicably much happier.
"I'll try it," Shen Qianxue said, intrigued.
Su Jin quickly ladled out a bowl.
Shen Qianxue took a small sip and commented, "Not bad."
Although it's not quite as good as a kitchen, the thought behind it makes up for the shortcomings.
Shen Xi suddenly realized that she was falling behind again.
Su Jin smiled broadly, revealing her teeth, "For the sake of the soup, can I borrow two things from you?"
Shen Qianxue's hand froze, realizing that drinking this soup would come at a considerable price.
What do you want to borrow?
Su Jin held up three fingers, "Three hundred taels of silver and an ice cellar."
Shen Qianxue didn't understand, "What do you need this for?"
Su Jin said softly and coquettishly, "Don't worry about it, you'll find out later. I'll pay you back soon."
Shen Xi scoffed. "What a big face! He won't let me ask anything. Why should I lend it to you?"
Shen Qianxue smiled slightly; Su Jinxia's soft tone and the smile in her eyes melted his heart.
"Take this and get it from the accounting office yourself. I'll have someone put in a good word for the ice cellar."
Su Jinxia happily accepted Shen Qianxue's card.
The clown was me!
"I'm leaving." Shen Xi really couldn't stay any longer.
Shen Qianxue completely ignored Shen Xi, who had silently walked away, and looked at Su Jinxia with a half-smile, saying softly, "Not angry anymore?"
