Chapter 13: The Young Lady's Scandal is Trending Again



Lin Xiao is Fu Yanshen's special assistant, there's nothing he doesn't know, so I don't need to hide anything from him.

"Madam, Shi Xia has been transferred to the marketing department for a week now. She requested the transfer herself, saying she didn't want to affect your relationship with President Fu."

Ha, that sounds nice.

She was clearly playing hard to get with Fu Yanshen.

No wonder he, who was always in good health, got sick.

He's gotten sick from missing his childhood sweetheart so much.

Lin Xiao left, and I went up to the third floor with my bodyguard, headed straight for the study, and knocked on the door to enter.

The moment I opened the door, my eyes lit up.

It was sunset, and the afterglow of the setting sun streamed in through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, enveloping the man sitting on the deep blue velvet sofa by the window in a layer of fine golden light.

He was dressed in white with black hair, his long legs crossed, leaning lazily against the sofa, his eyes closed as he rested.

She exuded an air of nobility and elegance that made my heart flutter.

But I snapped back to reality and pinched my palm in frustration.

He's a wolf in sheep's clothing.

"Fu Yanshen, why did you suspend my card?" I walked up to him and asked him confidently.

The man remained calm, slowly lifting his eyelids, his face expressionless.

I only just noticed that his lips were sickly pale.

“It’s my card, I can stop it whenever I want.” He finally raised an eyebrow and glanced at me.

He paused for a moment after the words were spoken.

His gaze passed over me and landed on the four bodyguards behind me.

They stood side by side in pairs, each dressed in a well-tailored bespoke suit, with pale skin and black communication devices hanging from their ears.

So cool and handsome.

He looks a lot like him back then.

I snapped out of my daze and continued arguing, "That's the card you gave me. Once you gave it to me, it's mine. What's the meaning of stopping halfway through?"

Fu Yanshen ignored me. He stood up, walked past me, and headed towards the bodyguards.

He stood two steps away, seemingly observing them, as he slowly removed his watch and casually tossed it onto the sofa.

"They're the bodyguards you hired for a multi-million dollar annual salary...?"

He turned his head to look at me and asked casually.

His face was full of disdain.
