"I'll go see if the rain has stopped," I said calmly, and strode towards the balcony.
The rain was still falling, though a little less than before. The air outside was fresh, and I was breathing deeply, my cheeks still burning.
I scratched my left wrist with my fingers, and the heat on my face suddenly cooled down.
I stood there for a long time before turning around and going back to my bedroom.
As soon as I entered, a melodious chord ringtone sounded; it was Fu Yanshen's cell phone ringtone.
His phone ringtone has always been the default chord, he never uses any fancy ringtones.
I walked to the bedside table, and the phone screen displayed the words "Jin'er".
"Fu Yanshen! You're calling!" I shouted into the bathroom. "It's your white moonlight calling!"
Through the frosted glass, the man's tall, blurry figure could be seen.
He didn't reply to me from inside, so I took my phone and went over there.
"You answer it for me!" he called out shortly.
He actually asked me to answer?
I raised an eyebrow, paused for a moment, then answered the call, turning on the speakerphone and turning the volume up to the maximum.
"Ah Shen." Shi Jin's voice rang out.
"Fu Yanshen is in the bathroom... washing his body," I told the truth.
Shi Jin fell into a brief silence, and after a while, she spoke again.
I gently slid open the sliding door and reached my phone into the bathroom.
"Qiaoqiao, hello. It's like this, I didn't have time to ask Ashen tonight... I think I lost my jade Buddha pendant last night at his place." Shi Jin's gentle voice came from the speaker and echoed in the bathroom.
