"Did he break off his engagement with Wen Yu?" I asked Luo Luo, puzzled, after not seeing Ji Yan for several days.
Luo Luo took a sip of her drink. "No way, she's just being dramatic. Wen Yu will be here soon."
Speak of the devil and he appears.
A tall and beautiful young lady, with long, straight black hair, wearing a beige puff-sleeved shirt dress and a brown leather belt, entered the room carrying a handbag.
A graceful and poised smile played on her lips.
Seeing Ji Yan with women on either side of her, her expression didn't change at all; she simply sat down gracefully on the sofa in the corner.
"Young Master Yan, your fiancée has arrived." A glamorous woman in a strapless top and leather miniskirt said softly to Ji Yan.
Ji Yan looked at Wen Yu, but instead kissed the beauty on the cheek, saying, "What a spoilsport."
"Wen Yu must have been forced to come by her father again," Luo Luo whispered gossipingly.
"That Ji Yan is such a jerk, he clearly cares about Wen Yu, but he's still pretending..." I muttered, then continued drinking, unwilling to watch these lovelorn men and women agonizing over their relationship.
When Luo Luo and I left the private room, Ji Yan kicked a second-generation rich kid, as if the other party had bullied Wen Yu.
We had all been drinking. Luo Luo was picked up by her driver, who was going to take me, but I had to drive to the airport tomorrow, so I called a designated driver through an app.
"You have deviated from the flight path, and the system is replanning your route."
I was sitting in the back seat when the navigation system's voice jolted me awake: "Driver, turn left and just keep going straight!"
"Okay!"
The driver responded, but less than two minutes later, the navigation system started warning that it had deviated from the route. It was pitch black outside, as if we had driven into a secluded alley.
In an instant, alarm bells went off in my head, and I immediately picked up my phone and unlocked it using facial recognition.
Just then, the car stopped.
