Su Jin had to jog to keep up with his pace. The two of them went straight out of the protective mountain array and returned to Tingyu Tower.
Because of wielding a sword, a small amount of blood seeped from the cloth strip wrapped around Su Jin's palm.
Shen Qianxue pressed Su Jin down into her seat, threw the sword in her hand aside, and reapplied the medicine to her.
Seeing that Su Jin's hand injury was more serious than yesterday, Shen Qianxue's expression darkened even more.
Su Jin felt slightly guilty, so she leaned in and gave Shen Qianxue a quick kiss on the cheek.
Shen Qianxue looked up, and Su Jin smiled ingratiatingly.
"Don't give me that. Starting today, you're not allowed to use this hand," Shen Qianxue said fiercely.
Su Jin pouted and nodded reluctantly.
"How did things go yesterday?"
As Shen Qianxue re-bandaged the wound with a clean handkerchief, she said, "Aunt Fang gave some compensation to send them away, and Steward Du sent them to the disciplinary hall to be dealt with according to the rules."
Where is Maizizi?
"Sigh, she's been confined to her room to reflect on her mistakes. Hopefully, she'll be more sensible after this incident."
"Yes, we will," Su Jin said softly, trying to comfort her.
Shen Qianxue wiped away the remaining medicine on Su Jin's cheek. The wound on her face was not serious; it had already scabbed over and would heal in a few days.
Su Jin raised her face and obediently let him handle it.
After finishing, Shen Qianxue looked at Su Jinxia's obedient appearance and patted her head, "Go and rest."
His deep voice was full of doting affection, which made Su Jin feel intoxicated. She nodded vigorously and obediently got up to rest.
Suddenly, Shen Qianxue grabbed her wrist, leaned in without warning, and lightly pecked the corner of her lips twice, warning, "Don't use your hands again, I'll come to check tonight."
Su Jin's back stiffened, and she stammered, "I...I understand."
Shen Qianxue got up and left.

Su Jin smiled and said, "Rain is good. I hope this rain lasts a little longer."
Su Jin was standing on the second floor of the small building. Shen Qianxue saw that slender figure from afar. She lightly flew away with her toes and landed steadily on the eaves.
"It's late at night, why are you on the roof?"
If Shen Qianxue hadn't known that Su Jinxia already possessed thirty years of profound internal strength, she would have started to worry again.
Su Jin smoothed her wind-blown hair and tilted her head. "Waiting for you."
You said you would come.
Shen Qianxue sat down with a sense of shame. "I'm late."
Su Jin shook her head, gently leaned on Shen Qianxue's shoulder, and said softly, "I'm willing to wait however long it takes."

"What's wrong?"
Shen Qianxue sighed softly, "I'll be leaving for a while."
In the past, Shen Qianxue would leave whenever she wanted, without any hesitation. But now, because of someone's presence, she felt a deep attachment to this mountain.
Su Jinxia was not surprised. With the frequent wars, Shen Qianxue would become increasingly busy, and this was just the beginning.
"Where did the problem occur? What were you doing? Was it dangerous?" Su Jin asked three questions in quick succession.
Shen Qianxue tightened her arms, pulling Su Jinxia into her embrace.
“It’s not dangerous, you don’t need to worry. A rebel army has emerged in Qishan in the southeast and has captured three cities in a row. The imperial court has sent troops to suppress it and ordered the Seventh Prince to lead troops to assist in quelling the rebellion. I’m just going there to observe secretly.”
Shen Qianxue's explanation was simple, but Su Jin could guess most of it.
He and the Seventh Prince had become one. The Seventh Prince's actions all required his support in secret. Moreover, if the Seventh Prince wanted to raise an army, he would need men and horses, and these rebel armies were the easiest targets to win over.
Su Jin straightened up and looked at Shen Qianxue seriously, "I'll go with you."
"No!" Shen Qianxue rejected the idea without hesitation.
Su Jin said with dissatisfaction, "Why? Have you forgotten that I was the one who saved you? Don't always treat me like I'm useless."
Shen Qianxue thought about it and realized it was true. He had brought Su Jinxia back because he valued her wisdom and ability.
But recently she has been getting injured frequently...
Unconsciously, Shen Qianxue would always worry about her, afraid that she might bump into something, get too cold or too hot, eat well or sleep well.
Shen Qianxue shook her head firmly, "I know you're capable, but I can't take you this time. It's chaotic outside, anything can happen, and I don't want you to see any of that."
Su Jinxia still wanted to try, but Shen Qianxue raised her hand and gently covered Su Jinxia's mouth, whispering, "Be good."

Shen Qianxue's eyes grew even deeper, her Adam's apple bobbing slightly. She gently lifted Su Jin's chin and kissed that soft red spot.
Su Jinxia gently closed her eyes, softly collapsing into Shen Qianxue's arms like a pool of water.
The kiss was lingering and long.
The rain fell in a "drip-drip" sound. Shen Qianxue held Su Jin's hand, which was still injured.
"Let's go back." He slightly parted their lips, his voice filled with an indescribable and captivating charm.
