Chapter 246 Pounce on him

Fu Yanshen remained expressionless, his deep European-style eyes calm and still as he glanced at me indifferently. "Thank you for your trouble."

They are sparing with words.

He is someone I both know and am unfamiliar with.

It felt like going back to the very beginning, to when I first met him.

My gaze remained fixed on him, who was within reach, for a long while before I snapped out of my daze and quickly nodded, "Please come with me to the VIP area on the second floor."

He nodded in acknowledgment.

"Sir, what is your surname?"

"No need for formalities, my surname is Fu."

"Mr. Fu, hello, this is Jiang Shuyi."

As soon as I got upstairs, I remembered to introduce myself to him and extended my right hand to him.

Perhaps I was too enthusiastic. Fu Yanshen looked down at my hand, raised his eyebrows slightly, and seemed unwilling. Then he slowly raised his eyes and swept his cold gaze over me.

It was just a handshake.

This guy is far too self-disciplined.

I naturally extended my hand to ease the awkwardness and introduced, "Mr. Fu, the second floor is full of high-end jewelry designed by our company's top designers, including bracelets, rings, brooches, watches, and more."

"Could you tell me who this person is to you?"

"Grandmother".

He said calmly, his gaze falling on the spotless glass cabinet.

It turns out he came to London to visit his grandmother; he had mentioned it to me briefly when Anna appeared earlier.

He has become quite humane now, and he knows to visit relatives and friends during the Chinese New Year.

"For your grandmother... I personally suggest a brooch or bracelet. We have several elegant and unique brooches here..."

I said sincerely, put on gloves, opened the glass case, and took out several exquisite and vintage brooches. "Each one is unique, and the gemstones and diamonds are all certified."

The light shone on the gemstone, making it sparkle.

Fu Yanshen and I stood very close together, admiring the brooch on the black velvet fabric. His unique scent filled the air, and his faint breathing stirred my heart.

I must exert myself to the utmost to avoid impulsively acknowledging him as my father.

"I'd like to have both the brooch and the bracelet. Do you have matching sets?"

“Yes.” I took out a set. “I highly recommend this set of vintage Western-style emeralds. It’s dignified, elegant and noble for older people to wear.”

Fu Yanshen nodded, "Pick him up."

He readily agreed and took out his wallet.

I noticed that his wallet was different; it wasn't the one I gave him before. I also specifically looked inside, at the area where the photos were kept, and there was nothing there...

He used to always keep a photo of me in his wallet.

Now……

Has he completely forgotten me?

My heart was pounding, and I clenched my hands tightly, desperately trying to suppress the urge to ask him.

"Ms. Jiang?"

The man's indifferent voice pulled me back to my senses; he was handing me a black card.

I calmed down and said, "Excuse me, I'll go and settle your bill right away."

"By the way, Mr. Fu, we also have men's fashion here. Would you like to take a couple of outfits with you? Our autumn/winter British-style suits would really suit your style." After taking a few steps, I turned to him and said with a smile.

I'm telling the truth.

Every time I come here to do market research, when I see the clothes in the men's clothing section, I imagine what he would look like wearing them.

He's a natural clothes hanger.

Fu Yanshen was clearly taken aback for a moment, then narrowed his eyes slightly. "Then please help me put together a suit for the banquet."

"OK."

Matching suits for him is something I'm best at and have always enjoyed doing.

Annie took out a tape measure to measure his bust, waist, and hips, but Fu Yanshen, as always, seemed very resistant. He was about to speak when I spoke first.

“Annie, no need. Mr. Fu’s size is 104, 84, 96.”

I raised my voice.

He looks the same as he did two years ago.

Fu Yanshen narrowed his eyes, staring at me, and I looked back at him...

We stood a few steps apart, gazing at each other. My blood boiled, and all my love and longing for him were reflected in my eyes.

In that instant, I selfishly hoped he would recognize me, and then, without a second thought, rush towards him, regardless of the consequences or the future...

"Oh! Mr. Jiang, how did you know?" Annie's surprised voice brought me back to my senses.

Fu Yanshen regained his indifference.

He didn't recognize me.

As I felt disappointed, I also became completely clear-headed. "Mr. Fu's physique is clearly that of an international supermodel; you can tell."

He made up a random excuse, paid the bill, and left.

He had barely left when I grabbed my briefcase to go. "Ms. Jiang, aren't you going to look at the reports anymore?"

Annie pressed me for an answer.

They must think that I, the queen of work and a career woman, have been bewitched today, chasing after a handsome stranger and ignoring my reports.

I hurriedly chased after him to the mall's elevator entrance, but Fu Yanshen had already gone inside. Just as the elevator doors were closing, I rushed in.

I lost my footing and cried out in surprise, deliberately bumping into his hard chest. His breath hit me, and I greedily inhaled it, while I heard his steady and powerful heartbeat.

That's not enough, I want to reach out and hug him...

"Ms. Jiang?" A cold, displeased male voice came from above my head.

I snapped out of my daze and reluctantly pulled away from his embrace. "I'm sorry, I lost my balance just now."

The man glanced at me indifferently, took a step back, and distanced himself from me, his face seemingly saying "keep away."

She's still as aloof as ever.

When we got to the underground parking lot, I tried to strike up a conversation with him, but he ignored me and walked straight to a black G-Class.

I stood there, stunned, watching his car drive away before getting into my own.

That night, I couldn't sleep until the early hours of the morning, and when I finally fell asleep, all I could dream about was him.

In the days that followed, I acted like a young girl experiencing her first love. I took leave to rest and went to places we had been before, subconsciously searching for his figure, hoping to bump into him again.

When he comes to London, he will surely miss our past.

However, whether I was overthinking it or we just missed each other due to a lack of understanding, I never met him again.

I finally saw him again on New Year's Eve at a New Year's Eve dinner held by the Chinese community in London.
