After returning home from the backyard, Mo'er and Amu met unexpectedly in the yard.
Mo'er looked A'er up and down with her eyes wide open, then stopped at A'er's face and called out sweetly, "Brother-in-law, I'm Mo'er."
With a bright smile, Mo'er walked forward and held Amu's hand.
Amu looked at the beautiful little boy in front of him and liked him very much. He couldn't help but want to get close to him, "Mo'er."
He looked at Linlang, wondering where she had picked up such a beautiful and cute little guy.
Linlang closed the door and led one of them to the wing room. She told Amu about Mo'er's situation, "Mo'er will live in our house from now on until he wants to go home."
"Okay." Amu touched Mo'er's head, "Be good."
Mo'er liked Amu very much and rubbed his palm with her head, "I know, brother-in-law."
Seeing that the two of them were so familiar with each other and accepted each other so quickly, and their relationship was pretty good, Linlang was very relieved.
Amu handed Linlang his handwritten calligraphy, waiting for her comments with a bit of shyness and anticipation. "I haven't written in seven years, so it's a bit rusty."
Linlang read through each picture carefully. She was indeed a little unfamiliar with it at the beginning, but she got better and better at writing later and finally found the feeling.
Mo'er looked over and said, "Brother-in-law's handwriting is really good, much better than the teacher's."
"Has Mo'er ever been educated?"
"I have read it and can write. I will write it for my brother-in-law to see."
Mo'er wrote a few words, and Amu was very impressed. "What books have you read?"
Amu asked questions, and Moer answered fluently, and in their eyes, they could see the appreciation for each other. Amu and Moer were the same type of people, both talented and intelligent, and because of this reason, they were ruthlessly hurt.
Mo'er looked at Amu seriously again, "Brother-in-law, the last person with such talent was the young master. Unfortunately, he went to Northern Qi as a hostage at the age of twelve and never returned."
Amu's blood seemed to freeze, and his eyes were fixed on the handwriting on the table. "How can my brother-in-law compare to the young master? Look at my handwriting, it has no style at all."
"That's true. I heard that the young master could compose poetry at the age of five, and at the age of twelve he passed the imperial examination and was admitted to the Imperial College. He is truly an astonishing talent."
Mo Er sighed, "I don't know when the young master will be able to get rid of his hostage status and return to Jingguo."
In her previous life, Linlang had heard of the young master's talent, but he had been dead for decades, so she hadn't been able to appreciate his brilliance. However, her son admired him greatly and regretted not having the chance to meet him. He had collected many of the young master's manuscripts.
Amu sat quietly, as if listening, but also as if his thoughts were drifting far away.
Linlang rubbed Mo'er's head and said, "You know quite a lot. It's amazing that you and your brother-in-law can get along. So you should spend more time with him and talk to him."
Linlang stood up and said, "Amu, you stay with Mo'er. I'll go make lunch."
"I'll help you." Amu and Mo'er said in unison and stood up.
Both the adult and the child wanted to go, and their attitude was very determined.
"Okay, let's go together." Seeing Amu holding Mo'er's hand, Linlang seemed to see their future days, and Amu would be a good father.
Linlang steamed the rice first and glanced at the two people, big and small, peeling garlic in front of the stove. She thought about how peaceful and quiet life was.
During lunch, Linlang told Rongyi about Mo'er. Such a beautiful and lovely child, and so pitiful, how could she not be loved?
Rong Yi picked out the fish bones for Mo'er and put it into his bowl. "This will be your home from now on. As long as we have something to eat, you won't be left without us."
Mo'er was really touched. She didn't expect to meet so many kind people after coming out. "Thank you, brother."
Su Jinyao picked up a piece of meat with chopsticks for Mo'er and said, "Eat more so you can have more strength. Tomorrow, follow me and practice martial arts to protect yourself."
"Thank you, Brother Yao." Mo'er quickly expressed his determination, "I'm not afraid of hardship. I will practice martial arts well."
Later, when Mo'er heard that Su Jinyao was the fourth son of the Anchang Marquisate, the admiration in his eyes was beyond words. He put down the bowl and kowtowed three times to Su Jinyao, "Master, please accept my disciple's greetings."
Su Jinyao accepted this apprentice and picked up Mo'er. "Okay, let's eat quickly."
"Thank you, Master." Mo'er felt so happy. She had a family and a master.
Yirong smiled and said, "This kid is smarter than me."
Mo'er quickly said, "No, no, I'm just thick-skinned."
This one sentence made the three of them burst into laughter, and a smile appeared on the corner of Amu's mouth while he was drinking fish soup in the side room.
In the afternoon, Rong Yi was going to the countryside to collect pigs. Su Jinyao thought it was quite interesting, so he went with Rong Yi.
Mo'er was like a little top, following Linlang around. He would do anything he could to help, such as washing dishes, sweeping the floor, picking old vegetable leaves from the vegetable garden, feeding the chickens and ducks, and so on.
Linlang carried a basket on her back and went up the mountain to collect herbs. He wanted to follow her, "Sister, if you teach me how to identify herbs, I can help you."
"Look, we've all left. Your brother-in-law must be so lonely at home." The brother and sister looked at Amu who was standing at the door of the wing room. He seldom walked out of the wing room because he was afraid that Su Jinyao would find out and that the neighbors would know of his existence.
Rong Yi was busy learning martial arts, and Lin Lang was busy with household matters, so they rarely talked to each other, and he was indeed very lonely.
Mo'er ran over and took Amu's hand, "Okay, I'll stay at home to take care of my brother-in-law and talk to him."
Don't underestimate Mo'er because he is young. He knows a lot and can chat with anyone, especially Amu. They are both interested in reading and they have a tacit understanding when chatting.
Amu is too quiet, and Linlang feels relieved to have Mo'er, a sunny and cheerful little guy, accompany him.
