Inside the Qiankun Palace, Su Jinxia was dozing off, her head nodding as she rested her chin on her hand.
Zhou Chen appeared to be diligently reviewing memorials at his desk, but in reality, he was secretly glancing at Su Jinxia and had barely finished reviewing any of them.
Suddenly, Su Jin lowered her eyelids and looked at him.
Zhou Chen...
"Are you ever going to finish reviewing all these memorials? I'm going back to sleep," Su Jin said irritably.
Zhou Chen then said, "Sister is sleepy, you can sleep here."
Su Jin frowned. Zhou Chen was acting increasingly strangely. Not only had he inexplicably called her over to help him review memorials, but he also wouldn't let her leave.
When Zhou Chen saw Su Jin frown, he felt guilty and looked away, burying his head in his work and staring intently at the memorial.
Suddenly, a faint commotion could be heard outside.
"What happened?" Su Jin asked, then stood up.
Zhou Chen pursed his lips and remained silent.
Su Jinxia's face darkened, and she strode out of the room.
Zhou Chen hurriedly followed.
The door opened, and the scene outside startled Su Jin.
The entire area was filled with guards.
At the end of the guards' path, there were some lights, and one could vaguely see people fighting.
Although she couldn't see the faces of those people clearly, Su Jin knew that the people she had been longing for had come to find her.
"Zhou Chen!"
Su Jin was truly angry this time.
Seeing the disappointment in Su Jin's eyes, Zhou Chen felt even more guilty, but he still forced himself to say, "Isn't he highly skilled in martial arts? If he can overcome all the obstacles and fight his way through, then I'll consider whether to approve of him being with you. Otherwise, he's not qualified to stand in front of you and me!"

Su Jinxia smiled broadly and breathed a sigh of relief.
Shen Qianxue kicked Zhou Chen into the room, then sheathed her sword, pulled Su Jin down, and hugged her.
Su Jin hugged Shen Qianxue's waist tightly and rubbed against his chest affectionately.
I really miss him.
A tear welled up in Shen Qianxue's eyes; heaven knows how much heartache he had endured these past few days.
"Are you alright? Have you been wronged?"
Su Jin shook her head and said softly, "No, I just missed you."
Shen Qianxue kissed Su Jin's hair, her eyes full of love and heartache.
As Zhou Chen lay sprawled on the ground, his fingers involuntarily curled up, his teeth clenched in hatred.
Why is he able to win his sister's love?
Seeing this, the guards drew their swords and assumed a fighting stance, but hesitated to attack.
Shen Qianxue's gentle eyes turned icy cold when she looked at the guards, startling everyone into taking a step back.
"Make those in front stop, or I'll finish Zhou Chen off with one sword!"
The guards were shocked and quickly relayed the order, telling the people fighting at the front to stop.
Zhou Chen stood up from the ground and looked at the two embracing each other, finding it extremely irritating.
"Let go of my sister!" Zhou Chen roared, his eyes red.
Shen Qianxue glanced at him sideways and snorted disdainfully, "Who gives you the right to say that? Your younger brother? Don't forget, she saved your life, not you. You have no right to interfere in her affairs, much less to meddle in our business!"
"Or perhaps you have ulterior motives?"
Zhou Chen's eyes flickered slightly, revealing his guilty conscience.
Men understand men best, and Shen Qianxue could easily see that Zhou Chen's feelings for Su Jinxia were not pure, but he dared not say it. He could only interfere in Su Jinxia's affairs in the name of his younger brother.
"I didn't," Zhou Chen weakly denied.
In fact, Zhou Chen himself didn't know what kind of feelings he had for Su Jinxia. He only knew that he wanted Su Jinxia by his side, so that he would feel at ease.

Zhou Chen froze.
Su Jin took a breath and said, "Of course I know you won't, and I also believe that Han Qing is doing well right now, because I have always believed that you are a good person, and I will not be wrong about you."
"But I have to say, you disappoint me a lot because you are still that sensitive child living in your own inner world. You are already an emperor, but you haven't grown up yet."
"Do you remember why I raised an army in the first place?"
Zhou Chen pursed his lips. Of course he remembered, it was for the people, for more people to live well.
Su Jinxia felt a pang of emotion. "I admit that everyone has selfish desires. Not everyone can sacrifice their own interests for the greater good. Even I have my own selfish motives. But you should be able to distinguish between the pros and cons."
"The people are suffering terribly and live in constant fear, yet the court has done nothing. Han Qing was your reliance and the person you trusted most, but you have imprisoned him for so many days just to satisfy your own selfish desires!"
