It must have been made by the housekeeper.
Yesterday morning, my aunt asked him to bring me breakfast.
This time, I wasn't being presumptuous.
Anyone else, even the nanny in my house, cares about me more than Fu Yanshen does.
I instantly lost my appetite.
Fu Yanshen picked up another spring roll and fed it to my mouth. I looked at him coldly and said, "I can't eat anymore, I feel nauseous."
He frowned, clearly displeased, and said stiffly, "Eat some more plain porridge."
I can't eat.
I didn't even lift my eyelids to look at him, and said coldly.
Fu Yanshen didn't force me; he put down his chopsticks.
Seeing him leave made me feel much better.
However, he quickly returned, this time with a toothbrush holder and a washbasin in his hands.
"brush teeth."
The man handed me a toothbrush with toothpaste on it.
Is he sick?
Why are you bothering me if you're not going to work?
I ignored him, pulled the blanket over myself, and the next moment, he ripped the blanket off.
"Sheng Qiaoqiao, you stink."
He said with a hint of disdain.
I threw up last night, and there's still a slight sour smell on me. I've only rinsed my mouth, and what he said made me feel disgusted.
"hiss……"
As soon as I moved, many parts of my body ached and hurt, and I gasped.
“Just sit on the bed and brush it,” Fu Yan said in a deep voice.
He placed an empty bowl on the small dining table. I took the toothbrush from him, and as I looked down, my hair fell down, some of it sticking to my cheeks and getting in the way.
I was feeling annoyed when the man's fingers brushed the hair away from my cheek. His cigarette-scented fingertips brushed against my skin, like ants crawling, causing a slight itch.
He stood on the edge of the bed, bent over, swept all my long hair behind my head, called over a nurse, and actually asked her for a hair tie, then personally tied my hair up for me.
The movements seemed very practiced.
Heh, he must have helped his childhood sweetheart a lot.
Thinking of Shi Xia, that feeling of being wronged and frustrated surged up again.
The doctor said I couldn't be agitated and needed to stay calm and relaxed. I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down.
After I rinsed my mouth, Fu Yanshen took a towel and washed my face for me. I kept a cold expression on my face the whole time.
After the doctor came to check on me, he pushed me to the outpatient building and I had another brain CT scan.
Back in the ward, I was idly playing on my phone when Fu Yanshen placed a plate on the small table in front of me, the air filled with the fresh scent of oranges.
I looked closely and saw that the fruit plate contained peeled orange segments, clean and without a single pith.
I was stunned for a moment, and distant memories flooded back.
Ever since I was kidnapped and rescued by Fu Yanshen, the bodyguard sent by my father, I asked my father for him so that he could stay in England and protect me every step of the way.
Back then, I often ordered him around.
"Xiao Fu, quick, peel an orange for me."
I was busy playing games and didn't have time to peel the orange, so I had to ask him to do it.
Fu Yanshen was initially unwilling, and he would say coldly, "Miss, I am only responsible for your safety. Your daily life is not within my scope of responsibility."
But I kept pestering her.
"Xiao Fu, please!"
"Fu Yanshen! How can you be so stingy? You won't even help peel an orange. With you like this, what girl would want to marry you in the future? You have absolutely no sense of human kindness!"
"Xiao Fu, I really want to eat an orange..."
He was so annoyed by me that he finally gave in.
"I hate that white pith in the orange, could you peel it off for me? Thanks, Xiao Fu!"
Later, I often made him peel oranges, and he peeled them meticulously, leaving not a single white pith.
Looking back now, I realize how willful I was back then. It was really annoying to force people to do things against their will, and that's probably how Fu Yanshen's dislike for me accumulated.
But he doesn't have to marry me.
I didn't hold a knife to his neck and force him to marry me.
He both hates me and wants to use me to climb the social ladder through the Sheng family.
I looked at the plate of oranges, a smirk playing on my lips, and the next instant, I threw the plate away.
"Smack!"
The plate fell onto the floor tiles, shattering into pieces, with orange segments scattered all over the floor.
The air was filled with the fresh, sweet scent of oranges.
"you--"
Fu Yanshen looked at this scene, his face cold as he hesitated to speak to me. His thin lips were tightly pressed together, and his cheekbones were sharp, as if he was suppressing his anger.
I rolled my eyes at him defiantly and continued playing on my phone.
The nanny came over and cleaned up the oranges on the floor. Fu Yanshen was on the outside balcony making a phone call. A little while later, the door to the ward was pushed open.
It's Luo Luo.
She walked towards me, holding a bouquet of elegant and sophisticated vintage-style quicksand roses in her arms.
She was dressed casually, with her chestnut brown curly hair tied into a high ponytail full of energy, and a signature infectious smile on her face.
Seeing her makes me happy.
Ji Yan followed closely behind, and Song Sinan was the last to enter.
Upon seeing him, I instinctively straightened my pajamas.
"Luo Luo, Ji Yan, Si Nan, you're here too!"
I greeted them enthusiastically.
Song Sinan put down the fruit basket. "Qiaoqiao, are you feeling better?"
"I feel much better!" I said with a genuine smile.
"You brat, are you treating me like I'm invisible?" Ji Yan said sourly, raising his hand to touch my head.
"Hey! Brother Yan, you can't touch Qiao Qiao's head right now!" Luo Luo quickly stopped him.
"He has no sense of proportion." I rolled my eyes at Ji Yan with disdain.
Ji Yan pinched my cheek with his fingers and pulled hard.
I was so angry that I raised my arm to punch him.
