Chapter 215 Fu Yanshen Arrives

Today happens to be the opening ceremony of Fu Yanshen Group. At this time, he should be at the banquet, raising a glass in celebration.

Even now, I never thought he would come to save me.

He didn't come when I needed him most and called him for help...

After that, I broke my dependence on him and stopped being obsessed with the sense of security he gave me.

"We're both orphans, so why were you adopted by a wealthy family and raised as a pampered heiress for over twenty years? What did I do wrong? We're both daughters, but they spoil my sister so much, while I have to wear hand-me-downs from my uncles and aunts!"

At this point, Jin started complaining and blaming others again.

I couldn't be bothered to listen to her nonsense, but she kept rambling on and on.

"I deliberately left my sister on the beach, thinking someone would pick her up. Who knew she was so short-lived and was swept away by the waves!"

"What does this have to do with me? I didn't want her to die either..."

Ah, she finally admitted that she was Feng Jiaojiao.

“I am a good person. I am good to everyone. I treat the children in the orphanage as my own sisters and brothers. I care about them and take care of them.”

Listening to Shi Jin's words, I looked up at the camera that had made the sound.

“Shi Jin, you actually feel guilty about your sister’s death, but you refuse to admit that you are so bad. So you try your best to be nice to others, trying to prove that you are a good person.”

"I'm a good person, you forced me to!" Shi Jin retorted sharply. "I poured my heart out to Fu Yanshen, helped him get a suitable heart, and saved his life. How did he treat me? He ran back to the capital to find you the moment he opened his eyes!"

“I was hoping he would marry me and get rid of that old man Han Chen, but he'd rather go bankrupt than marry me! I know he only refuses to marry me because he thinks I was ruined by Sheng Beichen… He used to listen to me so much…”

"Sheng Qiaoqiao, it's all because of you that I've been ruined like this. A Shen despises me, so I'll ruin you too. Let's see if Fu Yanshen will still want you after you've been defiled by other men!"

"By the way, you don't know where his own heart went, do you?"

Shi Jin became increasingly frantic as he spoke, and his last question startled me.

What does she mean?

What does it mean for Fu Yanshen to have his own heart?

"Go in and rape her!"

Shi Jin's vicious words interrupted my thoughts. The iron gate was pushed open from the outside, and three tall, burly men in camouflage uniforms, each carrying a machine gun, entered.

They looked at me lewdly as they took down the machine gun.

I held my breath, my hands instinctively bracing against the wall, every nerve in my body tense, facing three ravenous beasts.

"Shi Jin! What can you do to me? If Ouyang sees my condition, he won't transfer the money to Han Chen!" I shouted at the camera.

"Don't try to play mind games with me!"

Shi Jin wasn't fooled. Three men approached me, carrying a nauseating stench of sweat and body odor. I stood up against the wall, moved my feet, and retreated step by step, my heart pounding in my throat.

"What are you all standing there for? Give her to me—ah—!"

Before Shi Jin could finish speaking, she let out a painful scream.

The three men immediately reached for their guns, when a sharp gunshot rang out.

I watched as the three of them fell to the ground one after another, their tall, muscular bodies slamming onto the earth, blood gushing from their foreheads.

Covering my mouth, I looked up, my heart pounding—

Under the cold white light, a tall, slender man in a dark suit stood in the doorway, holding a black pistol in his right hand.

His tie was loose, the top few buttons of his white shirt were undone, and his chest heaved dramatically.

Beneath thick eyebrows, a pair of deep eyes scrutinized me from head to toe, his thin lips pressed into a thin line.

I stared blankly at Fu Yanshen, whom I thought was impossible to come to, yet deep down I believed he would come to save me, and for a moment I forgot to breathe...

He strode towards me, bringing with him a faint, refreshing woody scent.

Fu Yanshen stood in front of me, his hands on my shoulders, looking down at me, his warm masculine aura enveloping me.

I finally remembered to breathe, and my eyes involuntarily welled up with tears.

Where are you hurt?

His eyes darkened, his brows furrowed, and his deep, magnetic voice betrayed his nervousness.

At that moment, my eyes must have been red. He probably thought I was injured and in pain. I shook my head. "I... I'm not injured."

His voice was extremely hoarse.

Fu Yanshen's expression softened, and the next moment, he grabbed the back of my head and pressed me into his hard chest.

Listening to his thunderous heartbeat and smelling his scent, I let down my guard, raised my arms, and hugged him tightly.

At that moment, my heart, which had been in my throat, finally returned to its place, and tears of lingering fear streamed down my face.

Fu Yanshen visibly stiffened, and in an instant, he rested his chin on the top of my head and hugged me tightly.

The man's iron arm gripped me tightly, making it hard for me to breathe, but he quickly released me.

He took two steps, picked up my shoes, and walked back to me.

He knelt on one knee, half-squatting in front of me, his large hand gripping my slender ankle, and lifted my left foot.

I lost my balance and grabbed his head, only to see him holding my dusty feet.

They don't mind getting dirty.

He must have seen the blisters on the soles of my feet. "Does it hurt a lot?"

"It's much better, it doesn't hurt as much anymore," I said softly.

Fu Yanshen nodded, stroked my feet to wipe away the dust, and helped me put on my shoes.

"Rin! How could you be content to be his dog?!"

Just as Fu Yanshen stood up, Shi Jin's voice came from outside the door.

Fu Ren pointed a black pistol at Shi Jin and walked in, holding her hostage.

He threw Shi Jin to the ground.

"ah--"

Shi Jin screamed in pain. She was wearing a long black trench coat, half of her face was covered with gauze, and her right eye was burned and swollen like a walnut.

"Fu Yanshen! You, you really came here to die! You don't know yet, do you? Han Chen is Zhen Ye, one of the three major drug lords in northern Myanmar! Tonight, you will all die here one by one!"

Shi Jin remained arrogant and overbearing.

At this moment, Fu Yanshen raised his right hand, the muzzle of the black pistol in his hand pointing at her. Shi Jin's face turned pale instantly, and she pushed off the ground and backed away.

"Fu Yanshen! Your life—"

Before Shi Jin could finish speaking, Fu Yanshen pulled me into his arms and covered my ears with his hands.

I still heard gunshots, just not as loud.

He ended Shi Jin's life with his own hands...

"Are all the security cameras turned off here?"

Fu Yanshen's voice was calm, as if nothing had just happened.

I left his embrace.

He asked Fu Ren this question.

Fu Ren nodded and then gestured to him.

Fu Yanshen looked at the back window of the room. "Take Qiaoqiao out through the back window, and I'll go out through the front door to distract Han Chen."
