Chapter 75 Choosing a Sword from the Sword Tomb

Although everyone had left, the noise in the courtyard seemed to linger.

Su Jin didn't want to stay there, so she went out and came to the medicine shop.

The medicine shop was quiet; a servant was brewing medicine for Lu Ming, and Su Jin had stopped bleeding him.

Her blood still contained the poison of the forget-me-not, and no one knew if there was any potential danger, so after Lu Ming's condition stabilized, he stopped using it on her.

It would be better to wait until the poison from the forget-me-not is completely neutralized before trying to treat him.

"Why are you here? Is there a problem with your injury?" Lu Ming was in a daze when he saw Su Jinxia and was very surprised.

Su Jinxia gently shook her head, "Chen Qianxue is busy, I'll just take a walk."

Lu Ming nodded, a worried look on his face. "It hasn't rained all summer, and the situation outside isn't good. He's really busy."

Su Jinxia naturally understood that once the war started, it was hard to say whether she would even be able to see him.

Su Jin sat down next to Lu Ming and asked in a seemingly casual tone, "When did you arrive at Phoenix Pavilion?"

Lu Ming's expression changed slightly.

You don't visit a temple without a reason; this isn't just a casual stroll.

Lu Ming sighed softly, looked out the window, and saw a sparrow stealing medicinal herbs. He said indifferently, "I came here when I was very young."

"Do you know Shen Qianxue's mother?" Su Jin licked her lips and asked cautiously.

Lu Ming said, "She is my master."

Su Jin opened her mouth in surprise; Fangfei and Luming were actually master and disciple.

"Isn't the Lu family a family of doctors? How come you would recognize Shen Qianxue's mother as your master?" This is a bit strange.

A faint sorrow appeared between Lu Ming's brows. "Becoming her disciple was something that happened after the Lu family declined."

"Oh." Seeing Lu Ming's distress, Su Jin didn't dare to delve into the Lu family's affairs and continued to focus her attention on Fang Fei. "What kind of person is she?"

"A very gentle and kind person." Lu Ming's tone lowered slightly, revealing a deep longing in his voice.

If Master were still here, everything would probably be better.

Su Jin's brows furrowed slightly, filled with curiosity and doubt.

Why would such a good person die? Why did Fang Xia say that Phoenix Pavilion forced her to die?

Lu Ming gently patted Su Jin's head, "Master's name is a taboo in Phoenix Pavilion, so don't mention it again."

ah?

Lu Ming's expression turned cold, revealing a detached indifference that suggested he had seen through the fickleness of human nature. "It's all in the past now, there's no point in saying more."

"Okay, I won't say anymore."

Su Jin slowly exhaled, thinking that the reason behind this was probably something that could not be explained to outsiders.

Since that's the case, I won't force it.

Who doesn't have secrets, things they don't want outsiders to know?

Lu Ming was in low spirits, his gaze distant, as if he were still lost in memories.

Su Jin quietly took her leave, and then went to another team to check on Zhang Qing's condition.

Zhang Qing is fine; she just needs more rest.

On the second day of the ranking competition, Su Jinxia was unable to participate due to a hand injury and came in fifth place, while Zhang Qing came in third.

That afternoon, Shen Qianxue and Shen Wenmao led the five winners into the tomb area, to the sword tomb, to choose their swords.

The Sword Tomb is located in a mountain cave, which is said to be full of traps and mechanisms; if one ventures in rashly, there will be no way out.

The group followed Shen Wenmao into the cave, where a heavy feeling immediately enveloped them.

There was a crack in the center of the cave, with a dozen or so swords without scabbards stuck in it.

On the stone walls surrounding the cave, there were also many swords and some other types of weapons.

After arriving at Phoenix Pavilion, Su Jinxia gained a certain understanding of swords and knew that every sword here was an excellent one.

"Pick whichever you like, just take it." Shen Wenmao waved his hand generously.

Su Jin glanced at the sword in the center; a secret treasure couldn't just be displayed there so casually.

She walked along the stone wall, examining every weapon and opening every box, but ultimately found no trace of the treasure.

Su Jin was a little discouraged, but thinking about it, it made sense. The secret treasure had a strong destructive power, so how could it be left here for people to choose from?

Before long, the others had chosen their swords and were admiring them with great interest and enthusiasm.

Shen Qianxue had Shen Wenmao take everyone else away, then came to Su Jinxia's side and asked softly, "Didn't you find what you were looking for?"

Su Jin was startled. "Ah... I don't really know either, I don't know which one is right for me."

Shen Qianxue smiled faintly, took Su Jinxia's hand, and led her to a stone wall, gently pressing a mechanism on the wall.

There was a door on the stone wall that slowly opened, revealing a secret room.

Su Jinxia's eyes lit up, and her heart raced. She had a premonition that the secret treasure was very likely inside.

The two entered, and each weapon was contained in an exquisite box, making it impossible to discern its purpose at first glance.

Shen Qianxue went to the platform in the center, opened an ancient box, and revealed an exquisite longsword.

Its entire body is dark black, and the scabbard is narrow and elegant, with intricate patterns carved on it and outlined with gold and silver lines, exuding understated luxury.

"How about this one?" Shen Qianxue asked.

Su Jinxia gently took out the sword, her hand gripping the hilt. It felt smooth to the touch. She gently pulled open half of the blade. Forged from black iron, it was sturdy yet thin, and its faint, cold light was awe-inspiring.

"What a fine sword!" Su Jin exclaimed sincerely.

Shen Qianxue gently closed the empty box, and Su Jin stuck out her tongue. "For me?"

"Yes, it suits you perfectly."

Su Jin was overjoyed and hugged the sword to her chest, treasuring it dearly.

However, after glancing at the other boxes, she shamelessly asked, "Can I look at the others?"
