Chapter 77 Xia Lulu
This is Xia Lulu's second trip to Guangzhou.
Different from the first time when she was full of confidence, now she was like a lost dog. She couldn't help shivering even when she saw people wearing big hats on the train.
It was not until that person left that he slowly raised his head.
These days, more and more people come to Guangzhou.
She followed the crowded crowd and got off the train. It was cold and rainy outside, a damp and cold feeling that was completely different from the cool and dry weather in Yuncheng. It was like a quilt that would never dry out, wrapping her tightly and making it almost impossible for her to breathe.
She stood on the platform.
Everyone seemed to have a destination, but she didn't know where.
She only knew that she had to go find Boss Zheng.
But is Mr. Zheng really still in Guangzhou?
Xia Lulu walked out of the train station in a daze and got on the bus that she had taken many times.
I don’t know how long I stood there, and then I followed the people getting off the bus and walked to a place I had been to who knows how many times.
That was Mr. Zheng’s previous residence, a two-story arcade with white walls, a tall and narrow wooden door, and colorful windows on the top floor. It still retains the unique style of Xiguan people.
Xia Lulu used to be quite obsessed with the exotic style, but now when she saw the dark windows, she just felt tired.
Boss Zheng, will you be in there?
She knocked on the door.
But there was no response from inside.
Not only was there no sound inside, but the surrounding area was also as silent as death.
"Boss Zheng? Boss Zheng? Are you here?"
Xia Lulu kept calling out, her voice gradually changing from gentle at first to anxious.
However, still no one replied to her.
After a long while, a passerby passed by and saw her knocking on the door, and asked:
"Pretty girl, who are you looking for?"
Xia Lulu turned around and tidied up her loose hair:
"I'm looking for Boss Zheng."
"Boss Zheng?"
The man looked at the arcade in front of him and said:
"There's no boss here. There's been no one here for a long time!"
Xia Lulu froze instantly:
"How is that possible? I've mailed things to Boss Zheng before..."
"They all left. The government wanted to demolish the house, so they all moved out after the New Year."
After the man finished speaking, he pointed to the side of the arcade.
There was a blood-red word "拆" (demolish) with a circle on it painted on the wall, but Xia Lulu didn't see it.
Xia Lulu grabbed him:
"Brother... do you know where the people inside have moved to?"
The man shook his head:
"How should I know? There are only old Guang houses around here. I have never heard of Mr. Zheng. Even if he lived here before, he must have rented it!"
“As a tenant, who knows where he went?”
The man said this and left.
Xia Lulu was left staring blankly at the dark window in front of her, as if she was frozen.

In the following days, Xia Lulu continued to look for Boss Zheng with perseverance.
But in such a big city like Guangzhou, finding someone is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Her five hundred dollars was soon gone.
When her money ran out, she had no choice but to move out of the small house she rented and sleep in the train station.
The train station was cold and it started to rain. Even inside the station, it felt like we were in a lingering rain.
Xia Lulu only had five dollars left, but she didn't dare spend it.
Five yuan was the ticket money for returning to Yuncheng, and she was unwilling to spend it even when she was desperate.
Even though she was in despair, she always had a thought in her mind: to find Boss Zheng, to make him settle the debt, and to go back to Yuncheng.
But, can she go back?
When she really had no money, Xia Lulu would even pick up garbage and other people's leftovers.
There was even one time when a man with a lewd look approached her and asked:
"How much is it per session?"
Xia Lulu looked at him in panic, and when he came over, she slapped him on the face and ran away in panic.
She spent several months in fear like this, and Guangcheng could no longer hide.
One day, when she was getting some water at the train station, a staff member pointed at her and said:
"Hey, are you..."
"No! No!"
Xia Lulu ran away again.
She didn't know whether the man really recognized her, but she didn't dare to stay here any longer.
She held the five dollars tightly in her hand, and the only thought in her mind was to go back.
Go back to find Xie Minghui and the Xia family, and ask them to hide me.
I can still live.
But, after returning, will she really have a chance to survive?
Xia Lulu didn't know.
She used her last five dollars to find a bus back to Yuncheng and squeezed herself in.
The bus ride was long, but she didn't care.
She just wanted to go home.
