Chapter 168 Intentionally Making Me Misunderstand Fu Yanshen

Makino Akira said that the person who led the attack on him was missing his little finger on his left hand.

Could it be that Fu Ren just randomly picked someone to fob me off?

I looked around suspiciously, searching for Fu Yanshen's figure.

In the vast warehouse, spanning over a thousand square meters, all the roof lights were turned on, making it as bright as day.

Fu Yanshen took something from Fu Ren's hand and was walking towards me.

Fu Ren was wearing oversized leather shoes, ripped jeans, and a cool black sleeveless vest for summer. He had a wheatish complexion and well-developed, muscular arms.

He looks rough and rugged, yet he exudes the openness of a tough guy.

From a short distance away, I noticed that he was looking at me expressionlessly, lacking his usual arrogance and dissatisfaction. When our eyes met, he immediately looked away, and then looked at me with a displeased expression.

At that moment, a powerful aura caught my attention, and Fu Yanshen, dressed in all black, walked up to me.

"This person has all ten fingers intact, what do you mean?" I raised an eyebrow and asked him.

Fu Yanshen's expression darkened noticeably, his brows furrowing. "What, do you think Ah Ren and I just found some random scapegoat to fob you off?"

He asked me in a low, languid tone.

I gave him a cold look and didn't say a word.

At that moment, Fu Yanshen raised his hand and threw something in front of me. It looked like human skin. I was so frightened that I stepped back, and the thing fell onto the cement floor.

It was a very thin, human-skin-colored glove, but it was missing a little finger.

I frowned.

Could it be that the murderer was disguised by wearing these gloves?

I often visit film sets and have seen all sorts of makeup and props. This glove looks like a prop used by the film crew.

"If you don't believe me, take a look at this." Fu Yanshen handed me a silver tablet, his tone indifferent.

I took it.

It's surveillance video from the road.

At 11:03 p.m., a white minivan stopped on a road with few vehicles. At that moment, a group of eight people walked towards the minivan.

They stood by the roadside, smoking and talking.

The one in the lead, facing the camera, had the same build and face as the man hanging from the beam. Then, they got into the van.

The next scene is an underground parking lot. A van with the same license plate drives for two minutes, then turns a corner and disappears from the frame.

A minute later, faint cries of pain could be heard.

A dozen minutes later, the van reappeared on the surveillance footage, exiting the underground parking lot...

Surveillance videos cannot be faked; the recording time is clearly displayed in the upper left corner.

It was this group of people who attacked Makino.

With a "pia!" sound, I looked up and heard the cracking sound of a whip.

Fu Ren's henchman, Huang Mao, lashed the man's back with a whip, instantly leaving another bright red welt.

He spun around in mid-air, his entire right arm covered in tattoos, and he had a strong, muscular physique similar to Fu Ren's.

"Brother Ren, this bastard still won't confess!" the blond-haired man shouted.

Fu Ren walked over with his hands in the back pockets of his jeans, his steps unhurried and nonchalant.

After approaching the murderer, he looked up, raised his hand, and hooked his index finger.

Huang Mao lowered the person who was hanging down and had him untied. Soon, the murderer was held up by two people and faced Fu Ren.

Fu Ren held a pair of pliers in his hand, seemingly in the posture of trimming the nails of the murderer, looking very relaxed and at ease. Then, he pulled them out.

"Aww—"

Painful cries echoed throughout the warehouse.

Fu Ren forcefully pulled out the murderer's fingernails.

At this moment, he pulled out another one.

I stopped watching and walked closer to Fu Yanshen.

He crossed his legs, leaned back in a black leather armchair, and closed his eyes to rest.

The black shirt accentuated the pale skin of his neck and handsome face, giving him an air of refined elegance and aloofness.

I sat down on another sofa and looked at him. "Who exactly ordered him to impersonate Fu Ren and injure Mu Ye? What was his purpose?"

If Fu Ren's enemies wanted to frame him, why did they choose to target Mu Ye?

Fu Yanshen lifted his eyelids, glanced at me sideways, and said, "Finally believe me?"

The man's voice was cool and aloof.

I neither agreed nor disagreed.

“Fu Ren represents me. As for the rest, you can figure it out yourself.” He looked away, his voice low and magnetic.

He closed his eyes again, looking lazy and unwilling to talk to me.

My brow furrowed more and more. Fu Ren represented him. Someone wanted to frame Fu Yanshen, saying that he had instructed Fu Ren to injure Mu Ye.

As for the purpose...

Are you trying to make me misunderstand Fu Yanshen?

Mu Ye is someone I care about a lot. He was beaten by Fu Ren, so of course I would assume that Fu Yanshen was the one who instigated it.

He was also angry because of my growing closeness with Makino.

My heart skipped a beat, and I suddenly had a realization. I stared blankly at the man beside me.

So who is it?

Who wants me to misunderstand him?

I got up and walked towards the blond-haired man.

"This guy is from northern Myanmar. He doesn't have any relatives in China, he has no weaknesses, and he's a tough nut to crack. Getting him to talk is a real pain." Before I could even ask, the chatterbox, blond hair, muttered to me.

Northern Myanmar?

The mere mention of this place sends a chill down my spine; an instinctive disgust mingles with a touch of fear.

The man's ten fingers were dripping blood. Fu Ren was holding pliers and was about to twist his left little finger when I quickly turned my back.

"You're just pretending to be Ninja Bro, aren't you? Ninja Bro will make you lose a real finger!" the blond-haired man said fiercely.

A sharp "crack" was heard, followed by a bloodcurdling scream like a pig being slaughtered.

Fu Ren is truly ruthless.

However, thinking of Makino's hands, he deserved it. The most despicable thing was the person who ordered him around!

It's not a big deal that you deliberately made me misunderstand Fu Yanshen, but what's infuriating is that you've implicated Mu Ye, and it's uncertain whether his hand will ever fully recover!

"Still being stubborn, huh? Won't you tell us?" the blond-haired guy's voice rang out again. "Brother Ren said he's going to mess with your manhood!"

When I turned around, I saw the man on the ground backing away repeatedly, looking genuinely frightened.

Fu Ren and the others hung him up again.

I turned away, not wanting to watch anymore.

As he approached Fu Yanshen, a painful roar echoed from inside the warehouse: "I...I'll talk!"

My eyes lit up.

"Ah Ren! What sins have you committed now?!" Just then, an angry female voice came from the warehouse door.

Shi Jin, dressed in a beige dress, walked briskly toward them.

Why is she here?

Fu Yanshen opened his eyes and sat up straight, but Shi Jin walked straight towards him.

Fu Ren.

"Ah Ren, how could you do these illegal and cruel things again? What did your sister tell you?!" She rushed up to Fu Ren and angrily accused him.

He looked at him with a disappointed expression.

Fu Renchong used sign language to communicate with her.

“He framed you. You can call the police and let them handle it. But you hurt someone on your own, which is a sin!” Shi Jin shook her head and advised Fu Ren earnestly.
