After Linlang turned around and left the room, Amu, who was lying on the bed, had his eyelids trembling constantly and a tear flowed from the corner of his eye.
He heard what Linlang said, she said she was his wife.
Many things kept floating around in his mind, making him feel miserable.
Those people were right. No one would even look at him, including his closest relatives, as he was in such a terrible state.
After being abandoned by his family twice in a row, he had no courage to live. He jumped into the river to commit suicide, but he did not die and drifted to Luer Town, where he was drugged and forced into the bridal chamber.
She said that they had a child and asked him to get better quickly. She couldn't let them become orphans and widows, and she had to be responsible for them and their child.
How could he, a man who was determined to die, be responsible for others? But the woman told him that even if the whole world abandoned him, he still had her and the child.
She said that she and her mother would be left alone, with nowhere to go and would be bullied.
His heart was broken. No, he couldn't let his wife and children go through that pain. He had to get better. He couldn't die now.
However, the more he tried to wake up, the more tired he felt, and he soon fell into darkness.
Rong Bowen and his son drove back two pigs. They will sell them at the big market in Luer Town tomorrow.
The next day, the family of three got up before dawn, boiled a pot of water, and prepared to slaughter the pig.
Everything was ready. The father and son pulled the pig out of the pigsty. The pig was howling, especially today.
"boil--"
Amu only felt a scream going straight to the top of his head, pulling him back from the darkness, and he suddenly opened his eyes.
Countless memories crept into his mind. He closed his eyes in pain, and when he opened them again, they were still dim.
He struggled to get up, took the clothes beside him and put them on, walked to the door tremblingly, held the door frame and looked at the three people busy in the yard.
Linlang was holding a basin of pig's blood. When she turned around, she saw the person standing at the door of the wing room and was stunned. Then she ran over happily, only to realize that she was holding pig's blood. She didn't want to scare him, so she turned a corner and ran to the kitchen.
Linlang ran over and grabbed Amu's arms, saying excitedly, "Amu, you're awake, you're finally awake."
"Amu~"
He nodded and looked at the woman in front of him who was smiling with her eyebrows curved, "Madam~"
Linlang blushed. She always told him that she was his wife, but she didn't expect that he would remember it.
Even though we had physical intimacy and were de facto married, I still felt a little embarrassed when he called me "wife." This was the first time in my life, past or present, that a man had called me "wife."
She smiled and nodded, introducing Rong Bowen and Rong Yi to him. "Amu, this is Dad and my brother. Our family is small, with just you and me, there are only four of us."
Ah Mu readily agreed, "Dad, big brother."
Suddenly becoming father-in-law and brother-in-law, the father and son were stunned for a moment, then nodded in agreement.
She hadn't noticed it before when she was lying down, but when she stood up, she realized that Ah Mu was actually quite tall, half a head taller than her father and brother. No wonder she couldn't drag him that night; he was too long.
Looking at those watery eyes, the color of the water is so beautiful. He is definitely the father of her son. The father and son look so much alike.
He is tall and slender, with beautiful bones and a temperament like a bamboo. If it weren't for the scars all over his face and body, he would be a handsome and elegant young man.
Not only Linlang, but Rong Bowen and Rong Yi also sighed in their hearts.
"You're awake." Rong Bowen looked him up and down. "Just woke up, go in and sit down and rest. Once we're done, we'll have breakfast."
Then he instructed Linlang, "Amu just woke up, you stay with him."
Rong Bowen gave Linlang a look and told him about the situation at home, asking him not to go out and wander around in case someone saw him.
Linlang understood and supported Amu's arm, "You just woke up and your body is still weak. Go back and lie down quickly."
After Amu finished washing up, Linlang felt his pulse and handed him a cup of warm water. "You're getting better. Finish the medicine today, and the toxins in your body should be cleared."
Although we are de facto married, we don't know each other well. If you want to leave after you recover from your illness, you have to wait until we are married before you find an excuse to leave."
"I have nowhere to go and no one to rely on except you." Amu's hand trembled slightly as he held the water cup, feeling a little aggrieved. "What you said doesn't count."
"Ah?" Linlang's heart softened at his pitiful appearance, and she quickly shook her head, "No, no, it's settled."
"You said you didn't want you and your mother to be left alone, with nowhere to go, and be bullied. So you told me to get better quickly."
"You said, even if the whole world abandons me, I still have you and your mother."
Ah Mu looked at Lin Lang cautiously. "I don't have a past. I only have a future. I'm your husband and the father of your children. I don't have a name. I only remember you calling me Ah Mu."
Linlang understood what he meant. He abandoned the past and lived the rest of his life just for them. His previous identity was no longer important. He was just her Ah Mu.
I also wanted to tell her that they had no enemies, and don't worry, no one would come to seek revenge, and they were safe.
They are all poor people.
Linlang knew in her heart that he had been abandoned and forsaken, and her heart was broken.
They are all poor people.
"Okay, from now on you will be Rong Linlang's A'mu, my husband, and the father of my child." Linlang told him about the situation at home, including the dispute with the Li family, without reservation.
"You are currently an illegal resident, so no one can know about this. Just rest and recuperate in the yard. Once Dad gets you a household registration, you can come and go freely."
"Okay." Amu looked at Linlang's smile, and a ray of sunshine shone through the cracks in his broken heart.
