Chapter 31 They Kissed Each Other

The next day, Su Jin was busy in the medicine shop and ice cellar all day, and did not return to Tingyu Tower until very late.

Halfway there, the words "Sword Tomb" suddenly reached her ears.

Su Jinxia went over after hearing the noise and found several middle-aged men sitting at a table in a corner of the courtyard, secretly drinking.

What are you talking about?

Su Jinxia suddenly spoke, startling them.

"Isn't this Miss Su?"

One of the disciples, a slightly overweight man in his thirties, recognized Su Jinxia.

Su Jin was also puzzled, "You know me?"

The fat man chuckled, his face contorted with greasiness, “Miss Su is a prominent figure in our Phoenix Pavilion. I’ve caught a glimpse of her from afar.”

"And who are you?"

The group exchanged glances, somewhat hesitant, as Phoenix Pavilion did not allow its disciples to drink alcohol in private.

Su Jinxia understood what they meant and grinned, "Don't worry, I'm not one to gossip."

"And who is Miss Su?" What does she want to do?

Su Jin honestly said, "I heard you talking about the Sword Tomb and the competition, so I came to check it out out of curiosity."

The burly men exchanged glances, and the fat man spoke up: "This is top secret. If you want to know, young lady, why don't you sit down and have a couple of drinks?"

"sure."

Su Jinxia was very generous and immediately sat down to drink and chat.

After a couple of drinks, we were all good friends.

It turns out that these people were disciples of Team Nine. One of them had overheard news from the captain that Phoenix Pavilion would be holding a competition in two months.

There have been similar competitions in previous years. If grassroots disciples like those from Team Nine win, they can be promoted directly to other teams and no longer have to suffer in Team Nine.

But this time, all winners will receive an extra reward: they can go to the Sword Tomb to choose their own sword.

The Sword Tomb houses numerous famous swords, and normally no one except the Phoenix Lord is allowed to enter or leave; such opportunities are rare.

Su Jin was just worried about not being able to enter the Sword Tomb when the opportunity came, and in her joy she drank two more cups.

"Alright, I'm going back now. You guys keep drinking."

Su Jin got up, feeling a little dizzy.

The fat man was in high spirits. "It's still early. Let's have a couple more drinks. Sit down quickly."

Su Jin ignored him, waved her hand, and walked a little unsteadily, but fortunately she could still find her way.

The fat man clicked his tongue twice and said worriedly, "I hope it doesn't get bumped or scratched. I'll go and take it away."

The others chuckled and ignored it.

The fat man then quickly followed Su Jin down.

He followed behind Su Jinxia without going forward until Su Jinxia crossed the garden, then he ran a few steps to catch up and grabbed Su Jinxia.

Su Jin stared wide-eyed before she could see who it was. "Fatty? What are you doing here?"

The fat man, his face full of fat, laughed and scolded, "What fat man? Call me brother, and I'll take you to have some fun."

Su Jin's face immediately darkened. "What did you say?"

Having lived two lives, how could Su Jinxia not understand the meaning behind the fat man's words? She questioned him in a slightly cold voice, giving him a chance to speak like a human being again.

However, because it was dark and she had been drinking, Su Jin's voice was a little hoarse and sounded powerless, failing to have any intimidating effect.

The fat man was completely oblivious to the impending danger; instead, he became even more excited, reaching out to touch Su Jinxia's face while repeatedly saying, "Brother will take you to have some fun, I'll protect you..."

Before he could finish speaking, Su Jin punched the fat man so hard that his teeth loosened and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

The fat man winced in pain, and his eyes instantly flashed with a fierce light.

"If you won't listen to reason, you'll have to suffer the consequences!"

However, no sooner had he uttered those harsh words than Su Jin unleashed her second punch, angrily cursing, "Disgusting bastard, today I'll teach you a lesson!"

The fat man was furious. He wanted to fight back, but he found that Su Jin's movements were tricky, her speed was fast, and her strength was great. He couldn't fight back at all.

Before he could even think about why, he was beaten black and blue and collapsed to the ground, only able to cover his head and cry out, "Grandma, I was wrong, I was wrong, please stop hitting me."

Soon, the commotion in the garden alerted the guards around the area.

The guards were a group of disciples who had come to mediate the fight, but upon hearing Su Jin's insults, they almost went up and kicked her a couple more times.

But they soon realized something was wrong. Su Jin seemed to have lost her mind, hitting him incessantly, completely unaware that someone was coming.

They tried to break up the fight, but Su Jin didn't even recognize them and beat them all up.

The noise gradually carried away and reached Shen Qianxue's ears.

When Shen Qianxue arrived, Su Jin was exhausted from beating him and was kicking the person on the ground half-heartedly.

Shen Qianxue grabbed Su Jin and pulled her down.

Su Jin was forced to raise her head, her eyes glazed over, looking somewhat delirious. But she sniffed the air, as if she could smell a comforting scent. Suddenly, her lips trembled, and she became aggrieved. She hugged Shen Qianxue tightly and cried, "He bullied me."

Everyone...

Shen Qianxue glanced at the person on the ground and asked coldly, "What happened?"

A disciple from the first team stepped forward and reported, "It seems that this disciple from the ninth team was plotting something, so Miss Su hit him."

The fat man finally got up from the ground and said aggrievedly, "I didn't, I didn't even touch it with my finger."

"You did!" Su Jin didn't miss a single word she was supposed to hear. She peeked out from Shen Qianxue's embrace and angrily accused, "You pulled my arm, and you said those kinds of things!"

Smelling the strong smell of alcohol on Su Jinxia, Shen Qianxue's eyes darkened considerably, her gaze sharp as a knife as she stared at the fat man. "You forced her to drink?"

The fat man felt a chill run down his spine and quickly shook his head, "No, no, she wanted to drink with us herself."

Su Jin didn't refute this time, and even hid her head deeper into Chen Qianxue's embrace, which showed that she was somewhat guilty.
