He looked like he wanted to kill me, his eyes were like nails, his thin lips were tightly pursed, and his sharp jawline was pressing against his cheeks as if it wanted to break out of his thin skin!

The man reacted quickly by pressing the elevator stop button, and his agile figure sprinted down the elevator, chasing after Shi Xia who was still tumbling down.

"She deliberately fell down!" I said loudly, looking down at the first floor.
Airport paramedics had already brought a stretcher and were performing CPR on Shi Xia; her condition appeared to be serious.

I followed them to the cardiac surgery department.
Just as they turned the corner, they saw Fu Yanshen walk out of a consultation room, accompanied by a young male doctor and his special assistant Lin Xiao.
Upon seeing me, Fu Yanshen stopped in his tracks, his gaze shifting from my face to the policeman beside me.
He gave him a wink, and Lin Xiao immediately stepped forward.

"Officers, what is this...?"
After a police officer showed him his badge, he said in a well-trained manner, "We're looking for Shi Xia. We need her to cooperate with the investigation of a case."
Lin Xiao gave me a complicated look.
"Gentlemen, Shi Xia was injured today and just underwent emergency treatment. She is currently in the intensive care unit and has not yet regained consciousness."
He then spoke to the two police officers handling the case.

Just as I was about to ask the police for help, Fu Yanshen pushed open a white door and pulled me inside.
He shook me off, and I staggered, only managing to steady myself by grabbing the edge of a doctor's desk.
With a loud bang, he slammed the door shut.
A sinister-looking man approached me.

The stitched scar on his forehead was faintly visible under his bangs, further highlighting his inherent thuggishness.
Was he settling scores after the fact, trying to make up for the slap he gave at the airport?
Just as I was about to straighten my back, Fu Yanshen suddenly grabbed my neck.
"Sheng Qiaoqiao, do you want to die? How long are you going to keep this up? Shi Xia almost lost her life!"
His tone was icy, almost like he was gritting his teeth, and he tightened his grip, making it hard for me to breathe.
He was so angry with me that Shi Xia ended up in the ICU!
"I didn't push her, she deliberately fell! If you don't believe me, you can check the airport surveillance footage!" I retorted loudly.
He never believed me. Every time Shi Xia got into trouble, he always assumed that I was the one who harmed her!
My throat felt increasingly congested and uncomfortable.
"cough--"
Upon hearing my words, Fu Yanshen tightened his grip even more, causing me to cough uncomfortably.
“These things are not important,” he said coldly.
I was taken aback, not understanding what he meant.
"Shi Xia was originally supposed to live for thirty years, but after this fall today, she'll only live for another three to ten years. Sheng Qiaoqiao, why are you so reckless?!"
Fu Yanshen spoke in a tone that suggested he wanted to strangle me, his eyes seeming to want to skin me alive.

The hand gripping my neck was trembling.
